🌳 BioComp

BioComp is a web tool for estimating biomass composition from ultimate and chemical analysis data. The code is based on the biomass characterization method discussed in the Ranzi, Debiagi, et al. papers referenced below. The composition is for use with the Ranzi, Debiagi, et al. biomass pyrolysis kinetics scheme.

Installation

To install BioComp locally on your computer, first install uv using the instructions at https://docs.astral.sh/uv. Next, clone this repository, then create a Python environment and install the dependencies using the uv sync command as shown below.

cd biocomp
uv sync

Usage

Run BioComp locally using the uv command shown below.

uv run streamlit run src/app.py

Or go to https://biocomptool.streamlit.app to use it on Streamlit Cloud. See the Usage page for more information about using BioComp.
