Here are a bunch of videos over the last several weeks. Enjoy!!!
T rode a horse for the first time! She loved it so much I told Josh we should totally get her one for Christmas and he looked at me like I had 2 heads. I took video of her on the horse and it is so cute. I will post it later. She was just smiling so big and laughing. Wilson on the other hand was scared to death. Apparently she was "bucked" off a horse (pony, small pony) when she was little. I think she remembers it differently than how it really was. Thanks Wilson for overcoming your fear to give T her first horsey ride!
We went to California as always for Thanksgiving. We are so close with our family there and Thanksgiving is really the only time during the winter holidays that we get to see them. We do a
gift exchange, eat a lot, laugh a lot and it is an all around good time. The day before Thanksgiving we decided to throw my brother Matt and his new wife Amy a shower but since it was small and just family that was there we called it a sprinkle. We had a Hawaiian theme since they got married in Hawaii and it was a good time. The trip was good as always however, we wont drive next year. T was not loving the car ride on the way there. We drove at night thinking she would sleep and made the mistake of keeping her up from her nap so she would be good and tired and sleep the whole way. It ended up that she was so over tired that she screamed a good part of the way. I had worked all night at the hospital Monday night and then worked all day Tuesday so all I wanted to do was sleep on the drive so we had some pretty irritated Locke's show up on Tuesday night. The drive home was way better but I still think flying is better. 50 minutes and you are there.
When T was a baby I met a bunch of girls in a playgroup. Over the course of the last 16 months I have gotten to know them so well and have gotten to be very good friends with them. It used to be more for us mommies to get out of the house and commiserate with other moms who knew that mommyhood isn't always easy. Now, not only is it for us but for the kids too. Tatum loves her friends and I hope so much they are able to all be friends as they grow up. They are all so cute together and truly love each other. There is always hugging and kissing going on. I went to lunch with Christa the other day. Now that we moved we don't see them nearly as often as we used to or as we would like. We were ordering and the girls we just sitting this bench like little mini adults out for lunch. I couldn't pass up the photo opportunity. Tula, Tatum loves you and we cant wait to see what kinds of mischief you girls get into down the road.
I love them. I have known them since college and well, they have stuck by me through thick and thin. They were both in my wedding, there to see Tatum when and right after she was born (Kim was even brave enough to watch the whole thing) and we have shared SO many crazy, fun, sentimental, hilarious, sad and just plain awesome memories together. Kim turned 29 so we went to dinner, just the three of us and had the best time. Not to mention eating the most fantastic macaroni carbon ever! I hadnt laughed that hard in years I dont think. We were all hysterical several times and in tears we were laughing so hard. Good wine, good food and good friends. It doesnt get much better than that. Thanks guys for a great night. I needed that and I love you!
We all know T likes to dip things. We were at a Mexican restaurant with Kathy and Jenelle and she wanted a chip. So, I gave her one and she wanted to dip hers like I was dipping mine so I let her so she would stop asking. She didnt hate it but she didnt love it. She did dip a few more times though. Gotta love it. It was mild salsa so it was ok.
Since T had a good time helping with the macaroni sauce I figured we would give it another shot. I decided after Kaisha's fancy Halloween sandwiches that I was going to make food fun too! Not that T has any trouble eating...she loves everything even broccoli but it makes it fun for me too. So, I was at Home Goods the other day and saw Pancake shapes. So, I bought them and we attempted our first try at a flower shaped pancake. The first one didnt work but the second one did and T thought it was very cool. She had fun helping to stir the batter.
My good friend Sara makes clothing for babies and toddlers and I love it! She does such cute stuff. She made T this tank and it matches her hot pink pants. If anyone is intersted in something darling for Christmas or a first birthday shirt etc you can check her out on ETSY where you can buy all things handmade. It is an awesome site. You can see her store here!
Thanks Sara for the cute stuff if you are lucky, maybe one day I will remember to pay you for it!
They were in town for a visit the week before Thanksgiving. We had lots of fun as always. We sure do love having visitors! Thanks guys for a fun weekend! We love you! Not sure why everything I type is underlined. Blogger is random sometimes.
Looks like we are investing in one of these much sooner than we thought. Over the last few days, actually about a week now T has been telling us when she goes potty in her panties. A couple times she has even told us before she went. All this without any mention of potty training other than me telling her when I go pee pee on the potty that thats what I am doing and when she is bigger she will go pee pee on the potty too. Other than that, she just figured it out on her own. I think we will just get this and sit her on it from time to time to get her used to it and take it from there. Holy smoke, might something actually be easy with miss Tatum?
Tatum got some new jeans and they are so darn cute! She loves them. They are soft and comfy and super stylin'! I love dressing her. It is so fun! She also got a fancy new belt with rhinestones on it to hold up her new pants that fit her in the length but not in the waist. Story of her life....not so much mine though unless of course it is that they dont fit in the waist cause they are too small. LOL.
After the turkey tiles we took the kids to McDonalds for some lunch and play time. While some of us (Kaisha) we a little nervous about the kids playing on the equipment it was a good time. I have to admit, I wasn't crazy about it either considering I had no idea how they clean the stuff and I didnt have enough "wet ones" to sanitize the whole play area. The kids had fun with the exception of one mishap. Mikayla found her way up the slide and got stuck, well not really stuck but she was afraid to come down and it was a small play thingy so one of us had to climb up the slide and get her. Guess who got nominated? Your's truly. So, I climbed up the slimey, greasy germy slide to rescue Mikayla and we both came down safe and sound. Not sure why the pics dont ever load in the order I want them but they are taking forever to load so I am not trying again to get them in the correct order. :)
A while before Thanksgiving we got together with some friends and made turkey tiles. The kids got to paint their hands and stamp a tile and then we got to paint it to make it into a turkey. While this required much more artistic effort from us mommies it was a good time. T made 2 of the prettiest turkies I have ever seen!
