Ikan Sumbat Sambal Kelapa ~ Coconut Sambal Stuffed fish~ 椰丝參巴醬酿鱼

This stuffed fish recipe was created after i tried few nice stuffed fish from my friend and my friend's mother . Love the citrus aroma from the Kaffir lime leaves and coconut aroma from the grated coconut. This time i used ikan cencaru or hardtail mackarel fish , but i still prefer that one i cooked with ikan kembung which the flesh was more fine.

Poached fish with Onions and Limes dressing 青柠洋葱水煮鱼

This is a very nice fish recipe that i learnt from my mother. The method of cooking this fish is using poaching method. Simmer the fish in hot water instead of the usual way of steaming it. This method resulted moist fish texture if compare to steaming method ( the flesh tasted dry if over steamed or not enjoy it immediately).

Chinese Tea Smoked Fish 烟熏鱼 ~喜气羊羊 2015

I have been wanted to try tea smoked method of cooking, one of the old Chinese cooking method. The other day I saw a China TV food show program which the chef of a restaurant showed his simple way of  tea smoked fish that using black pomfret. This dish also can be served during Chinese New Year. Since Chinese like the phrase of Nian Nian You Yu (年年有余) as fish (yu, 鱼) means "surplus" or "abundance".

Ikan Masak 3 Rasa (Thai Malay Sweet, Sour & Spicy Fish) 泰式三味鱼

Finally I am able to share with you this Ikan Masak 3 Rasa (Thai Malay Sweet & Sour Fish). I could not take clearer picture when the first time I cooked this fish dish as sky already turned dark. Today I try to cook earlier so I can take a clearer picture. But feel sorry to my family who has to eat this dish cold by the time they take dinner ...
We took a very nice Ikan Masak 3 Rasa ( means fish cooked with 3 difference tastes, sweet, sour and spicy) in a Thai Malay restaurant during our recent trip to Kelantan. All dishes served in this restaurant were very yummy. I will try to imitate those dishes we ordered one by one, first comes with this Ikan Masak 3 Rasa, hope you will like it.

I immediately tried my kid’s favourite Teriyaki salmon, learnt how to cook this from a TV cooking show recently. Wor, the taste was exactly like those served in Japanese restaurant, sweet and flavourful, so next time we do not need to go Japanese restaurant to have the good Teriyaki salmon.
