Checklist

  • I have read the Contributing Guidelines.
  • I have run yarn build after adding my changes without getting any errors.
  • I have not committed any changes to yarn.lock.

What

Adds /grants-funding: one page that lists the ten ways to get funded to build on Cardano, says who each one is for, and links to the official program page.

Why

There is no such overview on cardano.org today. Funding is spread over Catalyst, the treasury, Intersect, the Foundation's venture programs, AlphaGrowth, Draper and UNDP, and a builder has to know each one exists to find it.

How it works

  • A persona switcher, "I have an idea", "I have a product", "I contribute to open source", each with a small grid of cards. Details opens the shared Modal with who runs it, a short description and the apply link.
  • Entries carry nothing dated on purpose. The page routes to the program; it does not report on it. The only dates are optional application windows, and the status label (Open, Open until, Opens, Recurring) is derived from them at build time, so it cannot go stale by hand.
  • All content is in src/data/funding.js. docs/get-involved/add-funding-program.md explains the fields and the rules for a card.

Notes

  • New shared StatusPill component, documented under get-involved.
  • Linked from the footer's More column, the developers page, and where-to-get-ada; not yet in the mega menu. @katomm, proposal: Build > Get started, third item "Get funded" pointing at /grants-funding.
  • No dedicated social image yet; the page uses the site default until one exists.

Small colour-coded label for a lifecycle or availability state, tinted
from the semantic tokens. Documented under get-involved.
Infima leaves --ifm-background-color transparent in light mode, which made
the dialog see-through; use the surface colour. The close button's rotate
transition overhung the edge and produced a horizontal scrollbar.
Persona switcher over program cards that open the shared Modal, a stats
bar with a breakdown dialog, and the data file behind them. The status
label is derived from the program's cadence and window against the build
date; the date logic is a pure util with a test.
Ten ways to get funded to build on Cardano, who each one is for, and the
link to the official program page. BUILD_DATE is exposed as a custom
field so date-based labels agree between server and client.
The 2026 pilot is decided by a panel of community experts instead of the
ada-holder vote of earlier funds, so the card, the FAQ and the type tag no
longer promise a vote. The community-vote type had no other user.

ThemedImage instead of useColorMode so the dark-mode logo does not
change src at hydration; a descendant selector so the card pill size does
not depend on stylesheet order; contain instead of cover for the
starburst mark; the shared scrollToElement for hash navigation.
The data, props, ids, and doc said venue while the page said program.
The apply steps' styles move to the page's own module, the stats wrapper
and a dead dialog-label fallback go, comments narrate less, and the copy
follows the style guide (American spelling, Oxford commas, the Cardano
Foundation).

The social image was a copy of the developers page's, so the page uses
the site default until it has its own. Grants and Funding joins the
footer's More column. The component doc keeps the anchor behaviour and
drops the Modal and react-tabs narration; the stylesheet keeps its why
comments and loses the section dividers.
