Or download a tarball from Releases and copy the two directories into your prefix:

The binary is fully static/self-contained and finds its resources in share/pdf2htmlEX relative to its own location — keep bin/ and the matching share/pdf2htmlEX/ together under the same prefix.

This repository has been revived to build against poppler 24.01 and fontforge 20230101, producing fully static, self-contained binaries.

Tarballs contain bin/pdf2htmlEX + share/pdf2htmlEX/ resources; the binary locates resources relative to its own path. GitHub Actions builds all three platforms on every push and attaches release assets on tags.

Source synced from the maintained fork pdf2htmlEX/pdf2htmlEX at v0.18.8.rc1, then ported forward to modern poppler/fontforge APIs.

pdf2htmlEX renders PDF files in HTML, utilizing modern Web technologies. Academic papers with lots of formulas and figures? Magazines with complicated layouts? No problem!

pdf2htmlEX is also an online publishing tool which is flexible for many different use cases.
