Good Day !!

First as usual in my Bahasa Melayu Pasar and then in my broken English.

Seronok tengok sahabat2 tunjuk mereka nye Metallica Deluxe Black Album 30 Tahun yang versi 3cd tu kat wassap. Aku takde, aku kureng sikit Black Album ni, rasanya aku tak pernah memiliki cd studio nye pun, apa aku masih ingat dalam otak aku bila beli kaset tahun 1991 tu la dia...

Tapi tidak disangkal Metallica secara live aku paling minat zaman Black Album 1991-1994 gitu. Dengan Jason Newstead hebat sungguh, MENERAJUI BAND,  dari apa segi sekalipun, Dengan dia menyumbangkan suaranya sebagai " Backing Vocals " terhebat untuk aku, dan jugak vokals utama.

Aku suka Jason. Hahaha.

WALAUBAGAIMANA PUN 30 Tahun ni... Aku pun nak raikan jugak... So ni caranya aku rai.

Aku masuk Itunes dan aku beli ni enam lagu dari dalam full boxset Black Album yang ada 11 cd tu.

Aku bayar, beli ni enam lagu. Aku rasa ni 6 lagu meliputi apa terbaik dari Deluxe Black Album yang ada 11cd, 4dvd, berapa keping LP, buku2, buku tebal buku tipis dan sebagainya.....

Aku memilikinya, kerana... kerana ni adalah album kegemaran aku dalam sejarah Metallica dan memang hebat sejarah dan rakaman2 live zaman tersebut.

ok balik kepada berbual pasal Black album deluxe ni kenapa aku beli ini 6 lagu aje. dan bukan apa2 bentuk fizikal.

1. Enter Sandman Freddie Mercury nye show Wembley Stadium. Aku memang suka persembahan ini, bunyik Metallica untuk persembahan ini - dan kat intro tu ada suara Brian May, Roger Taylor dan John Deacon perkenalkan band.

2. Nothing Else Matters Freddie Mercury nye tribute jugak - again, aku suka sound kat rakaman ini. So aku bayar la sekali. 

Ni semua aku beli kat itunes, lepas tu aku convert jadi mp3. Jadi aku boleh dengar pakai Walkman aku masa jalan kaki or dalam pengangkutan awam.

3. Nothing Else Matters (James Hetfield RIFF TAPE) - ni kira James Hetfield sorang2 main Nothing Else Matters waktu dalam proses pembikinan lagu ni. EMPAT MINIT BELIAU SYOK SENDIRI. Aku pun rasa syok sangat... So again, aku membeli " lagu " ini.

Dia ada nyanyi sikit, lepas tu dia masuk solo. Dah boleh nampak la lagu ni dah nak siap gitu...

4. My Friend of Misery (Jason Newstead RIFF TAPE) - Tak tipu... ini satu rakaman ni adalah bernilai paling beharga la pada aku dalam beratus lagu kat Deluxe Boxset ni.  Sebab tu aku beli "pembikinan lagu" ni. Aku sanggup bayar. haha.

Jason sorang2 main bass intro dan bahagian lain My Friend of Misery ni. kalau korang dengar live bass solo Jason zaman ni, adalah dalam ni segmen2 ni.

UNTUK AKU, INI ADALAH SATU LAGU BY ITSELF, lagu Instrumental solo Jason...

tapi takpelah. at least live beliau boleh solo jugak lagu ni.

5. Thru the Never (Oakland, California 1991 October ) kenapa aku beli lagu ni? Pasal aku nak lagu ni versi live dimainkan Jason dalam bentuk rasmi. Aku takde... aku nak bentuk " official " release la kira.

6. Of Wolf and Man (May 1993 Manheim Germany) - sama jugak, aku nak versi live rasmi DIMAINKAN JASON pasal aku takde dalam bentuk lagu rasmi rilisan Metallica.

Selain tu...  aku meraikan ngan mendengar kembali rakaman2 rasmi Metallica ada kena mengena ngan zaman Black Album ni..

Ni semua aku beli dari Livemetallica. Rasanya sumber2 ni semua ialah dari soundboard Metallica sendiri dan diproses oleh HQ mereka sebelum dijual kembali bentuk mp3, flac lossless dan jugak cetakan cd.

 Sangat hebat Jason dari bunyik nya dan suara dia, sangat hebat Metallica zaman ini. Dan ni zaman Nothing Else Matters belum dimainkan lagi. Lagu2 Black Album masih fresh. Band sungguh bertenaga.

22 track dalam rakaman ini. Best kesemuanya.... Waktu mereka mula2 nak jadi rockstar betul2 punya.

Keistimewaan rakaman ni, sangat senyap bunyik penonton padahal mereka main di event outdoors. Dan apa boleh diketahui dari rakaman ni James Hetfield sendiri cakap " you are fuckin crazy ", 

tapi bagusnya takde bunyik penonton, ialah... macam dengar Metallica main live dalam studio.

Korang bayangkan Harvester of Sorrow... SENYAP 16 SAAT masa kat tengah, pasal takde bunyi penonton. AKU SUKA GILER PERSEMBAHAN LAGU NI KAT RAKAMAN LIVE NI.

Hi... Just a bit of Talk Cock to celebrate Metallica Black Album 30 Years version releases of different formats.

No... I didnt purchase any physical releases.

I just bought 6 songs off Itunes and convert it to Mp3 for my listening pleasure.

The Nothing else Matters (James Riff Tapes) and My Friend of Misery (JASON RIFF TAPES) are simple incredible recordings.

Its superb Metallica include those two for the hearing of people who listen to Metallica (selectively LOL !!!!!!).

Yes as can be seen above photos and whatever you can make out of it, 

I AM A BIG FAN OF METALLICA LIVE 1991-1994 when they are playing Live.

I am so thrilled and amused by Jason during this period.

Unfortunately, not all Black album songs are played by Metallica when Jason was around.

And when they really do play every song from it live, Jason is no more around.

Well..... Sad But True.

Salam semua /Good day all.

So belated Happy 32nd Birthday to " dot dot dot And Justice For All " album. In 1988 on release and the cassette arrived at where I am, I bought the cassette tape, the tape is long gone, but I still keep the amazing inlet with such long panels.

AS USUAL I WILL TALK COCK FIRST IN BAHASA MELAYU, FOLLOWED BY MY BROKEN ENGLISH.

and then in 2018 I upgraded to these. LOL!!

 lambat sikit.. tiap kali depan laptop nak buat blog, last2 surf internet ke lain. haha.

tapi takpe, saje je nak tunjuk betapa minat giler aku kat album Metallica ...And Justice For All ni.. 7hb September 1988 dikeluarkan, sekarang dah 32 tahun. Dulu keluar je aku beli kaset original nya, tu la kaset dah lama dah takde, tapi inlet kaset nya aku masih simpan, tu foto atas tu.. So selepas tahun2 berikut nya aku dengar ke cd tapi aku tak beli, tu jam aku dapat free, ada kawan trade bootlegs tu jam kasi aku percuma versi Jepun, ada lagu extra The Prince.

Lepas tu dua tahun lepas, 2018 keluar boxset besar gedabak sambut 30 tahun gitu ...And Justice For All. Aku kan minat jadi terus aku beli la satu, kira UPGRADE la, sebenarnya aku tak bukak dan pasang apa2 pun, kerana setiap lagu (lebih 100++ lebih lagu dalam boxset ni) baik dari rakaman2 live dari merata tempat zaman tersebut, dan lp2 tu semua dalam kotak diberi PASSWORD KATA KUNCI, jadi boleh di download dari website Metallica untuk pembeli, SENANG HIDUP AKU TAK YAH RIP SATU SATU masuk Walkman,... Serious berbual rasanya aku belum abis dengar.  Tapi sungguh menarik live2 mereka zaman2 tersebut, ngan Jason rakaman ramakan live sangat hebat solo2 dan jugak dia nye one man show masa agak anggota Metallica tengah minum air ke lap peluh... 

Yang DVD nye tu semua, aku tak minat sangat nak tengok. Mungkin lain kali,

 aku tengok belek sekali dua buku tebal hardcover 100+ mukasurat pun tak baca habis pun, tengok tengok gambar dan baca mana yang mustahak aje... cam komen2 engineers dan mixers pasal kenapa takde bunyi bass Jason Newsted. tapi al-maklum ni band ialah milik James Hetfield dan Lars Ulrich, suka hati mereka la nak buat apa dengan band mereka ni. Kita peminat dengar je kalau suka, tak suka tak dengar. Tapi aku tak pedulik apa pun aku minat giler album ... And Justice For All ni. lepas lebih 30 tahun hati aku masih berdebar dengar lagu Harvester of Sorrow. Sedap. Kira semua lagu sedap la, tak payah banyak colok.

Ooo dah terakhir, aku ni ada sikit " OVER GILER " pasal album ni jadi sini aku cuma nak cakap.. nama album ni ada " dot dot dot " tiga titik kat depan tu jangan lupa. Ini ialah sebagian ayat Ikrar Rakyat Amerika dan ia bukan pembuka ayat.. ok enjoy tengok gambo2.

So... me being anal about this album.. really need to emphasis that " dot dot dot " in front of the album title. That is how this album is supposed to be called.

This is surely my favourite Metallica album. Probably second favourite could be HARDWIRED.

Thru the years I have constantly listen and explore the different live versions played, and the 2018 deluxe boxset was anticipated and I got a copy. Thanks to the Metallica downloads, i dont actually open every item inside. I have never viewed the 4 DVDS included.

Yes, besides the 4 DVDS there are 11 cds, full of live recordings and shows through out the late 1980s era, demos and whatever, plus 6 nice looking vinyl records. NICELY PACKAGED of course.

 Plus a 100+ pages hardcover of everything to do with the making of this album, the producer, the engineers, the mixers, the artwork artist, and photographers comments and interviews....

So you got detailed and juicy " from the horse's mouth " interviews from those in the studios (mixing engineers) about the Jason Newsted's missing/lack off bass sound.

Plus so much more , Pushead ideas, Ross Halfin, the stories and magazines cuttings and amazing photos from that era, the handwritten notes and whatever.. THIS IS A VERY DETAILED AND WORTH IT BOXSET TO HAVE if you love ... and justice for all.

So this is more photos of me unboxing again this box again to take some photos for this blogs...

As can be seen, the songs collection inside this boxset.... Luckily there is a free download version from Metallica, So I save time ripping everything for my walkman.

Dehaan (METALLICA using another name plays Kill Em All in full ) 8th June 2013 Detroit live CD.

OK, Salam and Greetings. As usual first in English and then lots of talk cock in Bahasa Melayu Malay Language.

I enjoyed listening to the Hardwired To Self Destruct album, and I really love the Metallica show in Singapore supporting the then just released Hardwired album.

So it kind of rekindles my affection for Metallica big time and seeing them with Rob Trujilo live on the last two of their tours here I cannot deny METALLICA sounds so good live with Rob. Yes, Jason Newstead is sadly missed but its their band they can do what they like, if a fan do not like it, he can vote with his money and his time.

So I got myself an official LIVE METALLICA cd of Deehan.
I will give my short opinion review and photos of the packaging for those who have never seen the packaging...



Deehan logo is covering the Metallica logo on the cover..

It features the current foursome, and on the first day of the Orion Festival 2013,
June 8, Detroit Michigan.
it was scheduled as a band called Deehan, but its actually Metallica and they play the full Kill Em All album.

The sound is very good on this official cd. I like it. I really think this is a very fun and happy performance.
There is a pro-shot video on youtube but I dont really have time to sit down and watch it, I only listen to music, and I listen to music on the go using headphones while walking and on public transport so the audio is important to me. Visuals not so, if I want, I try to see the band live.

This is some of the reasons why I buy the original release for listening pleasure:
- I like the studio album so I want a full live album version of the same album.
No matter how you look at it, its impossible to find a live recording with all the songs played. So this is it.
- Four Horsemen is in full. Yes... in full with all the middle parts.
- No Remorse is in full as in FULL. I really have a fetish for this song. LOL!!! ATTACK!!!!!!!!!
- Pulling Teeth Anesthesia in full first time since 1986 final show of the Sweden show before the accident of Cliff Burton.

OK OK.. tukar cenel....

DEHAAN ni kan, korang semua tahu kan pasal band ni, ni Metallica guna nama ni kat jadual waktu festival Orion 2013 hari pertama.
Tapi ada dorang tinggalkan clue gitu... so kalau sapa tahu, tahu la, sapa tak tahu tak tahu la depan pentas yang dijadualkan..

Jadi Dehaan ni nama pelakon pilem Metallica tu yang filem wayang tu.
So Metallica sambut Kill Em All 30 Tahun dengan main semua lagu dalam Kill Em All.
Jadi banyak lagu rare jangan di bawa, dan lagu2 tu semua dimain penuh, mana yang celah celah dalam lagu tu semua dorang main cam lagu Four Horseman kat tengah tu, No Remorse penuh, Phantom Lord siap ada intro tape, dan semua lain2 jugak.
Bass Solo Take One tu dimainkan pertama kali sejak last Cliff Burton main sebelum eksiden dia mati kena hempap bas.
Cuma Rob terus masuk mula bass solo, patut tunggu cakap "Bass Solo Take One" dulu kan...

Kira seronok ler dengar rakaman ni. Ada la lawak2 James Hetfield berbual dengan penonton.

So aku beli la rakaman rasmi ni, maklum berita banyak cakap Metallica rugi besar pasal buat festival Orion ni. Support sikit si Metallica ni... hahaha.

Metal Militia, Jump In The Fire, Motorbreath, dan lagu2 lain... No Remorse memang lagu kegemaran aku... ATTACK gitu kan... so senyum sorang2 dengar rakaman ni masa tunggu bas kat bus stop. HAHA.

K dah tu je.. nanti sambung k. Tengok la kalau aku dapat Black Sabbath Live last kopek tu ngan Iron Maiden live chapters tu aku berbual kons pasal tu semua dulu,

"LIVE METALLICA" official 2cds of the shows for Jan 22, 2017 & Aug 24, 2013 and how the packaging looks like

Let me talk-cock in Bahasa Melayu first before ends in English.
(The Bahasa Melayu version is quite long this time because its full of gossip. LOL!!)

- Selepas "euphoria" dimana peminat rock melayu dimana sahaja tentu meraikan bersama berlangsungnya persembahan PRIME DOMESTIC selama 2 jam ahad lepas, yang dimana PRIME DOMESTIC mempertabatkan dan mengingatkan kembali kegemilangan rock melayu didepan penonton melimpah ruah di ruah kecil yang dilaporkan penonton ialah 800 orang (??) yang datang. 
- (patutlah aku pun heran, tempat kecik, dan aku sampai kul 9 gitu, tapi sungguh heran, non-stop peminat keep on datang turun basement level, dan masa PRIME DOMESTIC beraksi, kat tangga2 penuh orang, dan kat atas ground level pun ada orang pasal dinding kaca kan so boleh nampak. Aku siap wassap Zan, show dah nak start, aku masih beratur panjang kat belakang nak tunggu cek tiket hahaha )
- Anyway, I will try to upload audio bootleg yang aku tape untuk show ni bila aku ada masa.
Aku dapat tape the whole show, untuk peminat2 PRIME DOMESTIC yang paham apa aku tape dan kenapa aku share live bootlegs rock melayu yang aku tape sendiri. Tolong jangan bastard bontot aku macam bila aku upload bootleg full show Kembara Mark 1 and Mark 2, beraksi di Istana Budaya, pasal menyusahkan sangat akaun aku tempehasuka666 di youtube. 

Maka dari rock melayu kita kembali kepada rock omputeh, dengan aku nak tunjukkan korang 2 bungkusan packaging LIVE METALLICA untuk show2 di Singapore tahun 2013 dan 2017.
Nak cakap ni OFFICIAL BOOTLEG DIRECT FROM SOUNDBOARD?? DEFINITELY NOT!!!, seperti style Deep Purple buat kat boxset boxset istimewa mereka pada awal tahun 2000an dulu tak boleh jugak.
Pasal aku speku, Metallica sangat prihatin kualiti maka cd2 live persembahan mereka di setiap tempat yang mereka beraksi, rakam dan jual kat peminat2 yang hadir pada malam tersebut atau siapa2 yang nak sesebuah persembahan kerana apa sebab pun,  maka mereka tidak terus ambil terus rakaman audio dari "soundboard" mereka, tetapi mereka masuk studio, edit dan REMIXED.
Jadi, boleh cakap la dah macam live album rasmi. Memang rasmi, tapi kualiti nya sangat baik.
Macam Matakucing cakap pasal Pearl Jam dan sebagainya,
apa aku tahu, satu masa dahulu, beberapa kumpulan muzik jual selepas show rakaman2 yang baru dipersembahkan pada malam tersebut.
Jadi kira - Soundboard > burn cdr > jual kat sapa nak secara rasmi.
Aku tahu KISS pernah buat gini.
Pearl Jam aku tak tahu dorang jual terus lepas show atau pre-order atau buat style Metallica, rakaman2 tu masuk studio dulu untuk Remixing.
Apa pun cakap lagi sikit...
- Nak dapatkan ni semua kena beli kat website METALLICA.COM untuk dapat versi cd atau versi digital download tapi tetap seronok pegang CD kat tangan ye tak?
Bila dah dapat rip MP3 sendiri la kan masukkan kat portable player masing2 nak dengar masa jalan kaki, naik bas, atau naik train.
- Bungkusan2 LIVE METALLICA ni memang canggih, Cantik dalam packaging kadbod yang berkualiti dan lawa designya.
- Kalau korang perasan LIVE METALLICA cd2 zaman dulu semua print hitam putih tapi untuk Singapore nye show ada warna MERAH. Pengsi abis.
- Dan design kat cd tu stylo kerana meniru kertas setlist bagi show tu sendiri, dengan boleh nampak kat kertas setlist tu lagu2 yang betul dimainkan malam tersebut.
So memang menarik la kan.

So for anyone curious about LIVE METALLICA cds at their official online store, this is how the packaging looks like for the physical cds.
As can be checked on the packaging the sound is remixed. Maybe that is the reason there is a waiting time between the shows and the dates the shows are released.
These are the two shows they played in Singapore in 2013 and 2017 and the 1993 show I guess is not available.
The 2017 show is part of the  World Wired Tour, and is special because the tour starts in Asia, and the last show was in Singapore. THE NEW SONGS ARE SO FRESH AND EXCITING.
The 2013 show is laden with dot dot dot AJFA stuff. Four songs including the 9min plus title track.

So thats about it. I was going thru the latest setlist of theirs and I think Chile Lollapaloza show has a pretty nice setlist. Maybe next time I would like to order shows that I find has nice songs that I like.

Pelakon Samuel L Jackson, dari zaman Die Hard 3, dari zaman Coming To America, lejen selejen nya filem GOODFELLAS,  filem2 Pulp Fiction yang paling gerek la tak boleh ditandingi karakter nye dalam filem tu, Avengers, Star Wars dengan light sabre warna Purple dia, DJANGO unchained dengan watak paling evil, dan Snake On The Plane, dan cerita jaws Deep Blue Sea dan apa je la..
dan jugak katun INCREDIBLES yang dia jadi watak boleh jadikan air jadi air batu tu. HAHA.
Watak serious, kelakar, hero, jahat, semua dia pegang dan memang boleh cakap la, mana2 film yang ada letak nama Samuel L Jackson je, ORANG AKAN TENGOK!!! haha.

2. Incoming - Rasa ramai tahu, setiap show Metallica, dorang akan rakam, lepas tu MIXED, dan jual kat peminat, samada yang pergi show tu atau sapa2 yang nak khas sesebuah rakaman show untuk apa sebab pun. So, tu hari aku try la, beli satu, show Singapore untuk bulan August 24hb 2013.
Dahsyat sound dia, ni bukan macam official bootleg, tapi dah macam live album kualiti dia...
Nanti la lain kali review...

3. Blaze Bailey, dari dulu aku puji manjang je beliau ni. Seorang bekas penyanyi Iron Maiden, penyelamat Maiden waktu huru hara zaman 90an, seorang yang rata2 baik hati dan mungkin kalaulah ramai orang dalam dunia hati murni macam dia, DAN TAK LUPA JUGA SESEORANG YANG NASIB MACAM KENTANG!!  Ada je masalah satu demi satu, tapi dia alrite.
Dan aku tak kenal dia, tapi dia antara orang mat salleh dalam hidup aku yang aku nak sangat berjaya dalam kerjaya dan kehidupan peribadi.
Dia diminta oleh TEAMROCK untuk cerita dan pilih 10 lagu Iron Maiden yang dia takde kena mengena penghasilannya, dan tulis kenapa dia suka.

2. METALLICA, and the fever has not died down after their REVIVAL inside my heart,
with their amazing new album, and their live in Singapore show in January 2017 which I have nothing but praises.

So I tried purchasing one of their official live cds which they sell at their STORE.
As a form of memory, and certainly the Singapore 2013 shows has a very nice setlist quite heavy with ...AJFA stuffs.
The sound is awesome and mixed. 
AND THE PACKAGING SUPERB.
I had pre-ordered the Singapore show, I think the cover is pretty sweet.

3. BLAZE BAILEY, I surely love this singer, love his character, wishing him the best in his musical career and his personal life.
If you go thru my blog, or the labels, you guys can see how much I try to support his solo works as much as possible, depending on my budget LOL!!!
But its always nice... he signs your name on certificates, and book, and cds and whats whats.

So I think he was asked to choose 10 songs from Iron Maiden he was not involved in.
THE RESULT IS PURE POETRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing words , beautiful narration, such love and respect he has for the band.

I am sure, he will be there on stage with the other 6 guys before Maiden call it a day. And I want to be there. Maybe the new Olympic Stadium in London? (WEST HAM UNITED new home).

Former Wolfsbane and Iron Maiden singer Blaze Bayley is about to embark on an absolutely epic tour. We asked him to choose his favourite Iron Maiden songs... that Bruce Dickinson sang 

"My hero was Ronnie James Dio," Blaze Bayley told Classic Rock last year. "He worked until he died. And that’s what I intend to do. All that matters now is that I just keep going. For me, that is the dream.”

The former Iron Maiden and Wolfsbane man is true to his word. He's currently a few dates into an epic European tour that leapfrogs across Europe from The Balkans to The Baltic, criss-crossing the continent from Spain to Scandinavia via all points in-between, including a performance at the inaugural Heavy Scotland festival in April (full dates below).

There's 73 shows on the schedule, calling in at rock clubs in towns so far off the beaten track you find yourself checking Google to confirm their existence (and yes, there really is a club named after Lemmy in Kaunas, Lithuania's second-largest city). And there's not a personalised 747 in sight.

We asked Blaze to come up with a list of his favourite Iron Maiden songs... that he didn't sing on. And he came up with poetry.

Blood Brothers

So many beautiful melodies and a melancholy vibe. I like this song so much I did my own acoustic version with Thomas Zwijsen. It feels so sad and so big and dramatic, and for me is one of the best maiden songs ever. If I want to introduce someone with no idea — or the wrong idea — about metal, this is the song I play them. This one song, above all others, proves Steve Harris is a songwriting genius.

The Wicker Man

Every big lovely powerful Maiden thing I love packed into a glorious 4 minute 37 second package. I was actually asked to perform this song at the wedding of a huge Maiden and Blaze Bayley fan. I loved singing it, and feeling the big ooohs and chorus with my own voice was so nice.

Anyone should try to sing songs they like. You don't have to be good at singing. Don't worry about what other people think! It's the truest and best connection and expression of any song that moves you: Your own voice feeling the melody and the lyric in your body, and then moving it through the air as your own emotion. We all know this when we're at a concert and live and shine with our own voice, as part of the huge voice of the crowd, lifting each one of us higher than we can reach on our own.

The Wicker Man pulls me to a small Scottish island and makes me play the fool before I am burned alive. It is the curse of this love: that even if I knew what was waiting for me, I would still go gladly to my doom because of this music.

Wasted Years

Truth is here. A girl in Monterey, Mexico sang this softly to me in the hotel hoping it would be in the set list because it was her favourite Iron Maiden song. It wasn't. I never had the chance to perform this giant song live while I was the band.

When you find a truth — a deep universal truth — something that everyone has felt, and put that into a lyric, then find the melody to bring that lyric to life, then find the music that tells people these emotions are real. That's when you have the elements to create immortality in music. This song could never win a Grammy award because it is simply too real and too beautiful. All other Grammy Winners would be shown up to be egotistical self-important fakes or just very ordinary compared to a band that survived the World Slavery tour. Loneliness and regrets and missing home and feeling helpless and always moving somewhere, but never moving in the direction of home, and when you're with them at home, the ones you miss now so much, you were waiting for something else, you weren't really there at all, and know you cant be there. You understand but it is too late. So understand, and realise you are living in the golden years. I often have this song in my acoustic set. It feels big, raw, emotional and true.

The Trooper

This is greatness. This is legend. This is death. As I lay forgotten and alone, lost to all I loved and who loved me, my death is meaningless. The power and rhythm of the young men that cast this cruel spell over a million other men was undeniable. We were seduced by the power, enslaved by the rhythm, and sacrificed on a new wave of idolatry. I saw them and worshipped them at Birmingham Odeon where they made me a power slave. Again when I was lost somewhere in time. If you have never listened to this song, then I beg of you, do not listen to it now. Those of us who have are not as we were before. We cannot go back. Everything where you are now is ordinary. We have heard greatness. We have seen it. We know its name. We have fallen under its spell, and we are in love with it.

Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter

Fun can be bloodcurdling.

Infinite Dreams

It has no proper chorus and so sets itself free of any conventional song writing rules that I am aware of. An idea loyal and true to itself. Anguish melancholy and questioning your own existence and your god. A perfectly building nightmare. The shades and tones of Bruce Dickinson on this song define magnificent. The lyric is delivered on a melody that is irresistible until it becomes ominous. Then he lures me towards the centre of his nightmare.

Terrifying and gorgeous.

Aces High

An impossible song. Too fast. Too high. Too catchy. Too uplifting.

Popular with Maiden tributes, but very rarely can any of those happy-hearted hopefuls ever get close to the precision required to get near to the original album recording. It has alway felt to me that Iron Maiden were proving something to themselves with this song. I'm probably wrong and I've never had a conversation with any of the guys in the band that would back up or justify my opinion. But I stick with it anyway.

I like to imagine them in the rehearsal room being really fed up with Judas Priest and coming up the greatest song ever written about the Battle of Britain. There was a momentary space and time anomaly on the afternoon they wrote it. From 1940 Winston Churchill glimpses a possible future where five free British men gather to write a song celebrating victory. In 1984 five of the finest musicians Great Britain has ever produced feel Churchill's frustration as the future of our nation is almost lost. Churchill tells his cabinet ministers he will die spitting blood on the floor of the House of Commons rather than surrender. In the rehearsal room Steve Harris shouts across the room to his drummer, as the guitar solo approaches, faster Nico!

Nico finds the extra speed for the song, as the spitfires in the skies found the extra speed courage and determination to stop the evil that threatened to engulf Churchill and the country he led on those dark perilous days between July and October in 1940. We will never surrender.

Run To The Hills

The future is here. Back then. But now.

Listening to this as a young man on headphones on my parents stereo felt a little bit awkward . I started to have the feeling that this music would break the stereo, because it was so different to the Satchmo my father listened to. Dickinson was the future voice of maiden. It was 1982. This song still gives me some of the excitement of the first few times I heard it even now.

Hallowed Be Thy Name

A huge and powerful lament. The condemned man at the centre of this masterpiece does not protest his innocence. Instead, he admits his fear of his own imminent death and his dread of the unknown. As verses end the music takes through the agony of the the last seconds and to the final breath of the hanging man. The death rattle, and it leaves me with the feeling that there is a human soul that has escaped the tyranny and injustice of his age.

Iron Maiden

The Bruce Dickinson version, not the original studio version. Does what it says on the tin: Iron Maiden's gonna get ya, no matter how far.

Actually, they are going to do a UK Tour which unfortunately just miss out on the Iron Maiden UK Tour Dates,
I was actually trying to plan my backpacking trip to catch Maiden but then, I simply cannot match the dates up and I need more money and more time to cross Europe for DM.

Furthermore, its Muslim fasting month of Ramadhan. I hope to have a peaceful one this year, not the rumpus and craziness of last year ACDC, SABBATH , MAIDEN, RAINBOW, Doningtons... LOL!!

Metallica in Singapore WorldWired Tour 2017 ,22 January 2017

Singapore Kallang Indoor Stadium

Metallica starting their WorldWired Tour in Asia means we get a show with fresh songs.

Unfortunately they do not play more of their new awesome album.

Unfortunately still no Spit Out The Bone live

But still Singapore got SIX new songs just now. (YEAAHHHHH!!)

And FIVE from the Black album. FIVE? YES! FIVE.  (BOOOOOO !!!!! but dont worry I can still remember the lyrics to the songs played from this album LOL!!)

Halo On Fire sounds so good as a live song. Together with Atlas Rise and Moth Into Flame, I think these three songs are going to be new live classics.

The five backdrop LED monster screens are awesome. I first see the usage of these style of screens tilted in different direction screens when I saw ACDC play live using similar screens, but Metallica brings the usage to a new level. 

I was sitting down, bought the "peasants" price level seats,(Price of a Metallica front section standing ticket in Singapore is equivalent to 4-5 Iron Maiden shows front section that I can see if I backpack for the coming 2017 tour), but I had no complains and really enjoy watching Metallica fans having fun from where I was.

Its awkward sitting down to see a rock show. LOL!

Metallica plays for about two hours.

I think no Fuck/Fucking or any adult words use at all by James thru out, except for the "cut this shit off from me" and James was saying (Metallica) Family regularly. LOL!

Metallica has really grown mature and I like it.

Most important there is no "baby" word by James. I cringe every time when James utter that word from what I saw on youtube or something.

Jump In The Fire happened when James notice a front row fan with the monster mask.

So James ask him to wear it.

And then he starts the tease.

I think the place is nearly full? about 11000-12000 fans in the indoor stadium.

3rd Singapore show ever.

2nd time they played this venue. The other time was outdoor to a much larger capacity 30-40 thousand fans.

I have no issues with the sound just now, but it becomes a habit of mine to always compare other bands sounds, to what Maiden soundman can do.

(Donington 2016, Black Sabbath was playing in the pouring rain and I was further away and still they have such pristine super loud and clear sound, and although Maiden has a good sound on the next day on the same stage, I can sense a clear winner being it the same stage, same huge field, 24 hours different.)

So whats more to say of Metallica live just now? Go and see them on this tour.

Its fun, its a mass singalong karaoke session except for the new songs. LOL!...

I did not have time to see the Merchandise stand.

I arrived quite late.

I was actually working today even though its a Sunday, but on morning shift. So I can save a precious day leave. LOL!!

Salam Semua, baik aku type ulasan dan pendapat aku dan merapu merapu merapek meraban aku pasal Metallica main persembahan konsert untuk album baru mereka dengan World Tour bermula di Asia, dan giliran Singapura  pulak kat Stadium Tertutup Singapore 2017 ni dan apa je la tangan aku gatal nak taip.

Tangguh kang buat repot ni terus tangguh terus ke laut.

Anyway, yang kat atas omputeh tu aku cuba tulis lain2 kandungan, so thrill sikit la,

tak la sama boring kan cuma alih bahasa je...

Bacalah dua2.. 

Korang kerja shif mesti cam aku, kalau ada apa2 hal, kena cek rota kerja, hari apa hari apa dan apa shift ye tak?
Aku cek, alamak Metallica nye show aku kerja la,(Tapi ni bermakna aku konfem ada kat Singapore la, cam tu hari Malex main, aku off day so aku ada kat Malaysia la.. haha, gigit jari aku dah lama tak tengok band Malex main... best dorang). 

Ok Metallica ni, cek lagi, Selamat kerja pagi. Kalau tak, dua pilihan, ambik cuti dan ni membazir ok, membazir ok ambik cuti untuk Metallica, atau pujuk kawan kawan aku tukar shift dengan aku, tapi hari Ahad siak, dorang pun ada life ye tak. haha.

OK OK, so aku sampai lambat, sampai je, aku mesej kawan aku yang duk tempat lain " EH?? BUAT KALLANG WAVE LA!!!", hahaha, kira buat Mexican Wave.
Sapa tengok Iron Maiden tu hari 2011 tempat sama paham la apa aku cakap, yang diri kat bawah semua tengokkan yang kat tempat duduk buat WAVE.

Best la kan kalau tak boring siot.

So aku takde la nak tengok tshirt jualan kat merchandise stand.

Tapi kat MRT stesen sebelah tu, ada beberapa brader tengah jual tshirt Metallica.

Gitulah betapa kuatnya pukulan tarikan Metallica.

Mana ada kat Singapore orang jual tshirt bootleg sebelum konsert.

Kalau nak, gi Peninsular, lekas2 beli band tshirt korang nak gi tengok.

Tapi jarang la, kira takdelah bootlegging kalau band lain. Ni la dia pukulan Metallica.

So, setlist kat atas tu, memang aku harap Metallica main satu album penuh, non ado, cuma 6 lagu je. Spit Out The Bone takde. 

Wahh.. penuh siak staidum.. rasa seats semua sold out. Yang diri tu rasa nye macam sold out jugak. Ye la, mesti kena ada lobang lobang sikit kan, untuk kecemasan.

Aku ingat aku je "cheap skate" beli tiket murah.. Ala... MAT SALLEH semua ramai jugak duk seat murah. hoho.

Tapi semua fans ok.. lagu lama hidup. Seronok tau cam gini. Semua orang happy happy.

Aku tengokkan je yang minum beer, aku cam nak hasut, suruh lempar beer kat bawah. HAHAHAAH.

Temptation ok. Puaka paling besar gi rock konsert ialah balik rumah baju bau beer.

Tapi biar beer, jangan air kencing. HAHAHA. OK.... aku cakap ni pasal Donington, Hellfest ni semua tempat puaka ada perangai otak wayar kejap kena kejap tak kena.

OK OK, cerita pasal persembahan ye... apa aku nak cakap, ni Metallica.

Dah tahu dah show dorang macam mana kan.

Aku kurang sangat dengan Black Album, TETAPI, aku angkat tangan, aku sing-along lagu2 dari Black Album tadi.

Wherever I May Roam, dah berapa tahun tak dengar, tapi heran, aku boleh ingat segala lirik balik.

So maknanya ni lagu evergreen ye tak?

Aku kecewa, aku tak tengok liriks album baru lagi, kalau tak boleh nyanyi lebih.. ni aku tahu Atlas Rise je dan ulang2 Halo On Fire... tak rock la kan tak tahu lirik.

OOooo Halo On Fire, live dahsyat. OK lagi sekali DAHSYAT. Huruf besar.

Start slow James sorang2... baru lagu masuk.

Lagu ni kan dia punya time change. Giler ah..

Terbaik lagu ni.
Atlas Rise dah macam lagu2 lama dah respon peminat ye.

Moth Into Flame , Kirk nye gitar yang paling best lagu ni. Aku syok sendiri masa lagu ni.

Masa Jump In The Fire tu memang seronok tengok apa terjadi.

Aku kira tadi, 90% tengok pentas, kira apa la aku nampak dari jauh, dan 10% tengok penonton.

Seronok ye rupanya kalau kita duduk then kita tengok fans berdiri.

PUNYELAH HAPPENING, KECOH, HURRAY HURRAY.

Aku sampai wassap famili aku foto dari atas tu, aku cakap aku jeles, aku nak diri hurray huray kat bawah cam dorang jugak..
tapi apa kan daya, tiket Pen A, puaka... buncit la perut ko promoter.!!!!!

Memang rasa menyesal duduk, tapi apa nak buat. Tiket berdiri mahal nak mampos.

Aku biasa jugak tengok persembahan2 kat Indoor Stadium ni, sapa tak tahu, sini la tempat nya XPDC main headline act dua dua band lineup Brutal dan V6 selama tiga jam, dan SEARCH hanya sebagai pembukaan je. Double Trouble pun main sini.

Iron Maiden pun...

dan aku kira balik, apa show yang aku duduk eh tengok masa kat Kallang Indoor Stadium ni, ooo Dream Theater zaman Octavarium, Deep Purple untuk show album apa ntah, dan paling aku menyesal aku beli tiket murah dan sepatutnya aku beli tiket paling depan sekali. Masa Roxette main untuk XXX celebrations (bukan blue eh, tapi 30 years celebrations). Terbaik. I love you Pers and Marie. . haaha.

OOOO... Rob Trujilo ke hapa nama dia, dahsyat bass solo dia, dia kan macam suka kangkang2 kan?
tapi takde la tadi...

Aku suka lak tengok dia tadi. Kot dia dah kena lahar. "Sila kurangkan kangkang tu boleh tak?"

Sakit mata aku.

So tadi, wahhh dia nye bass solo, sudah cam bersimpul simpul tangan dia. Pengsi bass solo dia. Aku suka. 10/10.

Akhirnya aku rasa aku terima dengan sakit hati, Metallica dah kembali empat. HAHA.

Aku suka tengok Lars dengan James, sama macam Jon Bon Jovi, dorang menampakkan usia dorang makin meningkat makin matang. Aku suka. Aku suka tengok Lars tadi dan permainnya pun cam Lars yang aku minat. 10/10.

Kirk dengan gitar White Zombie dia... 10/10

dan of course James Hetfied. Superman, best rhythm player macam Nordin Search, cewaahh.. 10/10

HAHA... ye la ye la, aku mintak maaf aku kutuk2 Metallica tak agak2 dulu.

ONE memang cantik ye, persembahan cahaya dan laser dia, dan background video sojer sojer tu memang terbaik. (Si Baju Hijau sedang bertugas....)..
