Germans, Prussians, Robots, Deep Ones, Space Marines, Minenwerfer, Dacians, Adeptus Mechanicus, and some Walls

Hello Dearest Viewer,

It's been six weeks since I posted anything, but at least this time I'll show you 61 things I finished..

Here are seven little robots.  The hovering things Old Glory drones, much like little flying Fallout robots.

The three bots silently running are from Black Cat Bases.  I put one on a base made out of a circuit board, but it looks stupid.

Speaking of Black Cat Bases, here are eight of their Deep Ones, from their lovely Lovecraft line.

I loved painting these guys and want to paint more.  I know they are very shiney; I gloss coated them because Lovecraft described them as slick or slimey.

The deep ones were posing in front of some walls I made for the soon to be released Fallout Wasteland Warfare.  http://www.modiphius.com/fallout.html

In case a wall gets destroyed, I built a damaged one too.

It's simple cardboard, so I soaked it in glue to make the torn "metal" not move.

Oh dear, someone got caught in the minenwerfer explosion!

Here are some Prussians running around.  (Warlord)

Here they are running back for a thing they forgot.

Some Old Glory small WWI Minenwerfer crews.

Here they are wondering where the Prussians went.

Here's some large Old Glory Minenwerfer's.  I posted the crews in an earlier post.  I love both saying and writing Minenwerfer.                                                Minenwerfer
Minenwerfer

Three more space marines in my quest to paint one of each legion.

Black Templar, Adulator, Dark Angel.

Two Old Glory robots, I love robots.

The blue one is named My Little Minenwerfer.

A Warlord mounted Prussian Landwehr officer and 3 Old Glory Rus swordsmen.

I secretly positioned the Rus at different angles; so you can't tell they're all the same model pose.

Here's a GW Adeptus Mechanicus boss of robots model; next to him is an old Mageknight model with a couple GW parts added.

I spared every cost on the robot, his base is even an old broken one, held together with puppy love.

Four random models.  I have no clue who made the dwarf with a catapult on his back.  The barbarian is an old Citadel model.

I don't know who made the large medic, but he's been conscripted into my IG army.  The little IG guy is one of the worst IG sculpts from the Rogue Trader days.

Here's some random crap I glued to bases.  The brown stone is fossilized dinosaur bone; there must be a dinosaur graveyard buried in my yard.  They're chunks sliced off of larger pieces.

The green rock is a piece of Sonoran sunrise turquoise given to me by  Huitzilopochtli.  (Tournament Gamer secret:  smash several painted models before every battle, as a sacrifice to Huitzilopochtli and you always win; but never invite him to be a house guest (he leaves his socks under the couch and puts cheese in his coffee)).

Almost everyone was posing on this 6' x 4' flexible game mat I made.  It's amazingly flexible and soft.

To make a flexible mat: 1. get a big piece of canvas, 2. mix sand, brown paint and acrylic caulk (min 1 tube per 4 square feet, 3.  put goo on canvas, 4. let dry, 5. dry brush, 6. add flock if you want

Well till next time my beloved Minenwerfers, when I'll have Polish Lancers, Prussians, robots, spacemen and only Huitzilopochtli knows what else.

XOXOXOXO

Love,

Baconminenwerferfat

Rus Warriors, Dacians, Squats, Animals, and Rebased WWI Germans

Hello Distinguished Visitor,

I've managed to finish a few miniatures.  First up are eleven Gripping Beast Rus warriors.  I hope to use them for Lion Rampant.

This one looks a little bit like a slim warlike Santa Claus.

Running away.  I've only now noticed I forgot to glue shields on most of them.

Here's some more Gripping Beast Rus.  Notice the weird eyes on the bald guys!  I think the Gripping Beast minis might match up with Old Glory Rus.

A few members of my Warlord Games Dacian Leadership suite.

How much do you think these stupid horns weighed?

Some old Rogue Trader era Squat models.

Identical sculpts with different heads.

Two dogs of unknown manufacture and a giant rat.

The black dog paint job is very uninspired and will be repainted someday when all my other lead is repainted, unless I'm dead.

Some used WWI Old Glory Germans I bought already painted.  I only rebased them on US nickels.

Second batch.  I love these sculpts and wish to paint some.  I just renewed my Old Glory membership so I may get some.

Till next time, when I hope to have a game report, some Dacians, some Rus and I have no clue what.

Love and Kisses,
Baconfat

WWI Germans, Mouth of Sauro, Oldhammer 40K Guardsmen, an Emperor's Spears, a Mercenary, and Oldhammer Empire Spearmen

Hello,

I have posted recently, but I have finished painting a number of minis.  First up are 16 Wargames Foundry WWI early war Germans.

These painted up quickly because I didn't paint the piping.  I've read that piping was reserved for more elite troops.  On TMP they argue a lot about what color the uniforms were.  I'm going to believe all of them are correct and use color variations to tell units apart on the battlefield.

Here is a machine gun crew firing under the watchful eye of Mouth of Sauron.  Its a unusually static model from Mithril Miniatures.

Some people paint unit insignia on the canvas helmet covers.  That's insane.  My helmets will look the same on the front as on the back, as you can see below.
Here are twelve plastic GW Empire spear men.  I think they are Perry brother sculpts.  I tried to paint them in a Landsknecht style.  I will be pretending they are Landsknecht with training pikes.
Did you know Games Workshop destroyed the fantasy setting of the "Old World"?  Yes, it was destroyed, sucked into some demon warp plane of non-existance.  Everyone died.  It's gone.  The few survivors live in some weird other dimension and the human armies are magic dudes in space marine armor.
Here are nine old metal GW Necromunda Cawdor gangers.  I think they have "autoguns."
The internet says they are religious zealots.  I wish I had painted them up in monk colors.  It would have been more fitting.
Here are nine of the original plastic GW Imperial Guardsmen.
Only several hundred left to paint.  I must have painted over 800 in this same stupid paint scheme of Necromunda Spiders, from the Rogue Trader book.
Pew, pew, pew! go the Spiders fighting Cawdor gangers, "Pew, pew, pew, to you bad naughty gangers, pew, pew, pew!"

I also found and painted four more old Rogue Trader gunners/commanders.

I'm up to eleven of these standing around guys; I hope I don't find more.

Lastly one more space marine, in my paint one of every chapter project.  The internet told me he's an Emperor's Spear.
Someone on the internet said Space Marines don't have genitals.  This ball-less behemoth is next to an old metal Grenadier halberdier; he'll be signing on with my Burgundian mercenary company.

Till next time, when some of the terrain, Sarmatian cavalry, Burgundian crossbows, Bretonnian crewmen, tiny robots, blah, blah, might be done.

Love and Kisses,
Baconfat
