Matas Buzelis sounds like he could pass on the Eurobasket
An altered approach by Matas Buzelis on the way to the senior national team of Lithuania and EuroBasket 2025. “I will definitely play for the Lithuanian national team, but I don’t know when,” he answered a question by Lithuanian outlet DELFI during a postgame media session following a winning effort against the Philadelphia 76ers in Wells Fargo Center to wrap up the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season on NBA Sundays. “I’m not sure that I will come this summer. We have problems with the coaches,” he referred to controversial comments by an assistant coach of the senior national team, Tomas Pacesas, stirring the pot for NBA players being among options for selector Rimas Kurtinaitis, “I have to talk to Jonas [Valanciunas], Domantas [Sabonis] and see what they will do.”
Jorge Sierra: Rudy Gobert is now No. 45 all-time in rebounds after passing Bob Lanier and Sam Lacey. Also: Nikola Vucevic passed Latrell Sprewell in scoring for No. 109 in NBA history. Kawhi Leonard moved ahead of Al Horford for No. 164.
Julia Poe: Coby White told me he’s positive Josh Giddey will play on Wednesday. “He’s a tough dude.”
KC Johnson: Nikola Vucevic’s 2024-25: 18.5 ppg (his best as Bull) 10.1 rpg 3.5 apg (his best as Bull) 53% FG (career high) 40.2 3PT% (career high)
Joe Cowley: The full Lonzo Ball answer from Billy is yeah, he’s basically been ruled out for Miami, “unless there’s something that happens significantly between now and Wednesday.” Plan is to get him back on the court Monday, hope to have him for Rd 1 against Cleveland if they go that far.
Julia Poe: Lonzo Ball most likely will not participate in the play-in tournament, per Billy Donovan. He will get back on the court Monday, so could be available for further playoff games if the Bulls advance.
Joe Cowley: Lonzo Ball ruled out Wednesday.
KC Johnson: Bulls list Josh Giddey out vs. 76ers with that troublesome right wrist. Giddey will go one week between games, posting a triple double vs. Heat on April 9 before rematch in Play In on April 16.
KC Johnson: Lonzo Ball and Tre Jones remain out. Donovan said he’d be willing to play Ball in Play In without any regular-season action if Ball progresses but that Ball would have “short leash.” Jones remains in walking boot.
