I'm pretty sure this is the only Eggplant release I have yet to share on this blog. Such a fun little band that doesn't get enough cred! Short and quick little songs that if you don't pay attention they will pass you by... but worth the listen.

Another full length album that I listen to heavily. The final release of this English indie pop group, Eggplant, before breaking up came out on Spanish label Elefant Records in 1996. I liked the direction the band was heading with on this album and it's a shame they broke up!

In my opinion, Eggplant's best material is their 7" singles. They do have an LP which I enjoy, but they really put out some fantastic singles and this one is no exception.

Eggplant were a fun, fast, and poppy 3-piece band from the South of London in the mid 90s. They play a sweet form of fast paced, indie pop / twee. I remember finding this in the dollar bin (buying it solely because of the scrawling on the cover) and being blown away that three short songs could be so good and in only under 4 minutes total time! This single-sided 7" is their last, on US-San Fran based label Candy Floss in 1996.
