Throwaway PR to run the fork's CI on the OTP branch. Will be closed after CI runs.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Improved one-time passcode extraction to recognize valid 4–8 character alphanumeric codes containing both letters and numbers.
    • Refined passcode selection to prioritize the most likely code when multiple candidates are present.
  • Bug Fixes

    • Reduced false matches from decimal values, embedded digits, and longer mixed-character tokens.

Tiger Kaovilai and others added 5 commits September 18, 2026 06:39
Some senders issue alphanumeric codes (e.g. E7CB7B). Add an
alphanumeric candidate pattern: 4-8 chars containing at least one
letter and one digit, so plain words and pure digit runs never match.
Ranked below digit candidates on a keyword-distance tie; requires
OTP-keyword proximity like existing candidates.

Walkthrough

OtpExtractor now detects mixed alphanumeric OTP candidates, rejects embedded and decimal digit patterns, and ranks split, plain, and alphanumeric candidates. Tests cover extraction and tie-breaking behavior.

Changes

OTP extraction

Layer / File(s) Summary
Candidate matching rules
android/app/src/main/java/org/cliprelay/otp/OtpExtractor.kt
Adds stricter plain-digit matching, adds mixed alphanumeric matching, and replaces the boolean candidate field with a numeric rank.
Candidate ranking and validation
android/app/src/main/java/org/cliprelay/otp/OtpExtractor.kt, android/app/src/test/java/org/cliprelay/otp/OtpExtractorTest.kt
Assigns ranks during candidate construction. Extraction prefers split candidates, then plain digits, then alphanumeric codes. Tests cover matching exclusions and tie-breaking.

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to 0695e

The new ranking behavior lacks a true tie-case test, so a future regression could change which OTP is extracted without test detection. This is a bounded test-coverage gap that should be corrected before merge if practical.

Create an actual distance tie in this test.

482910 starts at offset 5 and E3CB4B starts at offset 19. The cod keyword starts at offset 0, so plain digits win by distance before rank tie-breaking runs.

Place the keyword between candidates so both candidates have equal distance. Both candidates still match the existing PLAIN and ALNUM patterns.
