I don't touch code until I understand the problem — not just that it works, but why. Two rules I hold to: never ship what I can't explain, and clean over clever. I also switch between building and leading — as PM & Tech Lead at GDSC I ran a 12-person team across 4 projects, so I'm as comfortable writing the code as coordinating the people who do.
