Thanksgiving

Another Thanksgiving come and gone. Its crazy how time flies. It was another great year as always for the holiday in California. It never fails to be super fun. We drove this year, it went fine but we both decided next year, with the new baby and T being 3 and all, we are going to fly. Its not a long drive by any means but long enough that you feel like you waste an awful lot of time just sitting. T was a trooper the drive there, she slept about 1.5 - 2 hours. We drove at night so she was tired but couldnt get comfy. Once we got there she was up until 2 a.m. Its crazy I know, a 2.5 year old up that late but she can hang with the best of them, she always has. She cant stand to miss out on anything just to go to sleep. She was up late every night we were there, which is par for the course and she was great. She adores the family and has taken quite a liking to her "uncle wilson". This is Jenelle and while Jenelle is female for whatever reason T started calling her uncle wilson. Jenelle took her to the wild animal park Wednesday and they had a great time. Pics of that to come once she sends them to me. Other than that, it was just a lot of hanging out, tons of eating and being with family. Good times. I didnt take tons of pics this year, I need to be better about that. Here are some pics from the weekend.

On the drive home
Apparently cheese is better stored on the DVD player
than on her lap to be eaten

Her hiney makes me laugh when she has no idea its showing
Patiently waiting for Wilson to pick a bag at the Coach store
We used a family restroom that had sinks just her size, she LOVED this.
And toilets too

I had to add this cause my cousin Greg found a pink snuggie to wrap up in
You are just lucky I didnt post of the pic of him "raising the roof" like in the commercial
Only in California in November
All tuckered from jumping with Jamie
Makeshift table to eat some salad
What a good uncle Wilson to eat on the floor with her
We also had a 25th anniversary party for my parents! Wow, 25 years!

There's just something about Tatum

Good doggie

I know I write about it all the time but I just cant get over how fantastic Maui is with T. She lets T do anything to her. Even sit on her, bearing all her weight and Maui just sits there, patiently waiting for her to get off. I love how much they love eachother.

Waiting

T and daddy have made a habit of waiting for me to get home when I am gone. Whether I am coming home from work, the store or anywhere for that matter T LOVES to sit on the carport and wait for me to come home. I usually always call on my way home so that she can go out there and wait for me. I love pulling onto our street and see her jump up when she sees the car, then run around and I can tell she is squeeling even though I cant hear her. When its going to be a while, like when I am coming home from work, she sits out there with her daddy, they pull out the camp chairs and she usually takes pictures or draws with chalk while she patiently awaits the arrival of her momma. I cant even put into words how much I love to see her smiling little face waiting for me to pull in. Its delicious.

Long Horns

As some of you know, last week my Papa passed away and I made a trip to Texas for his funeral. It was a sad time for my family. He will be greatly missed by many. I was so glad Matt and I were able to go visit him a couple weeks ago, and then also were able to attend his funeral. He was a HUGE Texas Longhorns fan and when I say Huge, I mean huge. All the guys in the family decided to wear longhorns shirts for the service and they all looked so nice. I am sure Papa loved looking down and seeing everyone wear them with pride. I just loved this picture of my Dad, uncle, 2 brothers and cousins with my Granny. I know she loved seeing them all in their shirts just as much as Papa did.

Nighty night

The other night before T went to bed she needed to make sure her monkey was tucked in and ready for bed. This monkey was mine when I was little and she found it in a box recently and has taken quite a liking to it. It has a pacifier that is attached to its hand and fits in its mouth and she likes to make sure it has its paci in all the time. She has even started sleeping with it, along with Mowmay excpet for the nights that monkey is tucked in and snoozing on my floor. Here she is tucking monkey in for a good nights sleep.

Please excuse the blog, I have no idea what is going on. I have contacted the girl who originally developed this template for me so we will see what she has to say. :)

Happy Halloween!

We had such a fantastic Halloween! We had some friends over for chili and cornbread and then went out trick or treating with the kiddos. They all looked so adorable and LOVED going door to door getting candy. Tatum was so funny, she would go up to the house, say Trick-or-treat, then once they would give her candy she would say " thank you very much, I'll miss you all day, happy halloween'!! in the most excited voice ever! It was so dang funny. Holidays are so much more fun with kids! She was all kinds of hyped up on sugar for the night and spent some time running back and forth between the play room and the living room at high speeds. Eventually she settled down and went to bed without a fight. The perfect end to a perfect night.

She had a fancy spider clip in her hair, you cant see very good
but it was cute

Tatum, Audrey and Lauren. Could they be cuter?
That teddy bear is miss Isabelle

Aunt Kim came out for the festivities just like last year!

Halloween party

Of course there were parties to attend with this start to the holiday season. We had a great time at the halloween party and all the kids were so cute in their costumes, however, getting all of them to post is a whole nother story.

Pumpkin Patch

Friday night we went to the pumpkin patch to pick out T's pumpkin and carve it. T got to bring a friend cause Kayden's mommy went into labor so he was having a sleep over with us. They had fun picking out pumpkins and riding on the very old tractor. The kids were tired since neither one of them thought it necessary to have a nap that day but they were troopers and it was fun to watch them run around in the dirt.
