1 Corinthians 1 (KJV)

5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance (a spoken word, statement, or vocal sound.),  and in all knowledge;
6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:
7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent (well-advised).
20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

vs 25, Paul is being sarcastic and speaking more of a response to fools ~ Karmen

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound (confuse) the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound (confuse) the things which are mighty;
28 And base (to disgrace) things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification (make holy), and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Isaiah 43 (KJV)

1 But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.

7 Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Ephesians 1 (KJV)

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

1 Peter 2 (KJV)

9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar (strange or odd; unusual.) people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance (an authoritative order; a decree.) of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

18 Servants, be subject (submissive) to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward (stubborn).

19 For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted (strike repeatedly) for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

Good thing to keep in mind while at work dealing with an arrogant, overbearing, rude boss.  Those who abuse their authority.  We must endure this behavior.  Does not matter if it is fair or not.  Jesus did this for us ~ Karmen

21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
22 Who did no sin, neither was guile (deceit) found in his mouth:

23 Who, when he was reviled (criticize in an abusive or angrily insulting manner.)
 , reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

(Must keep this in mind.  Follow Jesus' example. Take the unjust criticism. Commit to being righteous before God and take the stripes. Perhaps your righteousness will win others over to Christ.)

25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

(Remember when you were lost?  Now we have to shepherd in the lost sheep :)   We are aliens in this land looking for our brothers and sisters in Christ. Looking for the lost sheep) ~ Karmen
