My name is Hannes. I love programming in Python and R, especially on projects related to open data 🌍, data management 🔧, visualization 🎨 and statistics 📊. Currently, I am working as an open data coordinator for the city of Lübeck.

Before moving to Lübeck, I defended my PhD thesis 🎓 in applied statistics at the University of Göttingen. The thesis focused on flexible regression models (especially GAMs and GAMLSS), Bayesian inference (especially probabilistic programming languages) and applications in forestry and ecology.
