Release day at Picket Fence Studios!

It's Release Day at Picket Fence Studios! Hooray!

I made a video of how I made this card - it's on the Picket Fence Studios You Tube channel :)

For this card, I tried to recreate the waggle dance that bees do (it's a thing - check out THIS VIDEO). Not only have I drawn the path of the waggle dance on the card, but the bees are popped up on action wobble springs, so they actually wobble! I used the "Honeycomb" stencil in the background, and the bees and the sentiment are from "I bee fierce".

Release day at Picket Fence Studios

There is a new release of some awesome products from Picket Fence Studios available today! This is what I made with some of them:

I used "Charlie the Chameleon" stamped onto watercolour cardstock, and coloured him using Zig markers and water. I hand-drew the branch he's sitting on, and added some colour above and below the branch, and some pick at the top. I added a white embossed sentiment from the same stamp set.

I wasn't done with Charlie - for this card, I cut him out with the matching die, and coloured him with a rainbow of Copic markers.

I added some interest in the background with the die and some Distress Oxide inks, stamped the sentiment in Picket Fence Studios Black Hybrid Ink, and then popped Charlie up on an action wobbler.

Challenge me a Cristmas Card with Aileen Ryan

Welcome! Last year, I did a series on my blog where I asked people to set me a Christmas card challenge. This year, I'm stepping it up a notch, by asking crafty friends to join me!
How cool is this graphic!! My crafty friend, Kylie Purtell, made it especially for me! YAY!  You can check out her blog HERE.

Today, the challenge theme is Christmas Critters.

My special guest today is Aileen Ryan - you can check out her take on this challenge HERE.

Here's my take:

Fusion: Striped Wreath

Welcome to another Fusion challenge!
You might be wondering how on earth I came up with this card given that the photo inspiration has a black and white striped wreath with a skull? Well, check out the sketch, and tip it on its side - voila!
I also popped the dino up on an action wobbler - check out the video!

Make sure you check out the Fusion blog and join in on the fun!

Challenge me a Christmas Card 16

Welcome back! Today, I have a card that took a lot of thinking - I was challenged by Denise K at choir to make a Sci Fi Christmas card.  I've already made a dinosaur card (yes, dinosaurs are science fact, but a dino wearing a Santa hat is more science fiction!), but I wanted to go with a sci fi theme that would appeal more to my geek/nerd friends. I was also challenged by Helen N at choir to make a pop-up/3D card. So say hello to bobble-head Santa Picard.
Thanks for visiting - come back for more Challenge me a Christmas Card soon!

Thanks for the huge effort

Hi! I have a bright, fun card to share with you today.
I registered for the latest Online Card Class, but I've been buried under a pile of marking for the past few weeks, and today was the first time I could get any time in the craft room.  I decided to make an interactive card with some movement.

So, where's the movement, I hear you say?

I will be sharing this card at Virginia's View challenge - Focal Point.

Ho ho ho!

Saw a tag in blogland today with a speech bubble at the top, and I immediately knew what I wanted to make.

And the little PTI santa is on an action wobbler - here's what he does:
