Aku baru masih plan(angan2 mat jenin/yo-yo-oh/berfantasi syok sendiri) cammana aku nak rush backpacking sorang2 naik bas ekpress atau keretapi dari tengok ACDC main kat Manchester hari Khamis 9/6/16 ke Derby untuk Donington Download Festival pasal Motorhead akan main pentas utama Donington hari Jumaat 10/June/2016 dan aku speku dorang main kul 5 petang gitu pasal dorang 3rd from top pentas utama. (angan2 mat jenin dulu... apa2 pun benda2 rock gini kena angan2 mat jenin dulu LOL!!)

This is my favourite memory of what Lemmy & Motorhead means to me. LOL!! because I was there...
It was the second day of Download Festival at Donington Park 2013.
Motorhead was 3rd from top of the bill at Main Stage. Iron Maiden will headline the festival for that day later in the evening. (Iron Maiden lightning rigs on the ceiling & ramps behind the black curtains are all ready for the night if you see this video).
It was a life long rock n roll mission for me to hear and see Lemmy introducing "We Are Motorhead and We Play Rock N Roll".

This is a Pro-Shot during Killed By Death of that unforgettable day (Some of this show can be found on dvd on one of the Aftershock 2disc version. I had shown the packaging and content of that 2 disc version sometimes back? LOL!!).




Aku ingat tak ramai orang nak tengok Motorhead main, pasal Thunder masa sama main 2nd stage, dan pentas lain semua band2 gerek macam2 style.  HAH KAU!!! Ramai nak mampos mengadap Main Stage rupanya belakang aku.

Hari tu, Phil Animal Taylor dijemput ke pentas dan aku bilang aku tak tahu dia mabuk ke, dia berdengung,  ambik dadah ke, atau dia sakit, tapi macam dia tak tahu dia kat atas pentas gitu... macam tengah lost gitu.. Siot je...
Phil Animal Taylor pun dah mati bulan lepas.

So sekarang tengok Mikkey Dee yang Lemmy suka introduce sebagai "Best Drummer In The World' nak buat apa, takkan nak masuk balik King Diamond kan?
Ni yang paling seronok tengok apa Mickey Dee buat lepas ni...
Guitarist Phil Campbell ada side band kan? so tak tahu apa dia buat lepas ni.

1st. INFERNO  (confirmed!!!)

2nd. AFTERSHOCK ((maybe....depend on mood but just maybe).

Telinga aku berpendapat, ni dua album terutama lebih2 laju extra speed dan condong lebih "metal" keseluruhan dari album2 lain, sebab tu dalam banyak2 album Motorhead aku punye kegemaran ialah ni dua.

Susah nak cakap kadang2 pasal aku rasa orang akan anggap aku ni tak betul...

Orang2 lain terkejar2 macam2 dalam dunia, impikan macam2 dalam dunia yang fana' ni..

Antara Impian duniawi aku dalam hidup hanya nak tengok Lemmy umumkan "WE ARE MOTORHEAD AND WE PLAY ROCK N ROLL!".. & impian aku tercapai. HAHA. Aku tahu... benda tak mendatangkan faedah kot? tapi... ni la dreams aku dari dulu..



 Haha... Kenangan manis... Giler2 la dorang peminat2 ni, cam aku cakap... jangan isi air kencing dalam botol rejam kat orang, jangan kena aku dah!!!

Beer pun elakkan, babi betul bau melekat siot kalau baju kena beer, aku tak berkenan.. mana sempat aku nak basuh. Kena buang tshirt sayang.

OK Actually I want to talk about something else...



I feel like talking about my feelings in English, with a bit of Malay Language in between.

I want to talk about my sadness seeing Lemmy heartbreaking latest condition, my memories of Motorhead, and lastly MOTORHEAD's new album Black Magic, 
which I already hear and I am kind of dissapointed because I want it to be Inferno style, or at least Aftershock style.
But its still typical Motorhead. Nothing more nothing less. But I like Inferno very very much.
I guess you know my taste.

Because I saw the three amazing superb fan videos recordings on the internet of Motorhead playing in Austin USA two days back.

It was the start of the 3rd song Metropolis that really got me. 

I mean I read the news before I saw the video.

It was worse worse than what I can imagine after reading the news, but before seeing the video.

Of course I am distracted by Mikkey "Lemmy says he's the best drummer in the world, so it could possibly be true" Dee but its Lemmy.
Before the song seems Phil Campbell out of the video screen is volunteering to do the singing or something?
I dont really understand what Phil Campbell words are and he is out of screen, but I think its words of encouragement to Lemmy and so on after Lemmy is complaining it seems?.

Health is important!! 

I guess everyone in the world just want him to be happy and healthy.
Its ridiculous I think Motorhead's live schedule? Should have more rest in between.

Lemmy seems so bad. I think its good he stop it then force till the end of even the 3rd song

Yes he wants to rock n roll and I think he did say he will die while on the road doing his rock n roll, but still this is not the way, I think.

He got difficulty walking, standing with much discomfort and when he returns to apologise he needs a stick and move with much difficulty.

Rob Halford in Singapore with Judas Priest use a walking stick at the end, but he just sings and I guess Rob Halford only problem is with legs that time.
While Lemmy plays bass which translate double the work and Lemmy has I think a few health issues.

Music fans who listens to Motorhead will rate Lemmy highly and as a legend.

For fans in South East Asia, its difficult because Motorhead don't come and play here.

I was always fascinated hearing to live albums and Bootlegs of the spoken "We Are Motorhead and We Play Rock And Roll!!" intro.

So when the only chance I got to see Motorhead play, I was ready with my handphone. I just want to capture that moment on my handphone video when Lemmy says those words.

And I got it... LOL!!!






Its like a FULFILLMENT OF A LIFE-LONG AMBITION JUST TO HEAR LEMMY SAY THOSE MAGIC WORDS LIVE!.

Happy and memorable day that was...

Although Phil "Animal" Taylor ex drummer Motorhead was introduced and he comes on stage but he seems disorientated??????? Disorientated and Lost. I think thats the word. Nice to see him in person but not nice to see his condition then, if you get what I mean?

Benci siot aku kena hujan or simbah raining beer gi tengok konsert rock pasal bila nak basuh, abis tu backpacking baju sumbat bag semua berbau. Nak buang tshirt?? Giler ah nak buang tshirt rock pasal kena beer.

Aku berasak2 pergi depan ok untuk Motorhead tapi tak mau kat tengah, kat tengah ribut taufan puting berliung, mampos aku.

tapi kat tepi aku, korang tengoklah boleh budak2 start Mosh Pit masa nak abis. Siot... haha.

Dah la berlumpur giler. Asal jangan kena aku sudah... Aku dah "Alamak salah tempat la aku berdiri" hahaha. "Cepat2 stop main Motorhead aku nak blah dari sini!!" haha.

Kenangan aku tengok Lemmy dan Motorhead. Ni yang sebelum dia jatuh sakit. Lepas show ni yang mula2 sekali dorang main kat Wacken lepas tu Lemmy dah start meragam kesihatan dia sampai sekarang. Dia macam2 penyakit tak silap aku, silap jantung pun ada pacemaker.

BACK TO CHANNEL 5. 

In conclusion so one last thing,

I got a quick listen to the new BLACK MAGIC album by Motorhead.

Its same old, same old. Nice, but... it wont make me rush to buy the album.

- My FAVOURITE Motorhead album is always and forever - INFERNO. 

- My SECOND FAVOURITE Motorhead album is maybe AFTERSHOCK.

- Special Mention must go to ORGASMATRON due to the two best Motorhead songs ever - title track, and Deaf Forever and also one of the most beautiful album cover. Its not in my top two favourites because I dont like the other songs so much LOL!!!

From the above, I think you can guess, I prefer it more when Motorhead swings to heavy metal? I guess that is how I interpret the style of Inferno and to an extend Aftershock.

But on the BLACK MAGIC album there is suddenly Motorhead slows down for the song beautiful song called TILL THE END.

Its so bitter-sweet song.
A Poignant song.

Book Of Soul will be album of the year unless BELINDA CARLISLE release a new album then she can kick Maiden ass and I dont care. LOL!!!
2nd place for album of the year will be a fight between Paradise Lost new album & Ghost new album.
(Vreid has released one new song from their coming soon release... an imagination of the deep harsh Norway weather and environment where they grow up, certainly their style of Black Metal/N Roll but I dont think it will overtake to get 2nd place in my heart this year).

Empire Of The Cloud will be the song of the year.
But Till The End & Tears Of The Clown will fight for the saddest song of the year.

OK Time for Maiden..

This is Your Life (Japanese Version Pressing) - A Tribute to Ronnie James Dio

WARNING with all the passion that I sometimes spew on this blog - This is going to be a long post with lots of photos from the very pretty Japanese-pressing version of the Ronnie James Dio Tribute called This Is Your Life which is arranged by Wendy Dio. 
The Japanese version comes on obi-wrapped at the corner digipak with a booklet that is different as has extra info on the two extra bands (how can I resist Dio Disciple's contribution for the Japanese version) and also another extra booklet written in Japanese plus lyrics in English. Its very nice packaging.
I am very very very excited and really cannot wait for this album release.
 I really adore Ronnie James Dio, its like his voice is in ears my whole life... to see him sings live is an amazing experience, I still got shivers of the memory of him singing "Falling Off The Edge Of The World".  It so bleedingly touching..

 I'm the Man On The Mountain, The Man On The Silver Mountain.

Whether whole bands or individual members of Scorpions, Rainbow, Dio, Motorhead, Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Whitesnake etc etc, taking part is already amazing in this tribute but when Metallica is reported to be taking part in this tribute, I think the status of this tribute cd change into World News as Metallica is such a huge attraction world wide.

I have never been so excited about anything Metallica for many years. But when they say they got a problem even choosing a song from Rainbow Rising (which I think is one of my favourite all time albums, and maybe one of the most influential heavy rock and metal album till now) and they decide to choose a four songs medley of KILL THE KING (Kill The King was a little late during Rising studio recordings so that's why it end up on "LLRNR" album but its already played as the opening song during Rising Tour) /TAROT WOMAN/ STARGAZER/ LIGHT IN THE BLACK, I was so happy. 
I was never this happy with regards to Metallica since.... LOL!! maybe Bleeding Me S&M version LOL!! Its almost UNBELIEVABLE Metallica is going to play this four songs as a Medley on a Ronnie James Dio tribute album. OK enough about Metallica participation now let me hear each song and talk cock about it... 

Intro (some Tony Carey please.. LOL!!)

Ronnie James Dio voice whether for Rainbow, or Black Sabbath, or DIO is the soundtrack of my whole life, since I was a little ignorant vilage boy,  So I am very excited on this release with some of the big names of music.

My only wish was if RITCHIE BLACKMORE for once, just for once, throwing aside all feelings or whatever... do or play or contribute something too.
In addition, I think this is not only a tribute to Ronnie James Dio, but also to those humongous names in music like Ritchie Blackmore, Cozy Powell, Toni Iommi etc etc..

So on the above three photos, you have notes, stories, reflections on Ronnie and also this tribute cd written by Malcome Dome, Koh Sakai, Eddie Trunk, by musicians who participate in this tribute and also Japanese pressing booklet has the extra notes by Tim Ripper Owens on Dio Disciples participation.



ok lets begin to the songs that colours my whole life!!! I am listening to each song and then just write it on this blog...

1. Neon Knights - ANTHRAX. Joey Belladonna is simply fabulous. Love to see him play drums on YouTube with his own band playing clubs doing covers. I think at Ronnie's memorial service he sang Man On The Silver Mountain??
I hope one day Joey Belladonna will personally record a full album of Tribute To Journey. He is the best singer Journey never have. Neal Schon should have chosen Joey Belladonna to replace Steve Perry in Journey. 
2. Last In Line - TENACIOUS D. A heart-rendering start by Jack Black. IS THAT A RECORDER SOLO?!!. Very Rainbow Eyes'ish. I wish Jack Black had followed Ronnie Dio live version style last verse of "we may never!never!never!never!never!never!never!never! come home!!".. 
3. The Mob Rules - ADRENALINE MOB. Over the top. Well..my opinion anyway..
4. Rainbow In The Dark - COREY TAYLOR. Do I contradict myself if I say I like to see Stone Sour on YouTube but when I was at Donington Park and on the first night Slipknot was playing the main stage headlining First Day of Download Festival 2013,  and I decide to exit, go back to my lodge place to eat and sleep because I find them live B.O.R.I.N.G, Sorry..., anyway nice version this one.
5. Straight Through The Heart - HALESTORM. Rocking female voice!!. Love this version. OK, I got to take note to surf the YouTube and check out this Halestorm band more. "RELEASE THE HOUNDS!!!" I really love this version on second listen now!!
6. Starstruck - MOTORHEAD with SAXON'S BIFF BYFORD. Of course a 100% like for this version.
7. Temple Of The King - SCORPIONS. I am so scared to listen to this version. As a small village boy, before I discovered this techno trance breakdancers group called Iron Maiden, it was the Scorpions and Rainbow which were my dosage of introduction to the wonderful magical world of music.
So I was listening to this and I was like just gazing away... Scorpions performing Temple Of The King... WHO COULD HAVE IMAGINE THAT???

8. Egypt (The Chains Are On) - DORO. Why oh Why?? I love this Doro version but its a very old cover version!!. Ok maybe not many people have heard of this song thru all these years but Doro should still sing a new song. I would like to listen to Naked In The Rain by Doro version! Now imagine that!!
9. Holy Diver - KILLSWITCH ENGAGE - Another old one released a few years back. Its nice to re-listen to this version.
10. Catch The Rainbow - GLENN HUGHES, craig goldy, rudy sarzo, scott warren, simon wright (basically lineup of Dio Disciples band). Its so Romantic!! This song has always been so Romantic. Even when OPETH plays this song live, and I watch it on YouTube for me its still so romantic LOL!!!
Anyway, the start of this song, its the intro of As Long As Its Not About Love from Magica. Craig Goldy's album anyway.
11. I - JIMMY BAIN/ROWAN ROBERTSON/Oni Logan/Brian Tich - Jimmy Bain plays with RJD in Rainbow and Dio, Rowan Robertson is introduced in Locked Up The Wolves. This is one of my most favourite songs on this tribute cd on the first listen.

12. Man On The Silver Mountain - ROB HALFORD/doug aldrich,vinny appice, jeff pilson, scott warren  - TOTAL HAPPINESS! I am smiling from ear to ear. Exciting!! the way this song was meant to be.
13. Rising Medley (A Light In The Black/ Tarot Woman/ Stargazer/ Kill The King) - METALLICA. NINE-MINUTES-OF-HEAVY-METAL-HEAVEN!!!. Oh My Goodness, its beyond my expectation!! Everything is so perfect, LOL!!! This is James best singing since ...AJFA!!! "oohh I see his face!!" haha, James will never be Ronnie but he is still damn marvellous here! hahaha.... Is there a video for this recording...?? OOHHH!!! Kill The King is ROCKING!!!! This is the Metallica that I so love last time!! Fuck I am typing this as I am listening, and now they revert back to Light In The Black... SURPRISE!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!! and ooohhh what a dramatic Kill The King ending!! What a full of twist medley!!

Ok, I don't really follow Metallica's current developments, yes just saw them last year though left before Seek And Destroy so there is still public transport LOL!!, and yes like some of you am also eagerly waiting for the coming Helsinki show bootleg just for the historic Frayed End Of Sanity request, but listening to this... I am so happy. Listening to this Medley, I got to say I love Lars, James, Kirk and even Rick?Rob?? or John or something?? the bassist HAHAHA. I am so happy!! ok listen to it one more time....WOOHOOO!!!
14. This Is Your Life - \m/   \m/ - I dont really understand the 90s trendy industrial revolution of Angry Machine album LOL!!!, even till now. But this is the last song on that album. Ronnie and just a piano. This is a very sad song. A very poignant song. Yes, if my wishes, if my dreams have been an eagle, how would I fly?? Fuck I had surely fly to outer space with the wishes and dreams I had!! LOL!!. Never mind, I am still happy with my shares in life. I am a Muslim, I believe in what God has for me,  and this is my life... though I just got to keep on trying my best to catapult onwards and onwards and onwards!! and let it be Magical....!!!
15. Heaven And Hell - STRYPER - The most holy heaven and unholy hell choices for both band and song LOL!!! A nice cover..
16. Stand Up And Shout - DIO DISCIPLES - Craig Goldy is in and out of Dio thru the years so its nice to listen to him with Dio Disciples with Dio's final line-up plus some well-known singers.

OK end of the album, and back to the real world LOL!.
I have completed listening, this album will be on my portable music player for quite some time to accompany me while walking and taking public transport.

ALL IN ALL, this is very very very nice tribute album. I really really love it.

p.s - Maybe one day I will take a photo of the collection of CDs that I have which are Tributes to Rainbow/Dio. The Germans and Japanese ones are so amazing... 
oohh and they dare to perform Rainbow Eyes these Germans and Japanese rockers!! LOL!! But I really like the voice of the speed-up Ritchie Blackmore's wife singing this song on one of Blackmore's Night album too although she will never ever be as good as Ronnie James Dio version. 
Its so bitter sweet song...a heartbreaking song that fits Ronnie's voice completely... ok I will stop now.

motorhead - AFTERSHOCK album (cd+ live donington park dvd double disc edition)

This is my review of the double disc "best buy exclusive" version of Motorhead's Aftershock.

The Best Buy version contains the dvd of Motorhead Live at Donington Park Download Festival 2013 which I was at, thats why I bought this immediately as a form of memory.

Firstly the album Aftershock.

There are a few versions of this new Motorhead album.

There are the normal single cd version, and there is another double disc version which contains the dvd featuring their live performance at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.

So if you want to purchase the cd, do check out the different versions available for your maximum value.

Aftershock has 14 songs of total length 46minutes of " beautiful entertaining adrenaline rushed music that is enjoyable, very loud, speedy, crunchy, roaring, greasy, bluesy, and lyrically cunning" , with the shortest song Death Machine at 2:38minutes and the longest is the wonderfully titled and song Silence When You Speak To Me at 4:30minutes.

My favourite Motorhead album will always be INFERNO. Its just to me Inferno is very traditional heavy metal structured. Maybe its a rubbish point of view, but thats just how I feel personally.

Aftershock is more of the same Motorhead. Beautiful loud noisy every musical instrument is louder than everything else music, with Lemmy dirty, husky throaty voice and his prominent Rickenbacker bass, great guitars and solos by Philip Campbell and Mikkey "Lemmy introduced him as the best drummer in the world at Donington Park" Dee.

The album starts with two stormy songs Heartbreaker and Coup De Grace, then slows down for the outstanding blues song Lost Woman Blues which speed up near the end. The other time the album slows down is for the moody and bitter-sweet Dust And Glass.
Most of the other times its always fast and furious, or at least rowdy and furious haha. Songs like Do You Believe,  End Of Time, Going To Mexico,  and the awesome ending song Paralyzed. But a check on the lyrics sheet, and you realised Lemmy really has a way with words and lyrics. He is very intelligent I guess, and it seems he did the drawings for the inlets, not the cover though.

OK NOW, the DVD.

The (INCOMPLETE ONLY FIVE SONGS) Live in Donington Park Download Festival 2013 DVD which accompanies this Aftershock album. Which I remember well is 15th of June, it was a Saturday.
Motorhead was scheduled in the late afternoon, Main Stage. The weather was very kind when they were on stage.
They were in queue together with Alice In Chains, and then Queens Of the Stone Age, before Iron Maiden headline at night.
I remember it was kind of miserable for me as there was a very huge clash of timetable (at least for me),
as Motorhead was playing Main Stage, another wonderful British rock band that I really want to see play THUNDER, was at stage two at around the same time. Miserable clash.
-As from the youtubes or this dvd, you can see still quite a large number of the about 100,000 crowd were at main stage to see Motorhead plays.
-I really love Phil Campbell's stage presence and movements. Love how he walk right to the very ends of the huge main stage.

-Phil "Philty Animal" Taylor, the ex Motorhead drummer was introduced and welcomed on stage on that day. Though he seems a bit disorientated, yet he still gave Lemmy a kick on the backside haha.
-They did play "The Chase Is Better Than The Catch" and I am so happy as its my favourite song.
-I got my handphone camera on video mode ready when Motorhead appeared on stage, because I want to record the video of Lemmy saying those immortal lines "We Are Motorhead, and We Play Rock N Roll!".
-Being in the ass of the world, as far as heavy rock is concerned, Motorhead has still not play this region yet, but thats life.

So the dvd has five songs, not the full show Motorhead did that day.
I kind of realised there was sporadic small mosh pits being created all over the huge crowd during Motorhead's performance when I watch this dvd.
Its my first time there at the legendary Donington Park, so its like safety first for me, and just enjoy the shows from different bands at different stages safely.

These were two short videos I took during Motorhead, quick one minute videos for my own memories..

firstly of Motorhead appearing on stage and Lemmy saying those immortal lines and of course the throwing of beers at each other starts.
and one of the small mosh pits that happens, this one was during Ace Of Spade. IT WAS MUDDY!!! hahaha.

I think Donington Park is a very nice place to see your favourite rock bands at these festivals among 80-100,000 fellow minded music fans, if you can forgive the cold English Rain and Weather, and the miserable horrible muddy fields haha. I went alone, and its all quite easy, with the transports and such.
And everyone is so nice and courteous.
I think its an experience I want to re-live, if Iron Maiden headline there one more time before they shut down the band for good. Anyway, Kerrang did say Maiden is Donington's house band.
