Friend

As a mom you love your baby. Its a love that is not able to be put into words. Any mom will tell you that. The feelings you have for your own child are simply amazing. But, you wanna know what is equally as amazing? When people you love, love your baby too. Tatum has such and amazing bond with her family near and far and she has an amazing bond with several of my friends too. If they dont see her for a while they email and tell me they are in withdrawl of her, it is so cute. If you know me, you know that my friends are family to me. I would do anything for them and I love them just like I love my family. A friend said to me today "I just have this soft spot in my heart for T. I was just saying how I am so in love with her little personality and how sweet she is and how her little smile makes me melt" Do you know what that feels like as a mom to hear that? Simply amazing. Made me cry. Thanks for that. It made my day.

The lake

This past weekend we took a trip to the lake with our good friends Sara and Preston and of course Audrey and Izz came along too. We met my family there and had such a great weekend. The trip got off to a slow start since the lights on the boat trailer werent working. We stopped off in Surprise Arizona to try to fix it. What was supposed to be a quick fix turned into a little over and hour. It was fine though, we let the girls run around like crazy people in the parking lot and even ventured into WalMart (Sara and I's favorite store...not really) to pick up a few items we forgot to pack. Then we were back on the road for the next 4 hours of our drive. We took walkie talkies so we were able to communicate on the drive. That made for some fun conversations. We all assumed leaving at night would of course guarantee us a trip with 3 sleeping kids but that was not the case. While they all did awesome on both legs of the drive, none of them slept much at all. I guess the car ride was way too exciting. We arrived around 2:40 a.m. to lake mead and once we unpacked we had some time to wind down. The girls of course thought our adjoining rooms were the best thing ever and even at 3:00 a.m. they were crazy and jumping on the bed. We were all sitting around planning future camping trips when we realized it was close to 4 in the a.m. and we better to go bed. The kiddos woke up around 9 and we started our day. Had some breakfast at the marina and loaded up the boats. We were out on the lake all day both days and the kids did awesome! Saturday night Jenelle a.k.a Wilson was nice enough to watch the kiddos so we could go out to eat. We came back to the room to find Audrey and Tatum fast asleep cuddling eachother in the same bed. Quite possibly the cutest thing any of us had ever seen. Super fantastic trip and lots and lots of great memories. Definitely needs to be an annual thing and gives us lots to look forward to.

We only had a shower in our room so Jenelle took T to her

room to give her a bath only to realize she had no clothes for her.

So, she improvised and this is how she showed up at my door.
