Howdy folks, today I have a brief update for TNT Games which adds a new updated lobby using our NPC and hologram leaderboard systems. See below for full details.
▶ New TNT Games Lobby
Our builders have been hard at work crafting a new TNT Games lobby complete with parkour, new leaderboards and hidden secrets to uncover. We tried to make a new lobby that improved on the feel and theme of TNT Games without disrupting of compromising the feel of the old lobby.
We think this new lobby makes it easier to get into games and view leaderboards. Let us know what you think in the TNT Games forum.

Congratulations to PrimeDrift for breaking 7,000 TNT Tag wins! (7,032 at time of writing)
We hope you enjoy this small update! We're excited to bring more lobbies up to date with new features and secrets
A new patch has been released for Duels, available to test now in the Prototype Lobby. For information on what changes are included, check out the details below.
This patch contains some request quality-of-life improvements, and fixes several critical bugs. We are also working on new content as we plan out a roadmap for the future of Duels including mode changes, new modes, new formats and more - we will be talking about this more in the future.
See below for a full list of changes, and as always we look forward to hearing your feedback
▶ Lobby Menu Improvements The lobby menu has been improved to be more user friendly. Solo and teams modes have been split, and recently played modes will appear in the 3 allotted slots.
▶ Rematch System
A simple rematch system has been introduced to the end of each duel, now allowing players to easily rematch each other without even having to leave the game they just played. At the end of each duel, the rematch GUI will open for 15 seconds - the game will end if no choice has been made.
Stained clay represent the options you can pick, yes or no. Stained glass panes represent the choice made by each team in the game - green is yes, red is when no option has been picked yet
Every player in the game must vote yes for a rematch to start. Currently, rematches will not affect your winstreak/guild/solo stats to help prevent boosting - this may change in the future. Each game is limited to a maximum of 3 rematches.
▶ Other Changes
Slightly increased max build height
Added current and best win streak to the end game message in teams mode
Name will now always be the same color as your rank in chat
Sword accuracy has been replaced with melee accuracy - tools, weapons and punching will count towards melee accuracy
Reduced Speed 3 to Speed 2

Fixed Moleman kit having the wrong helmet
Fixed layout editor losing enchantments

Today I'm excited to bring you a new update to the Hypixel Server. We have updated several game Lobbies, added a new SkyWars Laboratory game mode (also removed the least popular modes), and brought back Ranked SkyWars. Read on for full details!
► Overview
Ranked SkyWars is back
New SkyWars Labs mode - Slime
Removed SkyWars Labs modes - Blizzard, Floor is Lava and Kill by Color
Updated Game Lobbies with new versions - Main Lobby and SkyWars
► Ranked SkyWars Returns
First up, Ranked SkyWars is back! We are re-opening Ranked SkyWars for a short season that ends at the end of this month. At the start of next month, regular month-long seasons will return.
We've made a lot of changes in the background to increase stability and ensure that games have a fair rating spread across players before starting. In the future, we will be looking at improving the format of Ranked SkyWars to provide a better competitive Minecraft experience.
► SkyWars Laboratory - Slime mode We released the SkyWars Laboratory, and your feedback has been fantastic. This gives us an easy way to add crazy, fun, new modes to SkyWars without disrupting the existing game balance.
Following this new approach, we have removed 3 Labs modes - Blizzard, Floor is Lava and Kill by Color - and have added a brand new Slime mode. We removed these modes to free up server resources and give more room to allow us to add new modes. Rush and TNT Madness are still live currently.
In Slime mode, players can find a large number of knockback-focused items. All players also have a double-jump ability allowing you to jump whilst in the air, helping you recover better. Think Smash Heroes meets Knockback 10 slimeball meets SkyWars - it gets crazy.
► Updated Lobbies
We have also updated several game lobbies across the server. We updated these lobbies because the NPC system for selecting game modes is much more obvious and faster than using signs, and it also makes lobbies fully translatable to all other languages (which comes in very useful on our China server, which just hit 32,000 concurrent players). The Main Lobby is the most drastic redesign, with several new areas to explore - and the return of fun minigames like the Christmas carousel!
With the SkyWars Lobby, we listened to your feedback and took it on board for this small re-design which includes improvements that hopefully bring back some of that old school "jungle feel" to the lobby. Let us know what you think.
The lobbies we have updated include the Main Lobby and SkyWars Lobbies. In the future, we will be updating other game lobbies to fit in with our new system too.
See below for some screenshots of the new lobbies, or check them out now live on the server
We will continue to update these with improvements over time. We hope you enjoy the new lobbies - we tried to strike a balance between keeping what was good about the old ones, whilst adding quality of life improvements that make it easier for all players to play games.
A new patch has been released for Zombies, available to test now in the Prototype Lobby! For information on what changes are included, check out the details below.
This patch aims to improve the replayability of Zombies by adding a new Endless mode, and harder difficulties for veteran players. We've also reduced the difficulty of the original mode (now called Normal Difficulty) to make it easier for newer players - players seeking a harder challenge can simply play the harder difficulties.
▶ Overview
Added Endless Mode, a new mode that doesn't end at round 30. The original mode has been renamed Story Mode.
Added the ability to choose the Difficulty of a game - you can play Normal, Hard or RIP difficulty.
Added three new weapons in the Weapons Chest:
Gold Digger: Weak to start, but can be upgraded many times through the Ultimate Machine. Its final Ultimate level makes this gun a must-have in later rounds and in Endless Mode.
Zombie Zapper: In addition to its normal damage, this gun deals damage to nearby enemies as well. It is a great defense against large packs of enemies.
The Puncher: Similar to the Zombie Zapper, this melee upgrade deals damage to several nearby enemies upon hit.
Leaderboards are now separated into pages based on Difficulty (Note: Leaderboards have been reset, see below for more information.)
Buffed Rifle and Elder Gun damage
Changed Zombie Soaker particle effect
Fixed many map exploits
Lots of bug fixes
▶ Endless Mode The current version of the game was very well received, but we realized many of you are too good at the game and need more than 30 rounds to quench your thirst for zombie blood. As a result, we've added Endless Mode! You can now enjoy killing zombies forever. After Round 30, enemies will become more difficult each round until your inevitable demise. The original mode, which will still end after completing Round 30, is now known as Story Mode. Endless Mode is recommended for players who have beat Story Mode, but all are welcome to give it a try. Let us know how far you make it!
For PTL Lobby testing reasons and to avoid issues with potential exploits, Endless Mode currently ends at Level 100. If we see people consistently reaching this level without using exploits or cheating, we will raise the level cap.
▶ Difficulty
For the most part, we feel the original version of the game was as balanced as we could make it. However we realized we couldn't please everyone with just that one difficulty - some thought it was too easy while some thought it was too hard. To make the game support as many skill levels as possible, we have separated the game into three difficulties - Normal, Hard, and RIP.
The Normal difficulty has been made easier so that newer and more casual players can enjoy the base game and improve their skills. Even still, Normal difficulty remains a challenge for all players. All difficulties are available in both Story and Endless Modes.
Normal: This is the base difficulty. It is recommended that newer and more casual players play this mode until they are able to beat it.
Hard: This difficulty is meant to challenge experienced players. If you've beaten the game before and want a new challenge, then this mode is for you! Enemies are much stronger and faster.
RIP: Do you like to watch the world burn? Enemies are extremely strong and difficult to beat. Good luck getting far in this mode - you're going to need it.
If you find Normal difficulty to be too easy now, we recommend giving either Hard or RIP difficulty a try. Let us know how you do!
Developer Comments: Pregame leaderboards have been reset due to the changes in this update. With all new modes and many balancing changes, it was necessary to restructure the leaderboards so that they reflect the current state of the game. We apologize to those of you who sat atop the leaderboard, but this is the nature of all Prototype Lobby games. We encourage you to reclaim your spot in the new update!
▶ Future of Zombies (v0.3 and Beyond)
In the future we are looking to add many new features and a new map, which will come with 30+ new rounds and all new zombie types! We are also exploring how we can integrate specialized survivor characters/classes into the game, where you would be able to upgrade your abilities the more you play. Stay tuned for more information on future Zombies updates.
As always, report any issues in the bugs forum. Have fun!

▶ SkyWars Laboratory
Say hello to the SkyWars Laboratory! The Laboratory or Lab is a collection of highly experimental super fun new modes all based on the original SkyWars, but with crazy new mechanics.
The Lab was inspired by discussion about the Insane mode modifiers. After listening to your feedback, we realised that the modifiers in Insane SkyWars weren't very interesting, and for various reasons were not selected that often. We have now removed the modifiers from Insane entirely, and instead aim to create new and interesting 'modified' modes which we will add to Labs over time. If you have any cool ideas for modes, share them with us!
You can play these experimental modes right now in the SkyWars lobby by clicking the Laboratory NPC. Please note that to avoid game starting issues these modes do not have map selector, and modes may be removed (and new modes added) at any time.
The first version of Labs is shipping with 5 modes:
Blizzard A huge snow storm has drifted through the map! Collect and throw snowballs at other players to damage them or knock them off the map. And if you stay on your spawn island for too long, destructive snowballs will destroy your island! TNT Madness You asked us to fix TNT jumping, so we went one step further. In this mode there is no explosion damage and we've added different types of custom TNT you can use to launch yourself (and others) around the map. Destroyed blocks will drop even more TNT.
Rush A very fast-paced game. Spawn island chests contain Enderpearls which can be used to travel quickly, but when thrown you will physically ride the pearl and can be damaged. Very quick, very fun. Floor is Lava Any blocks stepped on will start to break slowly and turn into lava. As the game progresses, blocks break even faster, meaning you have to constantly move to stay alive. Iron blocks (and other tough blocks) break slower, so loot quickly and use these to your advantage.
Kill by Color
All players have different colored armor, and start with different colored dyes in their hotbar. You can only damage an armor color by hitting that player with the dye of the same color e.g Red Dye can damage Red Armor. Pick up more armor to survive longer, and swap your dyes quickly to deal the most damage!
▶ New Lobby
We've updated the SkyWars lobby with some improvements. We've switched from Play Signs to NPCs (like the Prototype Lobby) and have updated the leaderboard system to the new system. Other small improvements include moving the portal back so you don't hear the noise as much and flattening the area to give more space to use certain cosmetics.
Overall we feel this is a strong improvement and we look forward to hearing what you think.
▶ New Maps
▶ Kits and Perks
We've added new Kits and Perks to Solo, Mega and Ranked. Please note that the Ranked kits will not be available until the end of the season as to not upset balance mid-season.
