If friends were flowers.......

Hi everyone, I've created this fun card today using the supplies on my craft table.

I began by creating the background with Ranger Distress Oxide Inks.  This creates a really soft and subtle effect which is exactly what I wanted.

I used a Cheery Lynn background die to die cut Rinea Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper, then adhered it to the inked panel.  I purposely did not adhere all the slats as I had a further plan in mind.

Using Heartfelt Creations dies with Rinea Blush/Blush Starstruck Foiled Paper, I created the flowers.

I had 2 previously die cut leaf sprays from Rinea Emerald/Emerald Starstruck Foiled Paper, so I placed the first one on the card, inserting parts through the unglued lattice panels.  The 2nd one was placed on top giving the spray some dimension.  The flowers were then glued in place.  Once dry, I filled the flower centers with Ancient Gold Liquid Pearls.

A small phrase was stamped on white cardstock and punched out.  It was matted to a scalloped oval that was punched from Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper then placed on the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Happy Anniversary Joy Clair Blog Hop

Hi everyone, I am participating in the Joy Clair blog hop today to celebrate their Anniversary.  Joy Clair is now 4 years old and I was privileged to be on their inaugural design team.  Watching this company grow these last few years has been amazing.

I created two different cards for this hop.

My first card is a fall card using a combination of both old and new stamps.

Using a masking technique, I stamped 3 pumpkins from the Fall Time Planner stamp set and the Harvest Blessings stamp set on a white panel.

I masked the pumpkins again and stamped the Broken Brick Background stamp on top.  Masking the pumpkins ensured they would remain in the front of the brick wall.

After coloring the pumpkins, I lightly inked the brick background.  Next I die cut the panel with a large Spellbinders die and matted it with a larger panel of cardstock.

I created a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" square card, added a panel of green and placed the image on the card with foam adhesives.  Then I stamped and die cut a phrase from the Harvest Blessings stamp set, adding it to the left corner.  Does it feel like fall yet?

My next card using the Born to Sparkle stamp set.  Going for a totally different look, I stamped a panel of  Rinea Silver/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper with the included small stamps.  As I wanted the small stamps to sparkle, I used Rinea's Ghost Ink.

The panel was matted with black and white cardstock, then wrapped with silver glittery ribbon before adding the panel to a glittery card.

The sentiment was stamped on Rinea Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper with black ink then die cut and added to the card with foam adhesives.

Please visit the Joy Clair store to see all their amazing stamps and stop by the Joy Clair blog to see lots of inspiration.

Butterfly Cards with Rinea Foiled Paper

Hi everyone, I've got a new post on the Rinea blog.

Nothing screams Spring like butterflies. These butterflies were die cut from Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper using Cheery Lynn Designs Dies. The butterflies are intricate and die cut beautifully from the foils.

Creating a vertical card using papers from Lemon Craft, a simple die cut butterfly was all that was needed to enhance the hard. I adhered the butterfly bodies together as I wanted the wings to be free. A simple phrase completed the card.

My next card uses the same papers and was oriented horizontally. A different shaped butterfly was also die cut from Violet/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and adhered to the corner.  The phrase was die cut and added with foam adhesives.

Home Canvas with Arc Barc Wood and Clearsnap Ink

Good morning everyone.  Have you seen  Arc Barc Wood products yet?  They create wood paper sheets that can be used for all your crafting needs.

Let me show you how I created this home canvas.

I used the Rustic Birch BARC Wood Sheet for the base of my project.  I wanted to add some additional dimension so I  used the Wordwords Rollagraph Wheel across the panel.  It's heard to see, but it really added some nice dimension.  Since the wood panel is self adhesive it easily adhered to the canvas.

The fence was cut from White Birch Barc Wood Sheet and then embossed with an embossing folder and inked.  The trellis was die cut from White Birch Barc Wood Sheet and it cut beautifully.

The house was stamped 3 times and various elements were placed on top for more dimension.  Smooch Accent Ink added some subtle colors to the windows and door of the house.  Assorted flowers were also stamped, colored with Smooch Accent Ink and fussy cut.  They were added about the trellis.

The trees were stamped and inked and also fussy cut.  I found a small heart punch that created hearts that fit the trees.   Just for fun, I added some small rocks to the bottom of the fence.

I loved working with the Wood paper - it really adds a wonderful element to my project.

If Friends were flowers........

My first design team project for Susan K. Weckesser is up on the blog today.

I've used Susan's Fly Away stamp set from Unity Stamps, adding color with Pan Pastels and Clearsnap ink.  The trellis was added to the card with ScraPerfects's The Best Glue Ever.  The Prima flowers were also colored with Pan Pastels before adding them to the trellis with a tiny wood butterfly.  The butterfly needed a trail so I used The Best Glue Ever to place dots of glue onto which I placed Robin's Nest Dew Drops.

A tiny chipboard sign was inked and a simple sentiment placed on top and nestled amongst the flowers.

Live a Creative Life

Sin City Stamps is having a design team call and this is my submission.

Starting with wrinkled tissue paper, attach to canvas board with Mod Podge. Allow to dry before proceeding.

Using several colors of Izink, a liquid pigment ink, place drops on a craft sheet then spritz with water.

Pick up assorted colors of Izink and paint over the canvas randomly, allowing the colors to sit on top of the wrinkled tissue paper.  Spritz the canvas with water and then rotate the canvas allowing the colors to move around.  Allow to dry or heat set.

Using  a diamond  stamp, stamp around the edges of the canvas board in a distressed fashion.  Stamp sentiment directly on the canvas.  Stamp several of the words on chipboard.  Ink edges and adhere to the canvas with the Best Glue Ever.  Ink arrows and rub Izink on top.  Ink butterflies with several colors of ink and emboss with Clear embossing powder.  Add to canvas with the Best Glue Ever.

Die cut a trellis, ink and emboss with clear embossing powder.  Die cut several leaves and mix among the trellis.  Ink the flowers with several colors of Izink and adhere with the Best Glue Ever.

Ink, emboss and heat set a small tag, then use stickers to add "play" on top.   Tie a ribbon to the tag and add it under the flowers.

Pumpkins

It's almost Fall.  Can you believe it!  The feel of the cooler air, the morning dew on the grass, the light breeze during the day.  I love it!!!  We haven't had a bad summer, but I am so ready for fall.

So, what about creating some pumpkins and getting ready for the change of seasons!!  I shared this post recently on the Clearsnap blog.

Supplies:
Cardstock:  Bazzill
Dies: Cheery Lynn Designs, Prickley Pear, Heartfelt Creations
Ink, Rollagraph Wheel:  Clearsnap
Brads:  Bo Bunny

Using a Rollagraph Wheel and Tangerine Ink, ink a sheet of 12" x 12" cardstock.
Ignore the imperfections in the rolling as this makes for a very unique pumpkin.

Cut into 12 - 1" strips and ink all edges with Chocolate Ink.

Cut a second sheet of cardstock 10" x 12".
Using the Simple Dots Rollagraph Wheel, Ink cardstock with Mustard Ink.
Cut into 12 - 1" strips and ink the edges with Chocolate Ink.

Punch a hole in the top and bottom of each strip, about 1/2" from the edges.
Add the brads then gently fan out the strips to create the desired pumpkin shape.
Die cut a large circle from chipboard for each which will be used as the base.
Die cut green cardstock and adhere to the chipboard.
Die cut the Fringe ----- die twice for each pumpkin and adhere around the base.

Add Scor-tape to the center of the circle and adhere the pumpkin on top - redistributing the strips until you like the way it looks.

To create the curling strips, cut 2 pieces of green cardstock each 2" x 8".
Fold in half creating a 2" x 4" piece and punch a hole in the folded end (about 1/4" from the edge).
Cut down the green piece creating thin strips.
Roll each strip around a thin tool until you like the way the strips appear.
Open brad and place the curling strips in place.

Create the pumpkin handle by rolling up of brown cardstock (approximately 2" x 4")
Score 1/2" along the short edge then add Scor-tape to the long edge and adhere.
Gently fold and ink with Chocolate Ink.
Cut up the scored lined and add Scor-tape.
Adhere to the top of the pumpkin.

Using Burlap die, cut from tan paper and wrap around the handle.
Add additional leaves as desired.

Decorate the smaller pumpkin with additional dies.

Happy Fall to you.

This is definitely a fun and creative project to create.  Why not take out some scraps and create some today!!

Thanks for stopping by.
