[data] fix: MultiturnSFTDataset handle messages with list args in tool call - #4125

Code Review
This pull request aims to fix an issue in MultiTurnSFTDataset for handling messages with list arguments in tool calls by using convert_nested_value_to_list_recursive. While this correctly handles converting nested numpy arrays to lists, the current implementation introduces a potential regression by removing the functionality of series_to_item, which unwraps data from single-element pandas.Series or numpy.ndarray containers. I've added a comment with a suggestion to compose both functions to ensure both data cleaning and unwrapping are performed.
Additionally, this PR, which is a fix, lacks a unit test to verify the corrected behavior and prevent future regressions. I strongly recommend adding a test case that reproduces the original issue to validate the fix.

The function convert_nested_value_to_list_recursive handles the conversion of numpy.ndarray to list within the message structure, which is the goal of this PR. However, by replacing series_to_item, you've removed the logic that handles cases where a message list is wrapped inside a single-element pandas.Series or numpy.ndarray. The series_to_item function was responsible for unwrapping these containers.
Removing this functionality could lead to a regression if the input data relies on this unwrapping behavior. The two functions address different issues and should likely be composed. You should first unwrap the data with series_to_item and then clean it with convert_nested_value_to_list_recursive.

Code Review
This pull request aims to fix an issue in MultiturnSFTDataset where list arguments in tool calls are not handled correctly. The change replaces the series_to_item function with convert_nested_value_to_list_recursive to recursively convert np.ndarray instances to lists within the message data. While this correctly addresses the target issue, it also introduces a potential regression by removing the handling for pandas.Series objects, which could lead to runtime errors if such objects are present in the data.

The convert_nested_value_to_list_recursive function does not handle pandas.Series objects. The function it replaces, series_to_item, did have logic for this. If a pandas.Series is present within the nested message structure, it will not be converted to a list, which could cause downstream processing failures. This appears to be a regression. Please consider adding logic to convert_nested_value_to_list_recursive to handle pandas.Series objects, for instance by converting them to lists similar to how np.ndarray is handled.
