JOHNNY DEE - 1995 UNRELEASED EP CDEP (SOFA RECORDS [SRS001], 2001) [JP/HK]

Johnny Dee - 1995 Unreleased EP CDEP
(Sofa Records [srs001], 2001) [JP/HK]

The final release from Japan's Johnny Dee with four songs from an unreleased EP recorded in 1995. I also believe this might be the only Johnny Dee song sung in Japanese on this short CD? All others that I've heard have been English. Released on Hong Kong label Sofa Records. Wonderful tracks, enjoy! File under 80's pop

Johnny Dee - Motorbike Loves You... EP 7"
(Vinyl Japan [PAD 05], 1993) [JP]

One of my favorite releases... ever! This three song 7" EP from Japan's Johnny Dee is the perfect mix of English Sarah Records indie pop and Japanese shibuya-kei pop. Perfect sounding, I'm in love with the second song. Released 1993 on Vinyl Japan.

Here's a split from two fantastic indie pop groups; England's The Chesterfields and Japan's Johnny Dee on this Vinyl Japan CDEP release from 1994.

JOHNNY DEE - LOVE COMPILATION CD (VINYL JAPAN [ASK 38], 1994) [JP]

"10 Johnny Dee Fans Can't Be Wrong..."

Let's hope there are more of us than ten. Possibly my favorite Japanese indie pop band, Johnny Dee. I wish I knew more about them other than they were active in the mid-90s with a handful of releases on the Japanese-owned, London-based Vinyl Japan label. Including a split 7" with England's The Chesterfields (who are fantastic in their own right). Johnny Dee also had some affiliation with  another Japanese band Psychagogo, I think? I wish I could get a hold of and hear the vinyl version of this release, as it appears to have a different track listing and presumably different songs than on this CD, but that goes for a cool couple of hundred dollars.
