Issues

• Point the Docker Hub description at where the image is moving

  wader/postfix-relay#377 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 15, 2026

• Two README passages leave out the case that costs the user: a master.cf service named by address, and docker compose down

• Changing the DKIM selector starts signing with a key whose record has not been published yet

  wader/postfix-relay#368 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• Nothing bounds the file RSYSLOG_LOG_TO_FILE writes, so the host directory the README suggests mounting fills up

  wader/postfix-relay#369 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• The SPF and DKIM section omits reverse DNS and DMARC, so a relay set up as documented is still rejected

  wader/postfix-relay#367 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• Encrypting client connections needs a certificate the README never says how to make

  wader/postfix-relay#365 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• Nothing says the SRS domain has to come back to this relay, and the hardening the README recommends refuses those bounces

  wader/postfix-relay#366 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• The Quick start sets OPENDKIM_DOMAINS to the relay's own hostname, so a user who copies it signs nothing

  wader/postfix-relay#364 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• Two defences in run can be deleted with the suite still green, and one wait can catch an earlier test's bounce

  bug
  wader/postfix-relay#362 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• There is no way to see what a configuration produces short of starting the relay

  enhancement
  wader/postfix-relay#363 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• A relay that never starts takes its log with it: only a failure inside a test body prints one

  wader/postfix-relay#359 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• Nothing records when trixie stops being stable, so the suite bump has no trigger

  enhancement
  wader/postfix-relay#357 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• Every branch pushed here becomes a permanent Docker Hub tag, and some of them read as supported distribution variants

  bug
  wader/postfix-relay#356 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• Nothing cuts a release: 111 commits, including the world readable password fix, are on latest only

  wader/postfix-relay#355 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• The image ships OPENDKIM_Mode=sv, but InternalHosts makes every host internal, so nothing is ever verified

  bug
  wader/postfix-relay#352 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• The job that holds the Docker Hub token runs unpinned actions under permissions the repository never declares

  wader/postfix-relay#353 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• The auth lines deliberately kept out of docker logs are forwarded to the remote syslog server in the clear

  wader/postfix-relay#350 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• Four of the five daemons detach, so their deaths are polled for: noticed seconds late and without an exit code

  bug
  wader/postfix-relay#349 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• The health check never connects, so the failure #206 was about is caught at start-up and never again

  enhancement
  wader/postfix-relay#348 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• Start-up says nothing about the shipped mynetworks and myhostname, so a misconfigured relay logs exactly what a correct one does

  enhancement
  wader/postfix-relay#347 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• The health check re-derives what run started, and can demand a daemon for ever or check no ports at all

  bug
  wader/postfix-relay#346 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• rsyslogd is started last, so nothing a daemon logs while starting reaches the container log

  bug
  wader/postfix-relay#345 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• A POSTFIXMASTER_ entry postconf refuses is dropped and the relay still reports healthy

  bug
  wader/postfix-relay#343 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• Every start rewrites the ownership of the whole queue, and a large one on a slow mount is called unhealthy before postfix listens

  bug
  wader/postfix-relay#344 · Filter by author tigerblue77 opened on Sep 6, 2026

• The six POSTFIX_ settings DKIM and SRS fill in cannot be emptied: the default is written back over the empty value
