Preserve the original headroom investigation, measured optimization snapshots,
small experimental refinement, and reproducible study evidence at c7549ea.
The separately qualified production bundle was merged into main via PR #32.
Future experiments should start from current main; this tag preserves the
historical study without promoting its unmerged refinement.
