This game reminds me a lot of Dangerous Dave, especially how you always get one-shotted, lol! Nicely done!
PS: additional ammo after returning an item would be nice
I love the art but i am always being mauled by the doggies at the first relic, anyway, it's a pretty cool entry!
really like the vibe here, but boy i suck! i also love that if i just shoot my guitar playing friend the game just aborts
"Rawr means "I love you" in radioactive dog. "- my friend who I played this with while in voice chat
Fun game, enjoyed the atmosphere and the usage of the jam's theme. It was difficult to not be killed at first, so it took me a couple of tries, but its doable for sure. I actually accidentally shot the guy as soon as I loaded in, so I got (what I assume is) the "good ending" immediatelly.
Rawr :)
I had to give the jump a couple of tries to realize I had to do it standing still, haha. When I got the third relic, I think giving you an extra bullet and a heads-up was a nice touch. Also, the fact that you can beat the game right when you start it is pretty funny too!
Haha, that guy with the guitar just made my day :D I’m not very good at shooters, but I still had fun playing. Really great work!
This game was awesome. I played it over and over again. I am a real fan of one hit kills, and limited ammo made it so much more challenging. It really make you try again and again until you master it.
Aside from some the minor "jankiness" with the platforming, this overall was an enjoyable experience. I really like the contrasting atmosphere between the safe zone and the facility. I think it further adds to the misdirection being expressed by this story. But I'm still curious tho as to what exactly happened in either ending or why there are dogs protecting these seemingly random assortment items in the first place. Maybe a brief epilogue for both endings could help with this, idk.
I didn't want to explain to much. It wouldn't be cosmic horror then. The player can come up with his own interpretation of what is really happening. Thank you for playing.
I enjoyed this one a lot, particularly the guitar music and the pivot in the story where the dogs plead with you. Good job!
Awesome work! Really nostalgic vibe with the controls and the shadows. Wasn't expecting the ending, now I feel bad about my actions in the first half of the game haha.
This really reminded me of a flash game, really enjoyed it!
SPOILERS:
I didn't expect the guy is evil, I shot him as my first instinct the first second I launched the game and was confused with "the end" screen, then when actually playing, the dog telling me that guy is evil makes a lot of sense why it shown me that screen
Shooting him the first time you see him is the speedrunning route.
I love the 3d effect inside the building, it's such a smart way to show depth! I will try to do something like that in my next games. The dogs brutally maimed me every time, perhaps a few more bullets or a knife could improve the game flow. Nice game overall.
I like the concept you went with!
Might want to check the audio levels since the sfx can get s bit loud where if I lower my volume to adjust, I lose the music. I also agree with Gluedog that you might want to check balancing a bit.
But fun game overall, so congrats on finishing for the jam!
I liked the mechanics of the game, the guitar music and the graphics. But it might be a bit difficult because you don't have many bullets and the dogs one shot you. Anyways, good game! Keep up the good work.
