Tiles mode is an alternative display of the list of files. It shows a bigger icon with the name underneath, and the next file appears to the side. It looks like this:

In the screenshot above you see pictures because the "thumbnails" plugin is also enabled.

Tiles mode can be enabled in Options, and you can decide the size of the icon. When set to zero, tiles mode is disabled and you return to the standard list mode.
