You have started reaching back and holding on to me when I try to put you down lately. You know that when I put you down, I usually walk away to do something or pay attention to your sister. Today when Shanny got to our house, you smiled so big at her. I know you love her but when I went to hand you over, you reached over and grabbed my shirt. It hurt my heart and made me smile at the same time. I know you are getting to that age where you dont like it when mommy leaves you, regardless of who it is with. Before I became a mommy I was always so afraid of my babies not having secure bonds with me, now I know you do. So did your sister and it makes all those nights of not-so-good sleep because you were cuddled next to me, all those times of stomping my feet when you guys would latch on cause nursing was so painful at first, all those times of nursing for hours on end during the fussy evening times and nursing you guys longer than most people thought I should SO worth it. I love the bond I have with both you girls, I wouldnt change it for the world....

Big shoes to fill
Tatum loves to wear my shoes. Last night while we were hanging out on the sofa watching the season finale of Master Chef she decided to put them on and do a little dance, in front of the TV, singing the months of the year, in order! It was so funny and so surprising because I know I didn't teach her all those. Looks like preschool is paying off!
Green Beans a NO-go
Ellison tried green beans the other night. She wasn't a fan...so she spit it out everywhere. Drama, drama, drama.

6 months
6 months have passed since you entered this world and our lives changed forever. 6 months have passed since I learned quicker than I ever thought I could that I really can love 2 babies equally but differently at the same time. 6 months have passed since my heart swelled to epic proportion. 6 months have passed since we became a family of 4. 6 months have passed since you were born my sweet Ellison and this world has no idea what it is in for because you are going to do amazing, really big things. I love, love, love you chicken. More than you will ever, ever know.

Rubber Ducky
More like a plastic ducky but whatever. I got E this bathtub because she is sitting pretty well now but sometimes she topples over cause she is still learning and this duck has soft sides and it sits right in the big tub. That way if she topples over she cant bonk her head. She loves her ducky tub. We gave it a test run on the carpet and then in the bath. I think it is a hit!

Built in friends
Ellison is one lucky girl. She has all kinds of built in friends. All her sister's friends got siblings the same time her big sister did and since we all hang out, she has her own set of friends already built in. Considering at my annual Christmas party last year, 12 of the 16 girls there were pregnant, we all had babies around the same time. While she doesnt really know the difference now, I know she will grow to develop relationships with these kiddos just like Tatum has and I love watching them grow up to be such little social butterflies. Ellison got to play with her friends Avery, Collin and Jackson and Tatum got to play with Elliott too who is Collin's older brother. It was a good time, the babies all did great and Tatum and Elliott swam like little fishies and played all afternoon together.
Hey Avery, how's it going?
Movie Night take 2
We had movie night at Courtnee's again and it was fun as always. The girls watched The Little Mermaid and played dress up in princess costumes. Courtnee and I were actually able to have a glass of wine and sit and chat while the girls played and Molly was sleeping. Ellison was just hanging as always being her usual rock star self.
D-Backs
Friday night I had to work and Preston had tickets to the baseball game so, Sara agreed to watch Ellison while Josh and Preston took Audrey and Tatum to the game. They had a great time eating hot dogs, peanuts and drinking $5 bottles of water. T and A had fun running up and down the isles and watching the game. Seems it is a good way to wear the girls out....

BBQ'n
Saturday night we had some friends over for a bbq, you know, with it being a holiday weekend and all. It only seemed right to grill up some good eats and good eats is what we had! Josh made the most amazing ribs with beans and coleslaw. It was so good we ate way too much. The kids were great, they ran around like crazies and had their fair share of nuggets and fries. I like bbq's that are kind of just thrown together, without a real plan. It makes for a good night.
