    Cockamouse!!

Plot In a Paragraph: After Robin does an on-air report on her, Barney drags Ted to a matchmaking service owned and operated by Ellen Pierce, whose business claim to fame is a 100% success rate in three days. Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily are scared about a creature they see in their apartment, the creature which they can't agree if a mouse or a cockroach. When they get a closer look, they come to an agreement on what it is, which their friends find ridiculous.

Not as funny as the previous episode, but it's enjoyable non the less as poor Ted is told there is nobody out there for him and a frantic Marshal and lily try and catch the mysterious creature.

All the cast do a fine job, and it's a well directed and entertaining television.

    • Trivia
Ted's favorite book is "Love in the time of Cholera" by Garcia Marquez. The book starts with an old man reminiscing how he came to be with the love of his life, similarly to how Ted tells the story to his children.
    • Goofs
After Ted returns from his appointment with the dermatologist, he tells everyone that she's engaged. A few minutes later, Lily is trying to talk him out of interfering with the wedding plans by pursuing her. She says that the doctor is getting married on Saturday. But Lily doesn't know this information. The audience knows because we heard it from the doctor at the appointment. But Ted never mentioned when the wedding was to take place and no time has passed for Lily to have learned that specific information off-screen yet. However, everything the audience sees involving Present-Day Ted is actually being told in flashback by Future-Ted. He may be simplifying or truncating the story, or remembering it incorrectly.
    • Quotes

Ted: Hey, this may sound weird, but it'll definitely sound more weird once my shirt's off, so I'm gonna ask you now. Do you wanna have dinner with me Saturday night?

Dr. Sarah O'Brien: That's very sweet, but I'm actually getting married on Saturday.

      Ted: ... Friday night?
