Zyloo Chat has no backend and does not store your data on its own server.
Depending on your choices, the browser may store:
- Chat history in
localStorage - A persistent API key in
localStorage - A temporary API key in
sessionStorage - Theme and interface preferences in
localStorage
This data is available only in the same browser and website origin. Clearing browser data, using another browser, or opening the page from another location may remove or hide it.
Because this project runs entirely in the browser, your API key is used directly by JavaScript when sending requests to Zyloo.
- Do not save your API key on public or shared devices.
- Temporary key storage is safer than persistent storage.
- Never commit an API key to GitHub.
- Never paste an API key into an Issue, screenshot, or public message.
- Set spending or usage limits for your Zyloo key when possible.
- Revoke the key immediately if you believe it has been exposed.
- Do not send passwords or sensitive personal information to AI models.
For a public, organizational, or multi-user deployment, use a secure backend and keep API keys on the server.
Opening index.html directly is enough for normal use. For local development, you can optionally run:
python -m http.server 8000Then open:
http://localhost:8000
