About

I build the backend of web products: APIs, data pipelines, billing, alerts and the integrations that connect them. I have 6 years of experience, working remotely with teams in Canada and Europe.

Currently a Software Engineer at ChartVPS Technologies (Canada, remote), working on ServerIQ.

What I've built

  • Server monitoring: Metrics intake, dashboards and alerts for ServerIQ, which tracks 1,200+ servers for 200+ teams. Alerts go out over 8 channels, from email and SMS to Slack and webhooks.
  • Subscription billing: Stripe plans, entitlements, webhook sync, failed-payment recovery and reconciliation logs for ServerIQ.
  • Banking ERP: The Central Dispatch module for Prime Bank, from first build to UAT, including rider handover with one-time codes and rate uploads of 50,000+ rows.
  • Recruiting search: Boolean search over 50,000+ resumes, Gmail inside the platform, and a 70-80 GB move off WordPress with no downtime.
  • E-commerce: Multi-tenant stores with automatic subdomains and SSL, NetSuite sync, and payment integrations with Stripe, PayPal, Adyen and Primer.
  • Teaching: 6+ Udemy courses on full-stack development and deployment, taken by 72,000+ students, rated 4.5/5.

nestjs-template: A starter template for REST APIs with NestJS, TypeORM, Redis, RabbitMQ and Socket.IO. It includes JWT auth with refresh tokens, Google sign-in, role-based permissions, request logging, rate limiting, Docker Compose, Swagger docs and Jest tests.
