Art Cards - Brick Wall
The theme for Artekarten this week is Brick Wall technique. I followed the instructions given and found that this technique is for artists with very precise measurement skills. As plainly seen, my brick wall was not built by an expert mason.
I used a patterned paper to stamp my roses in black ink. I moved the stamp slightly and did it again but in clear ink, which I embossed with black detail embossing powder. After this I measured off 1/2" strips which I cut into bricks.
I am going to take a blogging break for a month or so. This is probably my last challenge till I come back. Summer is a very busy time and I would not be able to do the challenges properly.

Paper Minutes - Round
Here is my card for the Paper Minutes Challenge using a round sketch. The circle and the flowers were made using decorative papers.
Fun with ATCs
Here is my late entry to Fun with ATCs. I have used mostly Dover freebies to make this. I am not back to normal in the blogging area yet. I just traveled a 1700 mile roundtrip by car to my 60th High School reunion. It was fun but tiring.

Take a Word -Peacock
Here is my entry for Take a Word - Peacock. Peacocks are loud birds with a horribly scary cry. While visiting homebound members of my church, I got scared out of my wits by a peacock, perched in the top of a tree I was parked under. I didn't see him till he sounded the alarm that a stranger was in the yard. My hair stood straight up on my neck and I visibly shook. So while the image is beautiful, the voice is definitely NOT.
We have several bunches of peacock feathers in our house. My husband uses them in the fishing flies that he ties.

Fun with ATCs
Here is my ATC for Fun with ATCs challenge. The theme is Hats. The background is various inks to make a faux copper finish. The woman is Mrs. Sallie Rhea, one of my ancestors. Her hat is certainly a lovely one. I just wish I knew what colors it had in it.

So Artful - Butterflies
This card was made for the So Artful challenge this week. I have used an orange butterfly that Merrie sent to me. The patterned paper is from Masayo, who got it in Japan during her last visit there. I hope my colors are close enough for the color part of the challenge: orange, yellow, and turquoise.

Tag it On - Masks, Paint, Text
The challenge from the Tag it On design team this week is to make a tag with masks, paint, and text. I have done that with this entry, although my masking technique needs a lot more practice. I have used lumiere paints. The text, a real rubber stamp, is in distress inks and says: thinking of you. The tag background is some decorative paper I have.
I'm also posting the scan of this tag since it's hard to read the text in the camera photo. Neither of these do justice to the tag, which turned out pretty well.
Edit: I am adding another tag using the same technique.
