Wednesday's Words on a Friday
On Wednesday’s , Delores, from Under The Porch Light, has a meme which she calls “Words for Wednesday”. She puts up a selection of six words which we then use in a short story, or a poem. I’m hopeless at poetry so I always do a story. It’s a fun challenge…why not join in? This week's words are: 1. vociferous 2. ambivalent 3. grunge 4. ink 5. flipped 6. dread Kim busied herself turning the bacon and sausages, then flipped the pancakes and checked the coffee machine was working. Stuart had promised it would be fixed over the weekend, but he was often ambivalent about such things, so Kim was pleased to find it was actually producing coffee instead of just burbling away uselessly. She glanced at the clock, realised it was almost time to open the diner and quickly ate her pancakes while putting the bacon and sausages in the warmer for Stuart's breakfast.
