All the instruments used seem to be vintage (or they sound like it at least). There is a lot of cool organ and synth and the lead guitar has Gimour/Latimer qualities, something I appreciate a lot with the extensive soloing. The songs are dynamic but in a relaxed manner. Camel and Caravan come to my mind as acceptable references, even though none of the songs here actually remind of these two bands.Read the full review by Marc at proggnosis.com
2014 is a very special year for DICE! In addition to the big „20“ of the twentieth DICE album - the band is also 40 years old in 2014 - Christian has founded the band in 1974 in Gütersloh/Westphalia, where he went to school ... 6 Songs in one hour, that means 5 epic longtracks and one more „Dreamscene“ (No. 17). It takes courage, one - the Prog otherwise alien appearing - instrument like the harmonica give such a large space, as happened here. Harmonica player Thomas Hanke is now a full member of the band and with his extraordinary virtuosity he enjoyed the DICE fans especially in the many instrumental parts of the new album. Even with „Twentaurus“ DICE shows tricky rhythm changes arranged at the highest musical level.Links:
