The live banned list already catches “not just X, but Y” and a lot of 2023–2025 filler. These still get through:

  1. Gating / evidence-gated — “gating factor”, “the gating factor”, “evidence-gated”, “evidence gated”, “evidence gating”, “gated on evidence”, “gate on evidence”, “gated by evidence”, “slim gate”, “Slim gate”, “Slim Gate”, “slim-gate”, “Slim-gate”, “slimgate”, “Slimgate”. Consultant cadence with fake precision. Usually means “this depends on X” or “we don’t have the data yet.” “Slim gate” is fake productized jargon in the same cadence; not a real engineering term.
  2. Contrast without “just” — “It's not X, it's Y” / “This isn't X, it's Y”.
  3. Filler adjectives the main vocab line misses: vital, essential, key (as filler), load-bearing (figurative), elegant, powerful, fundamentally.
  4. Assistant praise openers: “You're absolutely right”, “Good catch”.
  5. False candor: “my honest take”, “My honest take”, “honest take”, “my honest opinion”, “if I'm being honest”. Influencer cadence; the writer is about to deliver a canned take, not actual honesty.
  6. Summary bookending as a named structural rule (preview, then recap). Adjacent to the existing “cut paragraph transitions” check, aimed at the whole piece.
  7. minted / minting as fake-clever create/allocate — IDs, records, handles, tickets. Metaphor for ordinary create/issue/assign, not coinage or NFT mint APIs.

Voice and trigger are unchanged: still a writing-task skill, still anti-parataxis. No always-on “terse senior engineer” register in this PR.

… lists miss.

The contrast formula without 'just', assistant praise openers, summary bookending, and consultant 'evidence-gated' cadence still get through.
