Mark Cuccia is an assurance managing director and shareholder based in the Woodbury office of CBIZ Marks Paneth. Cuccia is also the attest deputy industry practice leader of the private/commercial group for the CBIZ Marks Paneth business unit. He has 25 years of experience providing assurance services, including audits and reviews of financial statements, for clients in the manufacturing, importing, wholesale and distribution, retail, healthcare, professional services and other industries.

Cuccia advises clients on accounting for various complex equity transactions, including profit interests, and assists companies seeking new financing either through private equity or traditional financing, as well as merger and acquisition transactions. He also advises clients when they are implementing new accounting standards as to the effect it will have on their financial statements and related disclosures.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He served as president of the NYSSCPA’s Nassau Chapter for the 2023-2024 fiscal year and is currently the immediate past-president and a co-chair of its accounting and auditing committee.

Cuccia holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from St. Joseph’s University and is a New York State-licensed certified public accountant.
