14+ years building software. 9 years leading engineering teams. Still writing code.
I'm an engineering leader and software engineer in Portland, Oregon. I like taking ideas from a rough sketch to something people can actually use, and helping teams find their rhythm along the way.
My work spans web and mobile apps, SaaS platforms, APIs, cloud infrastructure, AI integrations, and the occasional piece of hardware. I care about clear architecture, dependable systems, good developer experience, and treating people well.
Outside the day job, I build in public, maintain open source projects, contribute upstream, and follow whatever makes me curious.
I've run companies, served as a Director of Engineering, and reorganized departments into full Scrum teams. I give teams clear direction, make hard decisions, and back my people. Building trust, developing leaders, and helping teams take ownership are a big part of what I do.
I'm comfortable with Scrum, Agile, Waterfall, and the days when we just need to roll up our sleeves and ship. I adapt the process to the work, keep people talking, and stay close enough to the code to help when it matters.

Downloads are lifetime downloads across every package in the jeremykenedy Packagist namespace, including maintained forks. They represent downloads, not unique users. Stars and forks are summed across my public GitHub repositories that are not themselves forks, including archived projects.

These 25 registry listings represent 25 source projects. Another 14 projects have public GitHub releases, for 39 distinct published projects in total. There are 38 repositories with GitHub releases overall, including projects already counted in registries and distribution taps.
Published projects include package registry listings and original public repositories with a published GitHub release, including prereleases. Each source repository counts once, even when distributed through multiple channels. Homebrew taps do not count as extra software projects. Plain repositories and git tags alone do not count as releases. Contributions to other people's projects are shown separately below.
