Ace Bailey cancels Sixers workout

Ace Bailey reportedly has yet to visit with an NBA team ahead of the draft and still does not have a meeting scheduled. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony and Shams Charania reported late Wednesday night that Bailey will not visit the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday: “Bailey, the No. 3 prospect on ESPN’s big board, was slated to fly to Philadelphia, owners of the No. 3 pick in the draft, Friday, for dinner with the team’s front office and a private workout, but elected to cancel on Wednesday, sources told ESPN.”
Per ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, Bailey has not followed the traditional route of scheduling individual workouts with teams and going to teams’ facilities. “NBA teams are a little bit perplexed about his pre-draft process,” Givony said on NBA Today (2:10 mark). “He’s the only player who has yet to conduct a single workout to this point. He has not visited any NBA team facilities. Ace Bailey’s camp is adamant in conversations that he’s a top-three player in this draft, and they’re looking for a clear pathway to stardom both with minutes and opportunities.”

Guerschon Yabusele's return to Philadelphia becoming increasingly difficult?

With a trio of Sixers veterans — Kelly Oubre Jr., Andre Drummond and Eric Gordon — all expected to soon activate the player options in their respective contracts for next season, it looks as though it will be increasingly challenging for Philadelphia to re-sign beloved big man Guerschon Yabusele. The former first-round pick from France, who played last season on a minimum deal, is projected to have a strong market in free agency.
