Adds an opt-in Parallel search provider through the existing SearchProvider abstraction. Set
SEARCH_PROVIDER=parallelin.envafter installing the requirements to search through the anonymous MCP endpoint without a Parallel API key. DuckDuckGo remains the default, Tavily selections keep their existing behavior, and webpage extraction stays with the current extractor. The anonymous service has rate limits; model setup and inference costs are separate.I work at Parallel. For context, here are Artificial Analysis’s Search API benchmarks.
Tested: provider selection, MCP request headers, result mapping, error handling, cancellation, and a real anonymous search through the ResearchSearcher agent loop with a deterministic tool-calling model.
