Generate images, videos, music, speech, and sound effects with Runway from Cursor, Grok Bot, and Grok Build.
The plugin is a thin wrapper around Runway's hosted MCP server at https://mcp.runwayml.com/mcp. It adds a /runway command and two skills that teach the agent which Runway tool to use and how to handle uploads, async tasks, and credits. Sign in with your Runway account when prompted — no API key is needed; generations use your existing Runway plan.
In Cursor, type /add-plugin in chat, search for Runway, and install it. Or install from the Cursor Marketplace.
Open Plugins in the sidebar, search for Runway, click Add, and finish the Runway sign-in in your browser. Grok Bot installs plugins from the Cursor Marketplace; the same listing serves both.

For reviewers:
- The plugin makes no network calls itself. It configures the agent to talk to
https://mcp.runwayml.com/mcp(Streamable HTTP). - Authentication is OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration, delegated to
auth.runwayml.com. The user signs in with their Runway account in the browser. No API keys or secrets are stored in this repository or requested from the user. - Tools that create media consume credits on the user's Runway plan and announce this in their descriptions. Purchases happen on runway.com, never in chat.
- No hooks, no shell commands, no bundled binaries.
