Hi everyone, I've been missing in action for a little while still dealing with my Mum's passing and all that is associated with that. Problems with the will legality so can't do anything about the house/estate until it is all settled.
Anyway.... hope you are all coping with what is going on in the world and are healthy and safe. Life is not going to be the same for quite a while.
On a happier note, it's time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create Challenge Blog and I'm glad to be back and creating again. The theme is optional with an optional twist of Diamonds and Lace.
I've created a card that could be used for an engagement or a wedding card and have used the dress as my lace. Tried to add real lace and couldn't find any in my stash that was suitable.
Here is my card.... Used a black basecard
Recipe:
SU Black cardstock, White cardstock from stash

Couple die from stash (don't remember brand)
Sentiments from SU stamp set Wonderful Moments

To Have and To Hold
It's a public holiday today so we've had a long weekend to play with! We've been babysitting two of our grandies and as our son is working away from home and our DIL was interstate we decided to head off for an overnight stay with our son and then leave the two grandies there today. DIL and our eldest granddaughter were arriving there today as it's school holidays. It was a pleasant little trip and got to walk down the jetty and along the foreshore on a wonderful Spring Day.
Well it's now quite late and I've realised that I haven't done my post for the new challenge at Get Creative Challenge. Our theme is - Wedding and the sponsors are the wonderful ~ All Dressed Up, Bugaboo Stamps and The Fantasy Art of Nikki Burnette
Here is what I made using an image from All Dressed Up.
Recipe:

Challenge 93 at Crafting From The Heart
Hi all, a quick post to share my DT card for the new challenge starting today at Crafting From The Heart.
Our sponsor for this challenge is Aurora Wings and my fellow teamies have created some wonderful makes to inspire you and showcase Aurora Wings designs.
Here is what I came up with........ I took 3 different pics to show the different aspects of the card. The first one didn't turn out that well but the image shows nicely. I diecut the frame and after adhering hand cut the inner oval out of the front of the card going through all 3 layers and then put the image on the inside with foam dots
Recipe:
White cardstock from stash
DP from Santoro London 6x6 paper pad
Grey shimmery paper for the diecut and matte
Image is from Aurora Wings - Wedding Couple
Sentiments are from SU - Simply Wonderful and Heard From the Heart stamp sets
Spellbinders dies - Floral Ovals and Labels Twenty
Copic Markers
Wink of Stella - clear ~ used on the "Congrats" sentiment
Memento Tuxedo Black inkpad
D/S tape roller & foam dots
Hope to see you hopping over to the challenge blog and entering the challenge.

Challenge #56 featuring Kenny K and Flatfriendsboutique images
Hi everyone, it's a special day here today so to any Aussies reading my blog, Happy Australia Day. Enjoy the public holiday tomorrow. We also have the tour down under bike race here in Adelaide, the last day is today and they have blocked many of the roads off in the city. It made it a bit more difficult to get to church today as the road the church is on is part of the bike circuit so we had to do some thinking and travel a few side streets and on the way home we had to go a very long way around to get back home. The minister had to contend with someone outside talking on a sound system and also some music blaring away. I've missed a few weeks, so it was good to be back listening to the sermon and singing the songs.
Well, I had better get on and share my creations for 613 Avenue Create this week. We have three sponsors this week and I was lucky to be able to use an image from two of them, Kenny K and Flatfriendsboutique.
It's anything goes with an optional theme at 613 Avenue Create and the theme is - GIFT SET ~ there are lots of combos you could make.

The next project is another box and card and the image is from Flatfriendsboutique
and is called The Happy Couple

Wedding card for Anthony and Amanda
Hi everyone, it's very warm here today and the next few days are going to be even hotter. We have a wedding to go to today so hopefully it won't be too bad. It's an outdoor wedding , maybe there will be some shady trees to shelter under!!! It's about a 3/4 hour drive away so will have the air con on in the car.
I ended up with two cards as I had a DT project coming up in a fortnight but have decided to go with this one instead, so that means I can share it with you today.
I've used shiny textured gold card so it appears a bit black in spots in the photo as I took it outside on the little garden wall..
Here it is......
Recipe:
SU Real Red cardstock for the cardbase and inside diecut
White card from stash
Gold textured card from stash
Image is from A Day for Daisies and is called I Do
Sentiments are both from SU sets - One in a Million and Marry Me
Nestie Die - Captivating Squares
Punches - large oval and scalloped oval
Copic Markers
D/S tape roller
Well gotta rush off and shower and get my hair dry before I put on my finery.
Catch you later tomorrow for my 613 Avenue Create DT Post.

A Pop Up Giftcard Holder Card for Dana's Wedding
Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend, it's late Saturday night here and we've not been long home from my husband's niece's wedding. It's been a long day, We had to be ready to leave here about 10:20 a.m. but we were running a bit late. One of our sons and his wife came here to come with us and we had to pick up another daughter. I realised I had left the card (which also included a gift of money) at home and we had to come back to get it. We were heading up into the hills to their wedding ceremony on private property in a forest. There was an accident in the Adelaide Hills and traffic had to be diverted so there were delays and detours which meant a lot of quick thinking and map revision to work out how we were going to get there. We only had an hour to get there from when we left home and didn't think we were going to make it but we arrived with only a couple of minutes to spare only to find out the bride had planned to be 30 minutes late anyway. They had problems with one of the wedding cars not working and were an hour late!!! It was freezing in the forest and not easy to walk quite a long way in to where the ceremony was held. I had heels on and a lovely dress which I covered up in the end with a red coat (but froze anyway) It was supposed to be a 12:00PM service and we hadn't eaten. Ended up eating about 2:45PM and then had to fill in time until the reception at 5:30PM. The grand final game of football was on and a couple of us didn't want to walk around anymore so stayed in the pub we had lunch at until reception time. The reception was also outside so more time being really cold and sinking into the soggy grass, my shoes have mud all the way up to the sole! So twelve hours later we are home and I'm now warm sitting here in my PJ's typing away. It was a nice wedding and the bride looked lovely in a vintage style lace gown and veil. She had made pretty bunting using vintage doilies and had jars of flowers and served soft drinks in glass jars of all different sizes and shapes.
Well, I am thinking of heading off to bed now so will share a couple pics of the card I made them. This is the first time I've tried making a Pop Up Gift Card and enjoyed making it. I tried to make it a bit vintage style for her with the papers and doiley diecut. I have a stamp of a victorian bride, but couldn't find it when I started making this card last night so went with this image which is a bit more modern. Probably just as well because I bought the other one second hand and had quite a bit of trouble getting it to print properly, if I remember right, I pulled it off the wood in the end and mounted it onto some stamping foam to use on a clear block.
Okay, here is the card.........she loves blue and the wedding was themed with this colour so used lots of blues on her card.
front of card...
inside of card showing the pop up mechanism
Close up of the sentiment on the inside...
Recipe:
SU Bashful Blue cardstock for basecard and diecuts
White cardstock from stash
DP are both from SU
Image - wooden stamp - just called Romance (no brand name on stamp)
Sentiment on outside and inside word window - Inkadinkado - Wedding Bliss
Sentiment on inside circle is from SU - Marry Me set
Dies - a lace doily (might be a Cheery Lyn Die)
- Nestie Dies - Romantic Rectangles, Classic Circles ~ small and Captivating Squares
Punches - Word Window, Decorative Label, Circle and Scalloped Circle
Copic Markers
Pearls from stash
I made the little envelope and popped the money into it, you can see it peeking out. We decided on cash as it means they can go to any shop to buy something or they can use it for spending money on their honeymoon.
I am entering the following challenges:
A Creative Need - Challenge #11 ~ Weddings/Anniversaries
Sister Act Card Challenge - Challenge #26 ~ Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz Challenges - Challenge #38 ~ Inside!
4 Krafty Girlz Challenges - Challenge 2 ~ Anything Goes
Off to bed now to warm up some more, LOL. have fed the dogs, our two and our daughter's two, let them out for a drink and have put them to bed in the laundry. Hubby has to work tomorrow, so he is already fast asleep.
Thanks for stopping by, hope I haven't bored you!!!

Laurie & Emma's Wedding Card..... finally
Well, with all the things that had to be done prior to our youngest son's wedding, I just never managed to get the card put together. I had the image coloured and the scooter embellie but still hadn't had time to do it. Now it's been done for about a week and Laurie is interstate doing some training and Emma has gone to stay with him as well. She leaves for Vietnam on Sunday so I will be able to give it to them on the weekend. I think they are due home tomorrow night.
So I can share it with you here... I have now put a diecut inside with a message but have not shown that here in the scan.
By the way..... Laurie and Emma's engagement invite (which in reality was their surprise wedding) featured a scooter and his gift to her was a Vespa scooter which he had bought second hand and worked on. It looked brand new and she was delighted with it.
Here it is.....
Recipe:
Black cardstock from stash
DP is from Rosie's Studio - Rosie's wedding A5 Designer Paper
Image is from Mo Manning - love this one!!!
Cherish sentiment is from SU
For the Newlyweds (blast I put the stamp set away and I can't remember whose it was might also be SU)
Scooter is from a set of 3D embellies I've had in my stash for several years, no label
Pearls from stash

Time for a Kiss - MIM#128
Welcome to a new week and the start of a new Linky Party at Make It Monday. Wonderful entries last week and we are hoping to see lots more this time around. Congrats to Loz as our featured artist and also to Jenny as our winning commenter.
As our regulars would have noted our talented Lisa has had to cut down on her DT load and has left our wonderful team so we will be having a DT call so if you are interested we would love to hear from you!!!
If you would like to be considered for a position on the team please put DT beside your name when you link you project this week.
This week we are being sponsored by Bugaboo, who make such wonderful images for all occasions. I was lucky enough to be able to work with these cute bears
Our youngest son is getting married in June so thought this might be appropriate.
Here is what I came up with......
Front of card- oops just realised that one of the "S" letters is upside down. AAAGGH!!!
I've now ripped it off, wrecked the paper and having to do the whole front of the card again.
I've deleted the old photo and here is the new one with the S around the right way. Much better, LOL
Inside of card
Recipe:
SU Poppy Parade for the card base and circles
White card from stash
DP is from Heidi Grace Designes
Nestie Dies - Classic Circles, large and small
Chipboard word Kiss - this was a yucky dirty looking fawn colour so I coloured it with one of my red Copic markers

Bride and Groom Silhouette
Brrr!!! it's cold and wet still. The family room is nice and warm but the computer is here in the lounge, which could be part of the "Arctic Circle" LOL!!! So will try and keep this brief.
Went to my usual craft group this afternoon, only 3 of us. I stamped a little elephant and coloured so I could make our grandson a card before Sunday.
We had tea out with a couple of friends, Doug and Joyce and also two of our sons and one DIL.
It was our 37th Wedding Anniversary today, so I decided to stay home from choir practise and not rush off from the hotel which I usually have to do. Adrian, had to go up to our daughter's place as she rang and said the water was not going down the drain in the shower so was flooding the room. As he is the landlord, it's up to him to fix it so he went straight there after our meal. It was a blocked drain and he managed to clear it so everything is back to normal. That's great, as there are 4 of them living in the house and all wanting to have showers and get ready for work, it would have been very frustrating!!!
My card for today was made using a sketch and here is what I used.
The basecard is black card from stash. I then layered a piece of white card onto it and also two different pieces of black and white DP. I added a black ribbon with white dots over the bottom of the DP and made a bow and adhered to the middle of the ribbon. The sentiment is from a clear set of stamps by Hero Arts called "Anytime Messages". I stamped the image (which is from Creative Expressions) onto white card and cut it out with a circle nestie die. I also cut a scalloped circle in the black card and stuck them together before mounting onto the card. The inside of the card has a piece of white card and the same sentiment I used yesterday - again from the Creative Expression set called "Bride & Groom"
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Wedding Couple
Hi again, the cold weather has set in for a couple of days. We had bucketing rain this afternoon and into the evening, so the wood fire was again lit. Tomorrows forecast is pretty grim too, so will be rugged up and scurrying from place to place, LOL.
I have a new follower, so welcome to Susan, great to "see" you here and I hope you enjoy visiting from time to time.
I had craft this morning, it was a shortened session due to them having a luncheon to support cancer research. It is usually a morning tea and a donation, but this time they changed it and also had a chocolate making demo as well. I packed up and left at the end of the session because I wanted to go to Mum's and dye her hair. I wasn't all that interested in the chocolate making and I didn't feel like organizing a plate of food to take for the luncheon, so was quite happy not to stay.
Not sure how Mum's hair turned out as it was still wet when I left, so hopefully it wasn't too dark for her.
When I got home, the postie had been and yeah!!! left a packet with a couple of new nestie dies that I bought through e-bay. I spent about an hour playing around with them and have used one on my card tonight.
Onto sharing my card,
I used SU Chocolate Chip for the cardbase and folded it tent style. I then used a piece of SU Olive Green and distressed the edges with Early Espresso ink. I also did the edges of the cardbase. I then cut 3 pieces of a coffee coloured card and punched the edges with a MS punch and then ink distressed these as well and then layered on top of the olive green. I cut a piece of DP from a ministack called "Songbird Collection" by Prima and distressed that as well and adhered that onto the card as well. I then cut a nestie shape in the coffee colour and distressed and added a Chocolate Chip Floral Oval diecut (this is the new one). I traced around a deckled edged oval die (the ones in the pack weren't quite the right size) and then cut it out and stamped the bride and groom image, not sure who made this as it was a single clear stamp bought on e-bay. You guessed it, yep, I distressed the edges of that too!!! I then made some rolled roses using scraps of the DP and punched a few leaves in the Old Olive. To finish off, I coloured some white pearls with a brown marker and added to the top right hand side of the card. I then decorated the inside of the card with more distressed card, a piece of Old Olive and then a piece of the coffee coloured card which I punched one edge. The sentiment is from a set of stamps by Creative Expressions called "Bride & Groom".
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Bridal Kiss
Wow, it was warm today, and we are looking at a very hot Christmas Day on Sunday! I had to do a bit of running around today looking for those DVD's for my DIL, I finally found them but couldn't get the boxed set and bought two DVD's from 1 shop and then 2 from another, Worked out more expensive too, oh well, I didn't want to end up having to give her money instead.
A warm welcome to new follower, Helen, nice to meet you! Hope you find something here that interests you.
Another late night so quickly onto today's card,
The basecard is SU Basic Black and then a matte of white card with a layer of DP from Rosie's Studio Soiree pack. The image is another e-bay find and I have no idea who made it. I stamped it directly onto a Nellie Snellen die cut in white with SU Basic Grey and coloured it with Copic Markers. I then added 3 little pearl hearts that I've had in stash for quite a while.
I am entering this into Make It Monday #68 - Anything Goes
I'm off to bed in a few minutes, hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
Thanks for stopping by.
Take Care,
Sandy

The Dance
Hi everyone, my Mum's birthday today so "Happy Birthday Mum" Pity you had to go to the doctors on your birthday but good to finally get a bit more help about your medication.
I had a reasonably busy day, my DIL brought my youngest granddaughter over for me to look after. We hopped in the car and went to three different shops looking for a couple of pudding bowls as mine are all being used and my oldest daughter was coming over to make puddings for gifts. I had no luck, just wasted time and petrol running around. So, we ended up taking 3 of my puddings out of the bowls and wrapping them up so we could reuse the bowls. I got 3 loads of washing done and then left my granddaughter home with Katie and went and picked Mum up and took her to the specialist. We also went to the chemist where the staff were busy standing around trying to tie a flat bow. A real hoot. I showed them how I tie it and two of them just couldn't get a decent bow. One, actually bent down to tie it as if she was tying her shoe laces. So funny!! Took Mum home and then back home to help finish off the puddings. Katie had washed the dishes, brought the clothes in and also folded them so now only left with the saucepans the puds were in.
So after those ramblings, LOL, onto my card,
I've used SU Concord Crush as the basecard and also for the Reverse Wonky Rectangle Nestie diecut. White card for the other Nestie diecut which I stamped the image from Flonz stamps onto in SU Basic Black. I sponged with Tim Holtz distressed ink - Blue Jeans and coloured the image with Copic Markers. The little champagne glasses are from the same set. I realized afterwards that they actually have rings on them so thought that this card could be used for an anniversary or non-traditional wedding card as I've given her a blue dress.
The DP is from Cre8tiv Mini Stack and I've added lots of bling to accentuate the paper. Oh, I've just checked out the scan and it really doesn't show the bling but I used 15 all over the background - you'll have to take my word for it, looks very sparkly!
I am entering this into Make It Monday - challenge #67 - Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping by and I've enjoyed the recent comments you have left. I wondered how long it would take for someone to notice my new profile picture. I have had my hair cut a little bit since then so not quite so long. The pic was taken at Shirley's house where we have Tuesday craft and I'm wearing my favourite colour!! Thought it was time to have a change.
Catch you tomorrow,
Take Care,
Sandy

Wedding Silhouette
Rain today, but welcome after a few hot days. I had coffee with my friends Fran and Shirley. A quick trip to a craft shop with a stop at a small cafe for lunch. I came back home and had about an hours sleep as I had a headache, still croaky too, but feel I may be starting to get better. I thought about buying new sleepers for my ears as I haven't been wearing earrings much over the last few years and had trouble putting some in Wednesday night and my ears are now sore. I put my old sleepers in and there is something wrong with one of them so after coffee Fran and I popped into the jewellers opposite the cafe and asked to see some. Fran thought she might buy some too as she has the same problem. Well after turning the packet over and looking at the price tag we both did a double take and said "No Thnaks" They were $139!! - I think for that price I will put up with the ones I have and hope my ears improve quickly and then I can just put light weight hook ones in! I thought maybe they would be about $50 at the most. It has been a long time since I've bought any gold jewellery and I had my ears pierced when I was about 20, LOL, a few years ago now.
Anyway, here is the card I would like to share with you today,
The basecard is white cardstock from my stash, the DP is from a mini stack from cre8tiv. The stamp is from SU set "Marry Me" and was inked in black and then I used a black Copic to go over it as the ink didn't cover all that well. Quite often I have that problem with silhouette stamps, although when I clean them there is always lots of ink still on them. The decorative corner was cut on my cuttlebug using a Marianne die. I also added some pearls to the corner, they are from SU.
The scan shows the image a bit sketchy but it does look solid in real life.
Well thanks so much for the lovely comments that are left for me and also for popping in.
Take Care,
Sandy

For the New Mr. & Mrs.
Hi, my second post for today as I wanted to enter into
Say It With...Embellished Corners which is the Challenge over at Annabelle Stamps Blog
Well, I'll get straight into sharing,
The base card is another maroon card, and I've also used a lilac card both from stash. The DSP is from FabScraps called "Heritage small floral" The image was stamped on to "Kula Cream" card and coloured with Copic Markers, The sentiment is from SU "Petite Pairs" and stamped with SU Cherry Cobbler. and edged with a marker. The two decorative corners were cut with a Nellie Snellen Die using SU Natural Ivory. I punched the other two corners with a punch. It's not a card I would use for a formal wedding, maybe something casual or even a second wedding.
Hope this meets the criteria,
Thanks for stopping by,
Take care,
Sandy

Just Married
Well it's been a lovely day today, had a craft session with Shirley and made 3 lovely cards, after lunch I washed about 4 loads of towels and clothes, it was good to catch up with the laundry and get it folded and put away too.
After tea, I had choir practise which ran a bit late so got home about 10.45p.m. so now I am going to get this post done and get off to bed.
There is no stamping on this one at all and I had to put a piece of paper behind it to show the edges of the card as the basecard is a pale blue and wasn't showing up well in the scan. I've used a piece of textured card and pricked a stitching pattern and used gold and pink metallic threads to stitch it, I added a little gold heart sticker in the middle of one of the hearts. The image is 3D and I added gold corner stickers on the bottom half.

Two more for Judy
Hi everyone, thanks again to those who are leaving comments, and to those who are popping in and just looking it would be nice to "meet" you. My DIL came this afternoon and picked the girls up and I got to have a lovely cuddle with my new grandson - he's so cute but then I'm a biased "Mama"
My back is still sore but improving, I probably shouldn't have been moving my craft crates into and out of the car, but I managed, and I suppose I will see if it is okay tomorrow.
So, thought I would share another two cards I have made for my friend Judy to sell at her school fete. I've used the same sheet of DSP and made one into a wedding card by adding a stamped bride and groom image and the other I added 3 different stamped presents and it could be used as a birthday, engagement, anniversary or a wedding card I suppose.
I love the paper, it is modern and funky!
Here are the cards,
Take care,
Sandy
