Closed

Description

Description

This issue tracks a few minor phrasing corrections and typo fixes in Lib/socket.py regarding the Windows Sockets API (WSA) error messages.

Specifically, the following error messages have been updated to reflect more accurately descriptions found in Microsoft official documentation here :

Error 10014

  • Old: "A fault occurred on the network??"
  • New: "An invalid pointer was passed."

Error 11004

  • Old: "Valid name, no data record requested type."
  • New: "Valid name, no data record of requested type."

Error 11020

  • Old: "Invalid QoS filter style."
  • New: "Invalid QoS filter type."
