We Three Kings - DT card MIM #117

Oooh!!! another week closer to Christmas and I'll have to start thinking about ordering food and finding presents to buy. We have an engagement, a wedding, several singing engagements, craft breakups, babysitting etc, etc....... It's a busy time, but for now I just want to let you know that there's a new Linky Party starting up over at Make It Monday and we would love to see you there.
Congratulations to Mandy for being our featured artist from last week and also to Carole for being the winning commenter.
We are being sponsored this week by the fab Dr. Digi's House of Stamps. I have used this wonderful image of three men out carol singing (as a singer, I'm always drawn to characters with their mouths open wide sharing the talent that God gave them - you don't always need to have a great voice, just the joy of wanting to sing!!!!)  and what better time to use your voice than at Christmas time, enjoying the carols with family and friends.
So here is my card......

Tissue Box - DT Project for Tuesday Alchemy

Hi and welcome to my blog.
I've started over at Tuesday Alchemy as a DT for Nov-Dec and today is my first post for them as they have two teams. I will also be sharing again next Tuesday for them.
Today's challenge is for Anything but a card and I have made a tissue box and I've added some cute little robot digis from Birdie Brown. I think these go so well with the embossed cogs on the side panels.
The challenge is being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish and also Birdie Brown and with Christmas coming up soon I'm sure lots of you are starting to make some homemade papercraft goodies that you could enter in the challenge.

Here are 2 pics of my decorated tissue box....... I've kept it pretty simple just the embossing and the images as I want it as a gift for a boy! I used 2 images and repeated them twice around the 4 sides.

We are very excited to have again our fun sponsors Bugaboo Stamps!  Everyone loves these fun and sweet digis!

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!

If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps   atTotally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT   for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug

Bugaboo Stamps are offering a very generous prize of winner's choice of 7 single digis!

I've again chosen  two POTW this time around (both Christmas related). You are all making it so hard to pick just one. There are many more that I would love to feature too - so please take the time to check out some of the other entries during the week.
My first  POTW  is this lovely Christmas card by Sandie and you can pop over to her blog and see what she used to make it

My second POTW is made by Cheryl at She Stamps - Doesn't this make a festive look to her bottle of wine.
2012-11-06 bottle tag close WM
Time for the next round of fantastic entries. I'm looking forward to visiting some of you and seeing your wonderful works of art. The festive season is now kicking in with more and more things in the shop everyday and with our Chrismas Pageant having been on Saturday, Christmas Fever will have started in earnest.
I'm sure there will be more and more Christmas related entries coming up, so check them out and get inspired.

Sandy

Baby Dresser Card - MIM #112

Linky Party Time again over at Make It Monday and it's no #112. Hope you are going to join us this time around. I enjoyed last week's entries, lots and lots of wonderful creations to drool over too!!!
Congrats to this week's featured artist  Pinky  and also to  Pia  for the winning comment.
This could be you, so get those entries in and check out the other blogs and leave a comment. The more blogs you visit, the more chances you have at being the winning commenter.
My card for the DT this week was made using  a YouTube tutorial to make this cute baby dresser side step card and you can see it here.
I've used a pre-coloured image from Cupcake Cards & Crafts to decorate my card.

Front of card

Inside of card - It's a bit of an odd space because of the two folds and the cut through the top section, but it gives you somewhere to write other than on the back of the card.
I followed the tutorial for folding and it does not give a crisp crease in the card. I think next time I would measure it and then score it properly to avoid the uneven look it created. In real life it looks okay but here in the scan I think it looks worse.....

Recipe:
SU Pink Pirouette cardstock to make the side step card.
SU Pink Passion inkpad for all the distressed edges
DP was a scrap from my bits and pieces pile!!! - I'm not sure, but it could have been from SU
Nestalbilities die - Labels Four - I cut the diecut and then it wouldn't quite fit where I wanted it, so.... it got the chop on each side and I followed that through on the inside diecut as well
The image is from Cupcake Cards & Crafts and is called - Little Bears ~ a set of 6 pre-coloured images
The little feet are stickers from my stash (at least 5 years old!)- I stuck them onto some scrap card and fussy cut around each one and then mounted up with foam dots.
Decorative Border punch - not sure where I got this one, it says APEX on the side
Decorative label punch - used half only to form the bottom of the dresser.
Brads from stash
Sentiment is from Paper Salon

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Little Claire's Designs - Monthly Challenge #26 ~ New Arrivals
One Stop Craft Challenge - Challenge 201 ~ Anything Goes
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes
Card Mania Challenges - CMC#6 ~ Oh, Baby.....

Our sponsor this week is Cupcake Cards & Crafts, so pop over and check out their store and see all the fab digital papers and the cute pre-coloured images too!

where you will find fresh and contemporary digital downloadable and printable papers for cardmaking, scrapbooking and papercrafting.
There are some totally gorgeous new paper packs available right now and with this week's prize of a paper pack of the winners choice up for grabs you could be lucky enough to get your hands on a pack just by leaving a comment for another entry in this week's linky party. Be sure to mention you saw them on MIM. The more entries you comment the more chances you have of winning.

Happy Howl-oween over at Gingerloft Challenges

Hi everyone, a second post for today!!! Not like me, but Gingerloft's new challenge is starting and the theme this fortnight is Halloween or Fall. Hope you will join us in the challenge this time around and don't forget to stop by the Design Team blogs and maybe leave them a comment.
I'm an Aussie and we are not into Halloween in a big way, and personally my family don't celebrate it but I did really like this fab wolf image available from Gingerloft digi stamps and will probably turn it into a normal birthday card later on by switching the sentiment. It would make a great card for a male and was so easy to colour up.
I hope you like it and it encourages you to join in with the challenge.

Here is what I did...... I added a piece of white paper behind the card to scan as it kept cutting the scalloped edge off the top for some reason.

Front of card - top fold with the image sitting partially over the fold.

Inside of card
Recipe:
Black cardstock for the basecard from stash
Orange cardstock from stash
DP is from Kaisercraft - 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 paper pad called 13th hour

60's Retro - Rainey ~ Make It Monday #109

Another week has passed and we have another Linky Party starting over at Make It Monday!!!We had such a wonderful selection of cards last week that it just gets harder to pick one to feature here on my blog (check below to see if it's yours!!!)
Congratulations to Wedgie as MIM's featured blogger  and also to Tracey Brossart for being chosen as the winning commenter.
Our sponsor this week is Digi My World and I chose this fab retro image to play with. Isn't she cute? You can find it here.  I had a lot of my Copics go dry last week and took them to be refilled. Well... not happy, usually I find that they don't put enough ink in them but a different girl did them this time and there is ink going everywhere, I ruined 6 images on Thursday as the ink either leaked before I even touched the brush to the card or if I managed to get it to paper, it just spread out at the lightest touch. Almost makes me think that they have been watered down, I can't understand why the ink would be just pouring out like that,
LOL, it took me 3 goes with this image and one I got 3/4 done and then one of the markers leaked all over
it  - very frustrating
Here is the card I made with this fab image:  This is a pop up card - larger than I would normally make but I can see myself making it again after doing some adjustments to the measurements. It all lays flat to put in an envelope

Front of card

Back of Card  -(edited) I took a picture with the camera, still not quite right though still a bit bright (and crooked, LOL) but you get the gist of it!!!

Hi, this is my first post as a DT for Gingerloft Challenge Blog.
Thanks to the owner Tami for asking me to join her team.
For this challenge, Tami is asking  you to create a card using Real or Faux Stitching

Here is the card I have created using this fab little bird image which is available over at  Gingerloft Digi Stamps. The sentiment is also one of Gingerloft's Designs.

Recipe:

DP's are both from Kaisercraft 61/2 " paper pad called "Fine & Sunny"
