Backend engineer. I design and build Node.js / TypeScript services and APIs — distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures. Laravel / PHP is my secondary stack due to market demand and past company needs, but Laravel is the framework I most enjoy working with.
- API design — REST design (versioning, pagination, rate limiting), webhook delivery (signing, retries, replay protection). Per-tenant config and feature flags where the product needs it.
- Auth & access control — OAuth, JWT lifecycle, session management, API keys, RBAC. Comfortable wiring up Better Auth or Clerk, or rolling auth from primitives.
- Async & queue-driven workflows — BullMQ / SQS workers, scheduled and cron-driven jobs, idempotency keys, retries with backoff, circuit breakers.
- Data layer — Postgres schema design, indexing, query tuning, N+1 hunting, query batching. Redis for caching by default; lately reaching for Postgres-as-cache on smaller projects to avoid the extra dependency.
- Advanced browser automation — Playwright / Puppeteer at scale, including account registration, email verification, CAPTCHA solving, and bot-detection bypass. A deeper specialty I can bring in when needed.
