Waar blijft de tijd??!!

Where does the time go??!!

Bezig met van alles, echt serieus ;) maar zo weinig om ervan te laten zien...

Een klein (letterlijk) project van vorig jaar is nu bijna af!
Het is een eigen ontwerp, vorig jaar mee begonnen en toen is het onafgemaakt weggelegd...waarom vraag je je dan af, als je het nu weer tevoorschijn haalt en zo snel afmaakt ;)

Busy doing a lot, seriously ;) but so little to show of it...

A small (really) project from last year is nearly finished!
It is my own design, started it last year and for some reason got put away as a UFO...why, I wonder now, when I have finished it so quickly now ;)

De Sneeuwman Pyramide heet ie :0)
Vorig jaar heb ik alle sneeuwmannetjes erop geappliqueerd, armpjes van touw, sterretjes van fimo, vlammen van vilt, gezichtjes erop...
Afgelopen week toen ik bezig was hier op mijn werkkamer wat op te ruimen, heb ik al mijn ufo's weer eens door handen gehad en deze moest nu toch echt af!!
DMC gepakt, letters gestitcht (Let it snow) (maar nu nog niet :0) )
En fiberfill stukken aan elkaar genaaid (ja, ja op Pinky!) om een passende vulling te creeëren.

The Snowmen Pyramide it's called :0)
Last year I had appliqued all snowmen, arms of rope, stars of Fimo, flames of felt, faces for each...
The past weeks I have been busy cleaning op my room and gathered all my ufo's, this one had to be finished!!
Got my DMC, stitched the letters (let it snow) (well, not now ;0) )
And stitched together some fiberfill to make a fitting filling ( yes, on my Pinky!).

Simpel gequilt: rondom de pyramide en wat sterren in de lucht...

Is het niet een heerlijk stofje, mijn achterkant?
Doet een beetje denken aan die zuurstokjes die je rond de kerst kunt kopen :0)
Hiervan heb ik ook de binding gemaakt en het effect is reuze!

Reminds me of candy canes at Christmas :0)
I made the binding of this too and it looks great!

Alleen nog tegenzomen, ophanglusjes eraan en dan is deze ruim op tijd klaar voor December :0)

Only need to handstitch the binding at the back and then this one is ready, way on time for December :0)

Opgeruimd staat netjes

All neat and tidy

Dat is iets wat ik zo heerlijk vind: van tijd tot tijd alles even door mijn handen, dingen uitsorteren en weggooien of opnieuw opbergen :0)
Dit keer waren mijn scraps aan de beurt, want daar heb ik best wel wat van en ik had laatst alles al op kleur gesorteerd...maar geen goede opbergmogelijkheid er daarna voor.
Tot afgelopen weekend!
Bakjes opgehaald, van die kunststofbakjes met deksel, bij de HEMA en alle kleuren bij elkaar in een bakje...heerlijk!

One of the things I love doing, is cleaning up my stuff from time to time. Sorting stuff out, throwing things away while other stuff gets re-arranged :0)
This time my scraps were the subject of my cleaning up, because I have quit a bit of them and I had sorted them out by color the other day but I just didn't have a good storage place for them...until this weekend!
I bought six of those plastic containers with lids and stuffed them with my scraps...love it!

Op het moment ben ik druk bezig met de sterrenquilt.
Er zijn sterren geteld, stoffen gesorteerd en geknipt, malletjes extra gemaakt.

At the moment I am busy with the stars quilt.
I have counted the stars, chosen the fabric and cut it, made extra templates.

Lekker prutsen aan de keukentafel, zodra mijn zoon weer thuis is van school :0)
En dan vordert het best gestaag en ongemerkt!

And it goes kind a quick, too!

And then it's quiet!

Niets ernstigs hoor!!!
Maar gewoon stil, stil om foto's te kunnen laten zien, vertellen over een project...
Want ja, dat is het punt waar ik nu ben ;)
Na wekenlang heerlijk geprutst te hebben met mijn scheve huisjes en lekker veel foto's te laten zien...ligt het werk nu ogenschijnlijk even "stil" .
Niets is minder waar, natuurlijk!! Er is druk gestitcht aan versieringen op de scheve huisjes, er zijn deurkruk-knoopjes opgenaaid, hij is gedubbeld...heel veel gedaan dus...maar daar zijn geen gezellige foto's van te maken, vind ik ;)
Gisteravond is hij gedubbeld!! En hij ligt nu klaar op mijn opgeruimde werktafel ( JA, daar zo meer over...met foto's :0)..) en kan het echte afmaken beginnen!

Nothing serious though!!!!
But it's just quiet, quiet on the photo making front, to tell new things about a project...
because that's where I am now ;)
After weeks of puzzling with my houses and lots of pictures to show...it went "quiet".
But it is all but quiet af course! I've been busy stitching and putting on button-doorknobs and I've doubled it...lots have been done...but not picture-worthy, I think ;)
Yesterday evening I layered the quilt so it is ready now for the real finishing! It is laying and waiting for me on my cleared up table (which I will tell about in a minute...with pictures :0)...)

Gezellig de geurkaarsjes erbij aan...ja, daar ligt ie hoor: de scheve huisjes :0)
Nu is het wel handig om erbij te vertellen dat mijn werktafel bij tijden wel een uitdragerij lijkt...schaam...overal ligt van alles ( waaronder vooral Kat haha).
Maar, nu ik de huisjes af heb en dus voor dit project klaar ben met allerlei kleine stukjes en veel spelden en naaien...was het tijd om op te ruimen!
HEERLIJK!!

It might be best to tell you first, that my table has the unfortunate ability to look like quit the mess....shame on me...there will be clutter everywhere ( and especially a lot of Cat haha).
But, with the houses finished with all it's little pieces and pins and sewing...it was time to clean up!
LOVE IT!!

Zie, ik kan zelfs niet opruimen zonder Kat ;0) de lieverd houdt alles in de gaten, vooral "haar" plekjes...ze heeft er gelukkig "maar" drie op mijn tafel LOL!
Alles lekker weer schoon en aan de kant...ik weet nu al dat ik dingen kwijt heb gemaakt door op te ruimen haha, maar dat hoort erbij!

See, I cán't even tidy up without her ;0) Sweety keeps a watchfull eye open, especially for "her" spots...she "only" has three spots on my table LOL!
Everything nice and clean and put aside...I already know I have cleaned up to misplacing things haha, but that always happens!

Ik heb mijn lampjes weer beter neergezet, want je bemerkt nu echt de kortere dagen! Mijn sfeerverlichting staat er sinds gisteren ook weer :0) Een vaas met kerstlampjes, heel simpel, maar zo sfeervol!
De kasten weer opgeruimd, spullen weggegooid en weggegeven...heerlijk opgeruimd!
En dan kan ik zo intens genieten van mijn "nieuwe" werkplekje, zo gezellig en opgeruimd...een klein coconnetje van geluk :0)

I've rearranged my lamps for you really start to notice the shorter days now! My vase with christmaslights has found his place again, since yesterday :0)
Cleaned out the cupboards, threw stuff away and gave some away...happy days with tidying up!
And then I can SO enjoy my "new" work space, so cosy and neat...a little cocon of happiness :0)

Nog een klein detail waar ik zelf heel blij mee ben en dan denk: waarom dacht ik hier niet eerder aan???
Al mijn quilt-tijdschriften in een mand, makkelijk bij de hand en het staat leuk :0)

Another little detail with which I myself am very content and thought: WHY didn't I think of this earlier???
All my quilting magazines together in a basket, easy to reach and it also looks great :0)

Kunnen jullie daar ook zo van genieten? Heerlijk opruimen en opnieuw indelen?

De scheve huisjes liggen klaar! Ik ga quilten :0) Joepie!
