I really liked the game. It's such a good mix of 2D and 3D. I was really intrigued by the story and managed to get a game over screen after collecting 5 of the paper pieces. I wanted to try a different way to see what happened, but I managed to softlock myself and was unable to continue.

The puzzles and atmosphere are good. I found it a bit difficult to use the flashlight when facing straight down. I was expecting to get spooked throughout the dark sections, which is good.

The wall climbing glitch was also very funny. I spent a decent amount of time mucking about with it to go out of bounds. I even did sequence breaking at one point. However, it did also cause me to get softlocked.

This one felt like a full game. Great work.

What can be said that hasn't already been said? Nah, I won't cop out with a comment like that. The game is very pretty, and I like the vibe of it a lot. Enough has already been said about the library sections, but I, too, found it to be very tedious. However, you guys have a good enough art direction to the point where you could really revamp things and have a completely playable game. Great job to everyone who worked on this game, and great game!

I've got blocked under the stairs at the secound floor 😅 (black screen, maybe the character was stuck under the map), the game is creepy in the dark, but the camera ruins the immersion as it goes everywhere in close spaces. Really difficult to pass little doors (especially with the old man). Nice sound design and character design. Feels like with a little more polish, it could be a great game.

I really like the artistic direction and the fact that you guys actually did some voice acting for it. It's entertaining, but the whole collision and navigation was a bit too annoying for me, so I was not able to finish the game. Great game, nevertheless, it has a lot of potential! <3

The search sequence in the dark library is as unpleasant as the art direction is beautiful. And the art direction is truly beautiful x)

That's really the only issue with the game; the camera and flashlight are a little too clunky. Everything else is great. The character interactions and dialogues were cool, the voice acting is great, and the atmosphere works really well.

I want to see more, and would love to play a more complete and slightly more polished version.

The character designs are sooo cute!! And still, it doesn't take away from the fact that the game still feels mysterious and scary.

Like all the other commenters, I also struggled with the camera and the collisions. And I think it's silly that you are looking for your missing sister but your character sprite is smiling. Couldn't get too far into the game.

I do love the visuals. There aren't many 2.5D horror games. And the character art was absolutely charming.

the sprites and animations were very very cute! i liked the mood + lighting set up for but with the flashlight system being a bit rough + the fixed camera angle, exploring ended up being a little frustrating.  still, i appreciated that the puzzles were telegraphed and that it was mostly obvious where to go!

I Really Liked The Art And Music And Voice Acting. Unfortunately There Was Janky Behavior With The Camera And Bugs With The Movement That Were Difficult To Work Through. This Game Has A Solid Foundation And With A Bit Of Polish Could Be Fantastic.

While I love the atmosphere & concept and want to play more, the lighting and camera make it nearly impossible to see when navigating certain areas

Walked into a hallway on the second floor after grabbing the third piece and I must have clipped into a wall because I am unable to leave nor see my surroundings.

This truly is horrifying.

I think the visual design is a complete win for you. I love the 2.5D style, and everything is perfectly designed in this game: the 3D assets, the 2D sprites (my respect to the artist), and the crt filter. You have a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, there are a few bugs: the camera's behavior and some collision issues. I really hope that some of the bugs will be fixed after the jam. You're doing a great job, and thank you for your game!

Liked the game but it feels kinda incomplete? I mean, I spent a lot of time looking how to use the last book but no dice; also what's the point of being able to jump? (that I didn't know was possible until read some comments) I thought the jumping bug (that let's you climb walls) was intented to find something off map but, if there's something, I had no luck. However, the art it's top tier, the story was good but also felt incomplete. I'm pretty sure there's suppose to be a good ending but after all I did feels like it is unaccesible. Overall a nice game, good job!

We only have one ending in this game in form of a cutscene. We will see how far we can take the game post jam.

Well done Team!! the art style is beautiful!! The camera is a bit upsetting, the zoom in is too close and when we change the direction is pretty difficult to know exactly where we are (upstairs)! It's a very nice and strong entry. Bravo

Amazing art style, probably the best in the jam. Great voice acting too!

The art style is very unique, and the atmosphere is genuinely scary. Especially from the second floor onward. Making it a 2.5D game is also a really interesting choice!

However, one thing that could be improved is the camera. It sometimes zooms in too close, making it hard to see other things around.

I also noticed some slight lag during gameplay, but that’s understandable since it’s running on a web browser.

Dang! This is pretty impressive. I like a good haunted library (underused setting if you ask me), and the combination of 2d and 3d graphics is great. It has a lot of character, I love how all the people are drawn. The limited voice acting really adds to that as well.

Like the previous reviewers, I had some trouble navigating, because of the sharp turns and the limited visibility. That could be something worth taking a second look at. Apart from that, excellent work!

The game perspective and visuals are great, I love that!

The game has some cool vibe, that you combine sweet looking art with some dark atmosphere, that is tasty mix! Walking and pace is well working with building this kind of horror like game.

It's nice add-on to have small voice acting in my mother language (Polish)! Cool!

What was problematic for me is camera control and problem with switch side with flashlight, it's pretty hard to find books in dark environment when I can't rotate gently.

Great job and congratulations on your submission!

Very nice game aesthetically, but no so nice gameplay-wise... I did play it in web, though, which hindered the performance quite a bit, but even then - the camera movement and the flashlight's small field of view made it really hard to navigate around, especially on the upper level of the library where my screen was pitch black most of the time from how the camera behaves
Also, game doesn't account for the player progression as far as I can tell, because moving from room to room would reset the items and NPCs in it... or at least I think it does. In any case, I missed the dialogue of the kid about a second book (?) and could not figure out what to do next. A little more polish/fixes though and it could be good!

Got stuck a few different times on parts of the level and character colliders and had to restart, but overall I love the aesthetic! Would make for a very unique looking game if ironed out a bit more.
