Flower Friday

Hi pals! Well, grandpa got his brain surgery scheduled - it is set for April 6 and it is going to be done endoscopically - the docs are gonna go through da nose and he duzn't have to have his head cut open again.

Unfortunately for me, dis means grandma are not gonna be able to come out to see me for my birthday! Ok, maybe it wuz also sposed to be for Easter, but we all know she just wanted to spend her favorite grandson's 10th birthday wif him. Ok, only grandson, but still . . . 

Kinley showed off some of da outside flowers, so I are showing da orchids dar are blooming inside.

Spring Break

So it are my momma's Spring Break.

So yesterday I had to endure da world's longest car ride back to Plano.

Normally momma woulda been VERY happy to have a week off from work.

But we got some VERY bad news dis week.

My grandpa has another brain tumor. 

Ok, I guess da first one back in 2017 wuz technically a brain cyst (a colloid cyst) and this one are a tumor (a meningioma), but still. One brain cyst/tumor are one too many - two are just so unfair. It are pressing on his optic nerve, so he can't see outta one eye. He's been to hospitals and it is supposed to meet wif da top brain surgeon/neurologist in DFW in about a week to figure out exactly how this one are gonna be removed. So, Spring Break are kinda not as much fun as normal dis year.

But since I are back in Plano, it means da gang are back together. Angelique are still da diva of da house.

And Bowie are as crazy as ever.

And Bonham and I have been meowing at each other - he's a talker just like me!

Naughty or Nice?

First up, a big thanks for all the purrs, POTP, prayers, good thoughts, etc. for our grandpa/dad.

He had his shoulder surgery on Wednesday - a steel plate and screws. He has to keep it immobilized in a sling for 4-6 weeks, then do rehab.

In other news, da mommas has been busy doing Christmassy things.

The tree are almost finished (it takes multiple days - espeshully since some certain 2 year old cat has to keep knocking off ornaments!), da inside and outside decorayshuns are done, cookies are being made, our cards went out, and momma almost has our Secret Paws present ready to go!

And of course we're waiting for Santa Paws to come. Pretty shure I are on da nice list . . . 

Bowie better hope dat cuteness cancels out ornament knocking, MOL.

Caturday Art

 

Well, da mommas (ok, MY momma and Bowie's momma) has been very busy doing Christmas decoratin. And even some Christmas baking! I'm still waiting on the catnip cookies though.

Today they finished up da outside lights.

Next up are da tree and da rest of da living room decorayshuns.

My room are already decorated up.

And we got to model our new bandanas da last couple days - they've got Christmas cookies on em. I wonder if these has nip in em,

Me and Bowie spent most of today napping - bet we are gettin ready for some nighttime shenanigans!

Grandpa's shoulder are still really painful - thanks everyone for all da purrs. 

Grandpa Update

 

Hey pals.

Well, ICYMI, our grandpa/dad got hit by a moron in a pickup when he wuz out walking.

We're all pretty mad about it, as ya can tell by Angelique's expreshun. Ok, she makes that expresshun ninety purrcent of da time dat she sees my momma wif a camera, but whatefur.

Anyways, he has a broken humerus in his shoulder and he are gonna hafta have surgery - including having a steel plate and screws. He may wind up needing a shoulder replacement if the bone falls apart during surgery.

And da pickup driver did not even get a ticket! Apparently, it are ok to mow down pedestrians around here.

He's still in a lot of pain and his surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday. It really stinks - it definitely has ruined his Christmas.

Speaking of Christmas, my momma has started decorating. My room is all done.

They are planning on getting the outside lights up tomorrow then the tree over the next couple days.

Havin to deal wif all of dis BS has definitely delayed them some. I are lookin forward to more lights.

Watch Where You're Driving!

 

Well, pals, we hasn't posted in a couple days cuz we had some bad news here.

See, on Saturday, my grandpa (AKA Bowie's daddy or my momma's daddy) wuz out walking in our nayborhood and he got hit by a car.

And not just bumped or something - he wuz hit so hard we wuz thrown in da air and landed hard in da street.

He had to go to da murgency room.

YIKES! We have been to da kitty vershun of that and it are no fun! 

His humerus bone are broken up in his shoulder. And no, it are not humorous at all.

He has to go to da orthopedist tomorrow to find out if he are gonna need surgery. Good thing he has three kitty nurses.

And he are in a lotta pain. So just as a reminder, everybody better watch where you're driving!

Happy birthday Angelique! 

Our resident girl cat is seven today! And she celebrated in style with lotsa new nip toys, a bandana, and treats!  

Oh yeah, it wuz also Father's Day.

Grandpa got a speshul brunch and some presents, but Angelique got her presents first. #Priorities.

It's also da first day of summer.

So me and Bowie decided to relax on da table that's appeared in da middle of kitchen (our house is a mess from da packing) and snoopervise da brunch making. Apologies for da blurriness, but momma says it are hard to catch da two of us together.  

Is that shrimp we smell??
