give them a hard time...

... per favore...

non avvolgeteli nelle lucine...

non fate loro indossare ridicoli abiti e cappelli...

...ma soprattutto...

non appendeteli nelle vostre calze...

...please...

do not roll them up in Xmas lights

do not dress them with ridicolous dresses and hats...

...but overall...

do not hang them in your Xmas stockings...

Anche oggi vi propongo una "scheda ispirazionale" sulle decorazioni natalizie... questa volta sui toni del bianco e rosso... che, poi, sono stati i miei colori nei primi Natali in Ciccilandia...

Today too I am proposing you an "ispirational board" about Xmas decorations.... this time in white and red shades.... which, in the end, have been my  colours in the first Xmases here in Ciccilandia...

... un po' perchè sono quelli della mia casa e quindi veniva naturale utilizzarli... un po' perchè comunque sono colori che mi piacciono molto!!!!

Trovo che il Natale bianco e rosso sia un Natale fresco, spiritoso, tradizionale ma giovane... ed anche elegante nella sua semplicità!!!!

... a bit because they are my home colours and so it was natural to use them... but then because in the end they are colours that I love very much!!!

I think that a red and white Xmas is a lively, witty, traditional but young Xmas... and elegant despite its simplicity!!!

Mi sembra che con questi colori le abitazioni rimangano luminose e leggere... ma non per questo meno festose... anzi!!!!

Si, si...Anche se ultimamente ho virato verso altre tinte... devo ammettere che il Natale bianco&rosso non mi stanca mai...

I think taht  with these colours houses seem bright and light... but not for this less merry... on  the contrary!!!!

Yes, yes... even though I recently turned to other hues... I must admit that a red&white Xmas doesn't bore me ever...

Sicuramente, nei prossimi anni li utilizzerò di nuovo... 

La maggior parte delle mie decorazioni sono bianche e rosse... e, non ce n'è, nel Nido sono quelle che stanno meglio... armonizzandosi con tutto il resto... e regalando a tutta la casa un'aria davvero fresca e festosa!!!!

Surely, in the next years I will use them again....

Most of my decorations are red and white... and, there's no other way, in the Nest they are the most suitable.... matching with all the rest... and giving the whole house a really merry and lively appereance!!!!

E quando lo farò... grazie a Comare Nennè... avrò delle bellissime calze per noi e per le nostre picole pesti... perfettamente coordinate con tutto il resto!!!!

Buongiorno a tutti e buon lunedi!!!
Ci eravamo lasciati , venerdi, parlando di Pepa e Olivia, con questa frase:
"E adesso facciamo un salto di cinque mesi ed arriviamo ad oggi!!!Come sono Pepa e Olivia? Sicuramente, come avevamo pensato, Pepa è la più problematica e Olivia la più equilibrata (dove equilibrata è un eufemismo).... ma non esattamente come avremmo creduto..."

Good morning everybody and have a good monday!!!

We left, on friday, while we were talking about Pepa and Olivia, with this sentence:

"And now lets' jump over 5 monyhs and come to nowadays!!!

How Pepa and Olivia really are???Surely, as we had thought, Pepa is the most problematic and Olivia the most equilibrated one (where equilibrated is an euphemism)... but not exactly as we had believed... "

Actually...

Olivia, che sembrava quella più pestifera, è abbastanza calma (ma anche lei ha i suoi schizzi tipici degli Aussie) e coccolona, ma allo stesso tempo la più "rustica"... quella che ama maggiormente starsene seduta in giardino con qualsiasi condizione climatica (mentre la sorella predilige divano e calduccio)... è la più vorace e la più ubbidiente... anche lei combina innumerevoli guai (è lei la capa del commando "svuotamento vasi e distruzione piante"), ma quando la sgridi obbedisce e si dispiace!!!! Lei è quella che quando la coccoli ti guarda negli occhi ed ha uno sguardo languido e liquido che ti scioglie (salvo a volte schizzare tipo cobra per mordicchiarti il naso)... Sembrava la più intraprendente e coraggiosa ed invece è la più fifona... quella che quando ci sono altri cani è coraggiosa solo in quanto spalleggiatrice della sorella.... Insomma, se fosse da sola, sarebbe sicuramente la più semplice da gestire!!!!

Olivia, who seemed the most terrible,  is quite quiet (but she also has her tipical Aussies dashes) and cuddly, but at the same time the "roughest"... the one which prefers mostly to lay in the garden with every kind of climate (while her sister prefers the sofa and the home warmth)... she is the the most voracious and the most obedient... she also causes several damages (she is the boss of the "emptying vases and plants destroying"  commando) but when you reprimand her she obeys and she regrets!!! She is the one which when you cuddle her, looks into your eyes and has such a languid and liquid gaze that you liquefy yourself (beside, at times, leaping as a cobra, to nibble at your nose)... She seemed the most intraprehendent and brave and instead she is the cowardest... the one which, when there are other dogs, is brave only as supporter of her sister...Therefore, had she been alone, she would have surely been the easier to manage!!!!

Pepa è PROBLEMATICA... ma non perchè timidina e paurosa come sarebbe sembrato... lei è la vera femmina alfa della situazione!!!! Lei è quella che comanda... quella che quando torni a casa deve accoglierti per prima al cancello, mentre la povera Oly aspetta davanti alla porta... Lei è la più coraggiosa e intraprendente... quella che va in avanscoperta... quella che quando è stata atterrata da un maschio adulto non si è sottomessa nemmeno per un secondo (e, per fortuna che lui, avendola individuata come cucciolo e femmina, non l'ha morsa)... quella che una ne pensa e mille ne combina... che va in giro per la casa o il giardino cercando qualcosa da distruggere... quella che quando la sgridi non gliene può fregare di meno... che ti guarda di sottecchi e cerca di fare comunque quello per cui la stai sgridando e, quando capisce che non è proprio aria, allora ti tira fuori lo sguardo da "Gatto con gli stivali di Shreck" e ti fa sciogliere....

Pepa is PROBLEMATIC... but not for being shy and timorous as it seemed... she is the real alpha female of the situation!!! She is the one who command ... the one that when you come back home must be the first to welcome you at the gate, while poor Oly has to wait in front of the door... she is the bravier and more intraprehendent... the one who goes for reconnaissance... the one which, when she was grounded by an adult male, didn't submit herself for a second (and, fortunately he, having identified her as a puppy and a female, didn't bite her)... the one which is always up to someting... the one who goes around for the house and the garden searching for something to destroy... the one which, when you reprimand her doesn't care at all... the one which steals a glance at you and goes on doing what you are complaining about, and when she understands that it isn't really the case now, then she gets out the "Shreck's Puss in boot" look and gets at your heart....

Eh si perchè se Olivia è, come dicevamo, molto più coccolona... la più tenera alla fine è Pepa... e la "figliol prodiga"... quella che si fa perdonare tutto per quanto è buffa e leccaculo.... Olivia ti sveglia la mattina accoccolandosi vicino a te e leccandoti dolcemente il viso (e, non ci cerderete, ma da quando mi sveglia lei al mattino io mi alzo molto più di buon umore).... Pepa arriva come un treno e cerca di infilarsi sotto le coperte per andare a leccarti i piedi. (lei è la sorella feticista appassionata di furti si scarpe e leccamento di piedi) oppure ti si lancia addosso e, comodamente seduta sul tuo petto (comodamente per lei... un po' meno per te) comincia a leccarti la faccia come se non ci fosse un domani e tenta pure di morderti le orecchie... Olivia in tutto e per tutto una patata, Pepa una disperazione che, anche quando le fai le coccole (che comunque adora) mantiene sempre negli occhi dolci un guizzo da furbetta... Olivia è la più composta e pacata, Pepa è sguaiata ed invasata.... 
Insieme sono una vera e propria associazione a delinquere... ma è bellissimo osservare la loro sorellanza.... così diverse, ma, allo stesso tempo così uguali.... quando non sono impegnate a combinar guai passano il tempo a giocare, litigare e coccolarsi... ma di questo parleremo un'altra volta!!!!

Yes... because if Olivia is, as we were saying, more cuddly... the lovely-dovey in the end is Pepa... she is the "prodigal son"... the one who makes you forgive her everything for how much she is clowny and toady.... Olivia awakes you in the morning curling up straight to you and licking sweetly and delicately your face... Pepa comes as a train and try to go under the blanckets to lick your feet (she is the feticist sister with a real passion for stealing shoes and licking feets) or she trows herself on you and, comfortably sitting on your brest (comfortly for her not so much for you) starts licking your face like there is no tomorrow trying also to bite your years... Olivia is just a boiled potato, Pepa a desperation who, even when you cuddle her (and she loves cuddles) keeps in her sweet eyes a hint of smartness.... Olivia is the most well mannered and quiet, Pepa is the most unbecoming and possessed...
Together they are a real "criminal conspiracy"... but it is beautiful to look at their sisterhood... so different, but, at the same time, so alike... when they are not involved in causing harm, they spend their time playing, struggling and cuddling each other... but we will talk about this another time!!!!

Oggi  un post che sto rimandando da troppo tempo... ovvero una presentazione come si deve delle nostre due piccole pesti!!!
Il problema è che non so da che parte cominciare.... mi sembra di avere milioni di cose da raccontarvi... vabbè vorrà dire che andrò a ruota libera con le prime cose che mi vengono in mente...
Sicuramente, se avessi scritto questo post appena le abbiamo portate a casa, sarebbe stato completamente diverso...
Quando siamo andati a conoscerle nel campo in cui sono nate... erano due topini minuscoli di appena due mesi... ed è stato amore a prima vista!!!

Hi everybody!!!!

Today a post that I'm postponing since too long... that is an introduction, as it should be, to our two little pe(s)ts!!!

The problem is that I don't kwow where to start... I feel like having a thousand things to tell you... so let's go random with the first things that come to my mind...

Certainly, if I had written this post as soon as we brought them home, it would have been completely different....

When we went to know them in the field where they were born... they were two little puppets only two months old... and it was love at first sight!!!

Nonostante fossero sorelle Pepa (quella beige) era più piccina e bellina e sembrava la più timidina e spaventata... continuava a nascondersi negli anfratti più piccoli e più assurdi... prenderla era un'impresa e, quando ci riuscivi, aveva un'aria di sopportazione terrificata clamorosa!!!!

Olivia (quella nera), invece, era un botolino buffissimo e simpaticissimo (con una testolona che sembrava non aver nulla a che fare con il resto del corpo), che voleva proprio essere adottato a tutti i costi... continuava a venire scodinzolando a farsi coccolare... e quando tentavi di accarezzare la sorella lei le si buttava letteralmente sopra per rubarsi le coccole!!!!

Despite being sisters Pepa (the beige one) was the smallest and the aestethically nicest and she seemed more shy and frightened... she kept on hiding in the smallest and most absurd holes... catching her was really difficult and, when you finally got her, she was showing a spirit of loudly terrified endurance!!!!
Olivia (the black one), instead, was a funny little mongrel very likeable (with a head that really doesn't match with her body) which really wanted to be adopted at all costs... she kept on coming wagging her tail to receive cuddles... and when you tried to caress her sister she litterally threw herself on her to steal cuddles!!!

Quindi è stato chiaro già da subito (anche se in maniera piuttosto differente da come poi si sono rivelate) che Pepa sarebbe stata la più problematica da gestire e Olivia quella più semplice ed equilibrata!!!
Secondo voi quale abbiamo scelto? Non ve lo dico... perchè poi tanto, una volta arrivati a casa, ci siamo resi conto che ormai non avremmo potuto fare a meno di nessuna delle due...
Proprio perchè sorelle ma così diverse... era impossibile sceglierne una a dispetto dell'altra!!!!

So it was immediately clear (even though in a rather different way from how they later revelead themselves) that Pepa would have been the most problematic to manage and Olivia the simpliest and equilibrated!!!
In your opinion which one we chose? I won't tell you... because anyway, once arrived at home, we realized that we couldn't do without neither of them...
Just because sisters but so differents... it was impossible to choose one in spite of the other!!!!

Così, dopo una settimana di riflessioni, ce le siamo portate a casa entrambe... in uno scatolone che sembrava enorme... e, in cui adesso, forse non entrerebbe nemmeno una sola delle due (non possiamo saperlo perchè lo hanno distrutto)!!!!

I primi giorni sembravano essere proprio come avevamo creduto... Pepa più difficile da gestire a causa della sua paura e timidezza, ma molto tranquilla... e Olivia una simpaticissima peste ma che, marachelle a parte (appena arrivata si è infilata per metà nella ciotola dell'acqua e nei giorni immediatamente seguenti ha cominciato subito a svuotar vasi), era molto più affettuosa, coccolona e di semplice gestione!!!

So, after a week of reflections, we brought them home both... in a large box which seemed enormous... and, in which now, perhaps not even one coud fit (we can't know it because they have destroyed it)!!!
In the first days they seemed just like we had thought... Pepa more difficult to manage because of her fear and shyness, but very calm... and Olivia a really funny pest but which, pranks apart (as soon as she arrived she entered for a half in the water bowl and she started emptying pots), she was more devoted, cuddly and more simple to manage!!!

Olivia era quella che cercava le nostre coccole, Pepa quella che le subiva... Olivia la più indipendente, Pepa quella che cercava sempre la sorella, soprattutto per dormirle appiccicata... Pepa quella che scappava, Olivia la bulletta che la faceva correre e poi la riprendeva tirandola per la coda (buffissime)!!!!
E adesso facciamo un salto di cinque mesi ed arriviamo ad oggi!!!
Come sono Pepa e Olivia?
Sicuramente, come avevamo pensato, Pepa è la più problematica e Olivia la più equilibrata (dove equilibrata è un eufemismo).... ma non esattamente come avremmo creduto... però, dato che questo post sta venendo davvero troppo lungo, ve lo racconto lunedi!!!!

Olivia was the one looking for our cuddles, Pepa the one who suffered them... Olivia the more indipendent; Pepa the one who was always looking for her sister, especially, for sleeping sticked to her... Pepa the one who escaped, Olivia the bully who made her run away and then caught her pulling her from the tail (so clownish)!!!
And now let's jump over 5 months and come to nowadays!!!
How Pepa and Olivia really are???
Surely, as we had thought, Pepa is the most problematic and Olivia the most equilibrated one... but not exactly as we had believed... but, since this post has become really too long, I'll tell you on monday!!!!
