Mother Nature's Reality Check

Even though we've had above-normal temps for November, and will again into the weekend, we woke up to freezing rain, then snow this morning.

Some of us were not impressed.

Some of us spent the day in our "happy place," pretending it still was summer.

All but the last pic were snapped from inside my building and the adjoining one.
It's supposed to hit +7C tomorrow, so all this should disappear. Fingers (and paws) crossed. But oh, yes, this definitely is a reality check from Mother Nature: This is Canada and it's winter!

Snow!?? Aww wow it's Christmas!!
:-)

But seriously!! Hopefully the temp will pick up and delay such ice and snow for a bit more!

Here it's all fog and mist and wet and rain!

p.s. just watched Frozen Planet - lots of scenes of the majestic winter bits of Canada touching the Arctic - Bison and wolves and polar bears -oh my! Oh and snow. Lots of it! Very beautiful! :-)

Take care

I woke up to the local tv news talking about the snow, and how there was half a foot out there and falling an inch an hour.. I dreaded getting up and looking out the window but when I did I found I was lucky enough to be coastal enough that it was all rain.

Oh my goodness, you can have it. I think snow is absolutely one of the most beautiful creations on Earth; however...that's all I want from it, is to look at it!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving day! (and stay warm...)
keep it there please! Love the architecture of the building you photographed

a bit of snow makes everything look gorgeous:) snow is said to hit stockholm this week, i have not mind its absence at all, but (as i've said before) i am worried about these uncommonly mild temperatures this time of the year. thus reality checks like this one is kind of welcome to me:)
