Rootin' Tootin' Cowboy

Happy Monday everyone!  It's time for another fun challenge over at Karen's Doodles.  This week, It's All About The Kids. This is one of the very first images I have of Karen's and still one of my favs, it's called Rootin' Tootin' Cowboy.

April22_2012_KD_SSSC157

I have used some fun new papers from October Afternoon called Sarsparilla and the sketch from this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch.  I just rotated it so that the button would fit!

I'm off to vote in our provincial election today and tackle my laundry pile!  Hope you have a fantastic week and thank you for taking the time to pop by!

Happy Crafting!

~Make It For A Male

Welcome to Monday!!   I missed our challenge post as it was our year end skating carnival and there just weren't enough hours in the day, but I wanted to share my card with you and use it as a mid-challenge reminder.

April2_2012_KD_SALS

I have used On The Run from Karen's Doodles for my image.  I haven't added a sentiment as this one will be going in my card stockpile.  I never have enough male cards, but at least I can add this one to my card bin:-)

I have used the sketch from Seems A Little Sketchy for my layout along with some fun Fly A Kite papers from MME.  I did leave off the flower or whatever embellishment that works because it just didn't work with my image panel, but other than that, it doesn't follow the sketch!

So be sure to pop on over to the Karen's Doodles Challenge Blog to see some wonderful cards for the males in our lives!  Then whip up your creation for your chance to win:

1st - 3 images of your choice plus the card of the week blinkie
2nd - 2 images of your choice
3rd - 1 image of your choice.

Then head on over to the One Crazy Stamper Challenge blog and play along with our April- Male Cards challenge!
Have a Happy Monday!!

February12_2012_KD98_PC107

I used Happy Feet Woman from Karen's Doodles store for my image and just clipped a wee piece from the Lie Of The Party paper pack from MME and used that for my sentiment!  I thought it worked with the cupcakes and all for a birthday card.

I used the fun sketch from The Pixie Cottage for my layout.  The Pixie Cottage's challenge is 2 parts..one the sketch and this week, RED is the option, so I took advantage of that and really used some red!

Be sure to visit our Karen's Doodles Challenge blog as we have just welcomed 5 new and very talented designers to our team and would love for you to meet them!  Now remember, you do not have to use a Karen's Doodles image, but she has so many wonderful ones to choose from AND you could win top prize if you do, so why not!!

Skater Girl

***Be sure to scroll down for some A Latte Love***
Monday...again, oh how you reappear so quickly!!  We are back with a Karen's Doodles challenge again and it's a fun one...Paper Piecing!  I have to admit, I don't paper piece very often with digis images, but it was fun and really not so difficult, so I hope you will join us this week!!
January15_2012_KD_SSSC

My image is called Skater Girl and is from Karen's Doodles online shop.   The sketch is from this week's Sweet Stop Sketch...on time I might add:-)
I didn't add a sentiment at all as this card is for one of the figure skaters in our club who broke her leg on Thursday at skating.  We are having all of our other figure skates sign the card and have a super cute purple puppy stuffed animal and a balloon bouquet for her to make her smile!

Be sure to visit the Karen's Doodles challenge blog for a ton of fabulous Paper Piecing inspiration!  We are also having a design team call, so be sure to read up on that and apply to join our fabulous team!

Happy Crafting!

Ho Ho Ho

Hello, hello!  We are on our Christmas holiday break and it's so nice to get to sleep in.  Both my kiddos have had a tummy bug since Thursday, so that has not been fun.  They seem to be on the mend today and for that I am thankful.

It's Monday, so that means we have a fun new challenge for you on the Karen's Doodles challenge blog.  We would like to see Spots & Stripes on your creations this time.

December18_2011_KD94_TT_SSS139
I have used the super cute Santa Dog from Karen's Doodles fro my image and my sketch is from Sweet Stop Sketches.  This week there is a spin and that is to use chipboard...my letters are sparkly white chipboard by Heidi Swapp.  I am also going to enter this over on the Touch Twin Challenge blog as well, their challenge is Furry Friends and this guy fits in perfectly.

I will be back a wee bit later to catch up with the Di's Digi Challenge post that I missed on the weekend that I missed when my kiddos were hugging the toilet.

Happy Crafting for you all this week!

Quote It~SSSC141

Happy Monday!  We had a wonderful weekend... Saturday was busy but great!  I hosted a card workshop featuring CTMH Wonderland papers and then my mom, Kirsten & I went shopping for Landon's birthday...he'll be 6 on the 3rd and I can't believe my lil cowboy is almost 6!  Sunday was a hang out day, love those!

So here we are back at Monday, so that means it's time for another wonderful challenge over at Karen's Doodles.  This week our challenge to you is Quote It...so create based on a quote or use a quote on your card.

October30_2011_KD_SSSC141

I love The Lion King movie, it's one of my favs and I always seems to be saying "no worries" so I chose Hakuna Matata, which means no worries!  This lady doesn't look like she has a worry in the world and thought it was fitting for my card.  She is called Happy Feet Woman and is available in Karen's store, along with about 300 other super fabulous, must have images!

I have used Karen's Sweet Sketch Sunday from yesterday for my layout along with some older Bella papers from CTMH as well.

Halloween night tonight, Kirsten skates and then we are headed over to friends for dinner and then we will take the kiddos out and about for some trick or treating!  Happy Halloween everyone, have a safe and fun trick or treating night!

Bigsby Christmas Stocking~ SS

Monday again!  We had a busy weekend, Friday night Lance and two friends helped sort cow/calves to get ready for our calves to sell on Saturday, so I cooked them up a steak dinner after all their work was done!  Then Saturday was sale day, so we were all off to the auction mart for that..however, Kirsten and I did duck out a bit early in hopes we wouldn't smell like the stockyards!  We scooted and got groceries and then I made homemade pasta sauce with a flat and two bags of tomatoes from the garden of a friend of our family.   So quickly the weekends fly by.  So here we are at Monday again already!

October16_2011_KD_SS

Our Karen's Doodles challenge for you this week is Animal Antics.  Show us your crazy critters!  As long as your creation has an animal as part of the main image, you're good to go.  Now as always, you do not have to use a Karen's Doodles image, but if you have 'em why not use 'em!

You could win :
1st - 3 images of your choice plus the card of the week blinkie (card of the week and 1st prize only eligible for entries featuring a KD image)
2nd - 2 images of your choice
3rd - 1 image of your choice.

Karen is having a bit of a problem at the moment with her domain, but is working to get it resolved, so in the mean time, why don't you pop on over to the challenge blog to check out the fabulous work by my teammates!

I have used the fabby sketch from Sketch Saturday as well for my layout and some yummy JillyBean Soup papers, liquid applique and square rhinestones on my card.

I hope you have a super week and have a chance to do some crafting!
