Wrigley Field, the second oldest ballpark (opened 1914 after Fenway Park, Boston, 1912) They are the possibly the only two major league stadia I could immediately name both the city and sport.

The Edgewater Beach Hotel, with a private beach, opened 1916, demolished 1971.  On the far right are the pink hued apartments (still standing) which complemented the yellow hued hotel.

This particular hospital was added to my collection in part because of the name - Lying-in Hospital.  When it opened in 1931, it was described as "the most beautiful hospital in the world, and it stands as a monument to childbearing women and to the dignity of obstetrics."

The Landmark of Chicago Hospitality
The Congress Plaza Hotel may be the most haunted building in all of Chicago.
Among the ghostly many stories, there's the elevator that is known to stop at the 8th floor even if no-one has pushed the button. On the 12th floor one of the rooms has been permanently shuttered due to its frighteningly paranormal activity.

The Grand House on the North Side was the hub of Chicago's social life in the 1890s
Once the largest private residence in Chicago, demolished in 1950.
Fun fact: the exterior doors had no knobs or locks — the only way in was to ring for admittance.

Wacker Drive

Wacker Drive runs along the south side of the main branch (and east side of the south branch) of the Chicago River in the downtown area of Chicago called the Loop. It's a double decker road with the upper level for local traffic and the lower level for through traffic and service trucks. It was named for businessman and city planner Charles Whacker.
