The Static Signal

The Static Signal is a procedural survival horror game built in Godot 4. You are a lone survivor in a frozen valley, relying on a handheld radio to navigate the blizzard and reveal the invisible horrors stalking you.

🎮 Gameplay Loop

  1. Tune In: Use your radio to find Relay Towers hidden in the storm.
  2. Survive: Invisible "Glitch" entities stalk you. They can only be seen when you tune your radio to their specific frequency.
  3. Upgrade: Scavenge caves for batteries, antenna boosters, and auto-tuners.
  4. Escape: Repair 3 Relay Towers to signal for rescue.

🛠️ Technical Details

  • Engine: Godot 4.2+
  • Generation: Uses FastNoiseLite for procedural valley and cave generation.
  • Shaders: Custom screen-space shader for static interference and signal visualization.

🚀 Installation

  1. Clone the repository.
  2. Open project.godot in Godot Engine 4.x.
  3. Press F5 to run the ProceduralWorld.tscn.
